Rain walks into the Underground Maze, looking around she sees nothing, but presses on into the maze to see what lies ahead.

Suddenly, a Geodude rolled out from the right turn in a fork. Then he spotted Rain, and stopped.
Suddenly, he turned back round, and shouted down the tunnel. "<Oh, hey! Everybody! We got another challenger!>"
If Rain listened hard enough, she would be able to hear whoops of joy throughout the entire maze.
He turned back to Rain, a happy look on his stoney face. "<Welcome to the Underground Maze! Please enjoy your challenge, here. I will travel with you, encase you ever want to leave. I know Dig, so I can get you out in a pinch if you ever need it. Now then...you're at a fork, so which way do you want to go?>" He asked in an upbeat tone.

"Thank you," Rain says, giving a polite bow. "How about, left."

"<Okay!>" The Geodude rolled around to the left tunnel, then looked back at Rain. "<Hey, aren't you going to follow?>"
((The Geodude is going to ask you where you want to go when you come to a fork, or if you come to a dead end. If he asks you where you want to go, write that your character actually walks/runs/hops/whatever in that direction. Sorry for not clarifying...-_-))

Rain nods, and follows him. "So, wild pokemon are found in here?" She asks. "Would I be allowed to catch one?"

The Geodude guide thought for a second, then shrugged (though how he managed to do that, nobody knows). "<Hmm...you can find Geodude, Diglett, and Aron all over the place. They work as guides, and stuff.>" He thought for a second. "<You can find Trapinch, Nosepass, Sableye, and Mawile if you look. There aren't that many, but they're definitely find-able.>" The guide was quiet for a minute as he rolled along thoughtfully, then piped up again. "<Oh yeah. I've seen a couple Onix around here. Of all the rarer ones, they're the easiest to find, since they're huge. I've seen one or two Larvitar, but they're really shy, so they hide when people come. Oh, and I saw a Beldum once. I don't think we get a lot of any of those, though...>"
And then he grinned. "<And sure, you can catch them! They come out all the time, wanting battles...it's much more fun to fight trained Pokemon than other wild ones. And if you knock one out, you can totally catch one. It's the same as anywhere else, in that aspect.>"
The tunnel continued in a relatively straight line. "<Heh, this is a long tunnel, huh? Probably one where you could find an Onix, if you're lucky.>"

"As long as we don't accidently fall into one's mouth," Rain says, sort of remembering a part of the old Star Wars movies.

"<I don't think that will happen...oh, hey! We got a wild Pokemon!>" He cried, moving aside to reveal an Aron.
The small steel-type glared at Rain. "<We can't make your challenge too easy, can we?>" He pawed at the ground, ready for Rain to send out her Pokemon.

"Okay, a Steel-type, easy enough, go Hera!" Rain says, tossing a pokeball, and letting out her Torchic. "Now, use scratch!"

The Aron shrugged off the Scratch, smirking. "<Heh, you should be more thoughtful when choosing attacks.>"
Then he lunged forward, bowing his head for a Tackle against the small, flightless bird.

"And this is why Hera needs to learn some fire attacks," Rain mumbles. "Alright Hera, use Growl to lower his attack, and strike with scratch as soon as he gets close enough!"

((Sorry, no combo attacks in one turn. Graah, was that not in the rules? Razzin' frazzin' not-typed-by-me rules...sorry if there was any confusion! >_< *goes off to modify rules*))
The Aron shivered as he heard the Growl, but glared steadily at Rain and Hera anyway.
Then he charged forward for a Tackle once again, bowing his head so that the cold metallic little exoskeleton thing he had goin' on would slam into the small, flightless bird's body.
The Geodude guide rolled over to Rain. "Hey, Miss Challenger," he whispered. "If you use Scratch on his underside, it will do more damage. Have your Torchic stand still. When the Aron hits her, he might be tossed back. Then order her to go for his stomach."

"Thanks," Rain says, and then realizes that it would be too risky to relay the information to Hera, the Aron might get wind of it. "Hera, stand still, and wait for the attack!"

The opposing Pokemon smirked (or however an Aron does a facial expression equivalent to a smirk), and lunged at the Torchic, thinking he would be able to hit the Pokemon with the full power of his attack.
But as he lunged at the Torchic, his legs were spread out...leaving his stomach wide open.

This was the moment Rain had been waiting for. "Hera, striike him in the stomach with scratch attack!" She commands.

((Your Torchic still got hit, you can't avoid it. You should really type that in...your Pokemon are characters, too! Give them the attention they deserve!))
The Aron thought he had the Torchic as he felt himself collide with her, and score damage points.
Then he realized his stomach really, really, really hurt...
So then, flailing about, he forgot that he was so close to the wall...and slammed into it, knocking himself out.
The Geodude shook his head (or, rather, his whole body). "<Some of the Aron here lack more than one brain cell, it would seem.>"
((You beat a level 5 Aron! I don't remember what level Hera is, and since I can't find out...she gains half a level!
You should copy in all your Pokemon's stats and keep track of their levels in your trainer's profile in the Applications board. That way, I can give you the correct amount of fractional levels when you defeat Pokemon, and I can make battles go faster. Otherwise, if you get to challenge Arisa...I'll have to assume your Pokemon are all the levels you caught them as, since I get those stats.
Just a heads up...-_-))

(Hehe, I'll get on that.)
Rain nods. "Go pokeball," she says, tossing the pokeball.

The Pokeball hit the rock-hard head of the Aron, and a small vacuum opened, enclosing around the Aron. The Pokeball hit the ground and began to rock back and forth, but then dinged shut.
The Geodude nodded, impressed. "<Nice to see some people catch those things. They're so annoying to deal with around here, you know? Oh well, I'm sure he'll be a powerful Lairon or Aggron, once you evolve him up. Shall we continue?>"
((Wow...hey, you caught a male Pokemon! ^_^ Here is the stats...
Aron Level: 5 Gender: male Nickname: you choose Ability: Rock Head: Aron receives no recoil damage Attacks: Tackle, Harden Personality: Pretty serious during battle, and he really gets into the fight. Loves to win, hates to lose. Outside of the battlefield, however, he's a completely different guy. He loves to prepare food, and can't wait to become an Aggron so that he may cook more easily. Pretty calm, pretty clear headed...just not when he's fighting.))

(Yeh, well, I don't play favorites to gender, I'll probably switch my team around later.)
"I hope so," Rain says, putting the pokeball at her belt, and they start walking again.

The Geodude continued to roll or bounce forward until they reached a three-way fork. One path went left and seemed to slant upwards, one path continued to go forwards but slant down, and the third path veered right, but seemed to continue on to make a U-turn.
The Geodude turned to Rain, motioning to the fork with one of his stony hands. "<Well? Which way do you want to go?>" He asked.
((I thought you said you only caught females? ^_^;; Back when I gave you a male Bagon...at least...))
