"93 pounds to be exact," Rain says as they continue on. "I don't focus on the weight or any pain. I've trained myself to focus such things into strength instead of weakness, something an old mentor of mine taught me."

Geodude blinked. But she still...oh well, I won't question her take on the laws of physics...just as long as she doesn't try to bring me out of the maze with her. I'd hate to think of what she'd do to me...probably use me as a soccer ball, or something, he thought to himself, wondering why he was always stuck with the crazy ones.
Suddenly, then came to a fork, and he realized he needed to do his job. Turning to the Wonder Girl, he explained her choice. "<It's a pretty basic left or right...they both go down, and I can't see any other differences.>"

"Lets try left," Rain says.
(To be honest, I think Ruby should save more of her energy for battle than for walking.)

((Then what about a Pokeball? That's what they're supposed to do...))
"<Alright, left it is,>" grunted Rain's guide as he rolled and bounced along.
They walked for a long time in a fairly straight path, until their way was obstructed by another Aron.
She pawed the ground in preparation for a battle. "<I challenge you!>"

(Well, its easier to have a pokemon out the whole time, and I want a Shelgon. But right now, I'm going to switch her out, after quick checking.)
"Okay, return Ruby, and go Queenie!" Rain says, and lets out her Horsea.
(Can we have an underground spring or something? Otherwise Queenie is at a slight disadvantage.)

((No spring, but she can still attack and move around.))
The Aron blinked, and suddenly swore. She then ran away as fast as she could past Rain, and never turned around.
Geodude coughed. "<She was Group 2, so she's not supposed to fight a Group 3 Pokemon...>"
Looking down the tunnel, he bounced forward, and then rolled back. "<We're at a dead end anyway. I think we should go back to that previous fork and take the left turn.>"

"Oops," Rain says, recalling Queenie. "Yeah, lets just do that."
(I feel embarassed, I was only doing that because Aron would have an advantage.)

((Heheh. Maybe I'll give you a break from aron. But Ember would work just fine...all bagon is weak to is ice and dragon, and aron doesn't know attacks (naturally, at least) in either of those two types.))
Her guide led Ruin back to the fork, and without asking, started to bounce and roll down the right path. Almost immediately they heard a rumbling and a loud roar very close by.
Geodude clapped his rock hands together excitedly. "<That was an onix! This is really good...they only hang around the deep parts of the maze, and the center is deep underground. We must be doing very well!>"
They went along a little more before another mawile appeared, giggling to herself. "<Well, well, well,>" she sneered. "<Look who made it so far into the maze.>"

"Not another Mawile..." Rain mutters, enlarging a pokeball. "Let me guess, you want to battle me."

"<Well duh!>" She snickered, snapping her fake jaw slowly. "<It's my job you idiot.>"

"I know, go Ruby!" Rain says, and lets out her Bagon. "Lets start with an ember attack!"

The mawile gasped as a pain shot through her body, heating her metal body parts. She jumped away from the tiny fireballs, and rested against the wall of the cavern for a moment. "<Wow, that's hot,>" she commented between breaths.
She then focused, and disappeared into the wall. Moments later, she reappeared right next to Ruby, facing away from her, with a dark energy licking off the fangs of her large extra jaw, ready to clamp down on the wingless dragon.

Ruby turns around at that moment, and aims an ember attack at the Mawile's extra jaw.

The mawile ignores the searing heat, and clamps down harder on the bagon, sending out another Faint Attack. This time she could use more of the attack on her foe, not just getting to her foe.
Geodude yawned. "<Your bagon looks tired. I'd heal her after this battle. Sometimes trainers get attacked themselves if they heal during...we have some violent Pokemon in the 'Maze.>"

"Right," Rain says, and nods to Ruby. Just as some of the attack hits the Bagon, she hits the Mawile with a Rage attack.

((How the heck would a mawile use Sweet Scent? )) The steely foe let go, and jumped away from the dragon. The attack itself didn't really hurt her much, but it sort of surprised her. "<Hmmm...so you like evading the brunt of my attacks, huh?>" She mused, thinking. She then turned around, and opened her fake jaw. A liquid started to fall from her teeth, falling to the floor like a waterfall of drool. However, as soon as it hit the air, a lovely scent wafted towards Ruby, causing her foe's ability to avoid the brunt of oncoming attacks to fall.

(Not the brightest of moves there.)
"Ruby, use ember attack now!" Rain commands, and before the Mawile can launch another attack on the Bagon, she uses ember.
(The thing is, using an attack like sweet scent leaves the pokemon susceptable to an attack by the opponent for one round.)

(No, it just doesn't do any HP damage.)

((Oh...sorry, I didn't know what you meant in your OOC note. -_-;; ))
The mawile whipped her jaw around, hitting the rock. A spray of small pebbled flew out, putting out a fair portion of the embers before they reached her. She then dove forward with a Vicegrip, since she didn't need to bother with a move like Faint Attack. Her jaws opened up towards Ruby's middle, the most sensitive area of a bagon (since their heads were all exoskeleton-like).
