((Hahah.))
Suddenly, for no apparent reason, Rain's Caterpie's Pokeball disappeared. Two and a half seconds later, another Pokeball appeared in its place. If Rain threw it to release the Pokemon, she'd see a very familiar zigzagoon.
"<They're closing in!>" The lotad called, backing up as two caterpie chased her. "<Send out a Pokemon! EW, THEY'RE SPITTING AT ME!>"

"Go, whoever you are!" Rain shouts, grabbing the first pokeball she finds, which happens to be her Zigzagoon. "Oh, okay, use Hidden Power!"
(That was the extra attack you gave her so long ago, right?)

((Check again. It's actually Hidden Power. And it's a dragon type attack. X3 So once you change it with the correct attack, I'll post my thing. ))

The lotad nodded, and as one caterpie was hit by the attack, she charged the second, using Absorb. She bit down on him, absorbed a bit of his health, then shoved him into the other one.
Both hit each other painfully on the head, and were promptly knocked out.
Rain's Pokedex beeped, and told her that two level six caterpie had been successfully defeated. It then went on to say that the lotad gained two half-levels, bringing her up to level 9, and that her zigzagoon gained two levels, bringing her up to level 8.

((And there you go. ^_^; ) The two remaining caterpie looked at each other. "<Sir, I think we'll have to train more...>" the second in command muttered nervously. "<Nonsense! We have a battle at hand right now! The two of us have to attack! MOVE OUT!>" He roared before charging Lotad with a fierce Tackle. The other, after sighing a bit, did the same to Zigzagoon. Lotad gave an "oof" as she was hit with the caterpie, and scurried away, limping a little. "<So...uh...trainer...what should I attack with? Absorb? I could sure use some painkillers...>"

"Yeah, use Absorb, and call me Rain," Rain says, realizing she had forgotten to give the Lotad a command. "(insert Zigzagoon's name here), use Hidden Power again!"
(I forgot my Zigzagoon's name...)

((I think it was Kansai...though it could have been Kasuga. Check your applications thread...it should be in there. Or you could just refer to her as "Zigzagoon," since that's the species name. And for Mew's sake, make her ditzy!))
The lotad nodded, and did the same thing - she bit down on the commander, sucking out some of his vital energy. However, he was indeed stronger than the previous two, and was able to wriggle out and Tackle her on the short range, causing a critical hit.
The other caterpie, it seemed, also was able to withstand his hit. He rolled away from much of the attack, only taking the brunt of it to the tail. He then charged the zigzagoon with another Tackle.

(Ditzy isn't my strong suit.)
"Lotad, Absorb, Zigzagoon use Tackle!" Rain commands.
(Not sure if she knows that, if not, Hidden Power again.)

((Eh, it's a safe bet with the zigzags, but Ruin, you should really know your pokemon's attacks better ^^.))
Since absorb was a fairly weak and pathetic attack to use against the bug type caterpie all it suceeded in doing really was bringing the lotad into the pokemon's range. The caterpie blew stringshot in a fine spray all over the lotad, trussing her up in a net of bug drool webbing.
However, Kansai met her caterpie in a head on tackle. She rammed into the bug, sending him flying into the air with the power of her stocky body. He came to rest on the ground with a thump, and didn't move.
((Kansai has defeated a level 6 caterpie. She gains 1/2 a level. She is now level 8 1/2))

"Lotad Astonish, Kansai, use Hidden Power!" Rain commands.
(Okay, so Zigzagoon isn't one of my favorite pokemon to use.)

((Haha. Then catch something else and ditch her in the PC, or something. -_-;;; ))
Lotad nodded, and pecked one of the caterpie. He jolted upright, unable to attack for a second, though the attack didn't actually cause much damage.
The other caterpie was the same way...the oncoming attack mostly hit the ground, and the rest hit his tail. Though he was panting pretty heavily, he withstood another of Kansai's attacks.
The second-in-command, the one who hadn't been hit with Astonish, dove towards Kansai with another Tackle.

(I didn't say I don't use Zigzagoon, I just don't use them as often.)
"Okay, time for a change of strategy, return!" Rain says, and recalls her Zigzagoon. "Go, Hera!" She says, and lets out her Torchic. "Now use Ember!"

The caterpie shrieked as he fell down in a burnt and unconscious heap.
The lotad, however, also shrieked as the other caterpie slammed into her side, knocking the wind out of her and rendering her unable to attack for the turn.

"Sorry, Hera, lets stop this now with an ember attack!" Rain commands, and the fire chick sends a blast of fire at the Caterpie who just attacked Lotad.

Lotad stared as the caterpie went down. "<Well...okay, I guess,>" she muttered, a little confused. "<I could have attacked, I think...do you have a berry, or something? I feel a little weak...>"
Meanwhile, Rain's Pokedex displayed that Lotad grew to level 9, while Kansai was level 8.

((Yup, all new trainers get a bag of assorted berries for this kinda situation. And you can just randomly come across a berry tree if you need to heal between battles...it keeps your team from getting Sue-ish.))

"Yeah, just a sec," Rain says, and takes out a berry, and hands it to the Lotad.
(Its either an Oran berry, or that more powerful one.)

"<Thanks,>" she mumbled through bites of the juicy fruit. Swallowing, she sighed. "<There. Much better,>" she chirped happily. "<Now then...let's...AAAAH! RATTATA!>"
And, true to her shriek, a rattata lunged at her with a Tackle. The lotad fended it off with an Absorb, though she was quickly hit with another Tackle. Finally, with a third Absorb, she managed to knock him out...
Rain's Pokedex beeped. "Lotad - level 10," it read.
((I'm bored...>_<;;;;;; Oh, and for Arisa...I think you should use Lotad and Kansai first, then switch to Hera when either one or both of the water-types are gone. She can handle Arisa's Jynx fine...))
