Zach finally stood up when Jasmine tugged on his arm and asked a question that Zach dread.
<Who was the funny Shuppet?>
Before Zach would answer it, beyond "No-", she had asked a question that sent him into a frantic state of running around.
<Where's Rapheal?>
If it hadn't been for the fact he hadn't strayed far from the tunnel entrance (a result of running into a building), the Zangoose would definatly have had a hard time finding him in the underground city. Said underground city was driving Zach crazy, and he couldn't help but wonder what legendary he had made mad enough to send him such bad luck. He shouldv'e gone on the first route, and that was that. To late now...He'd have to go back through the tunnel to get to the first route.
<There you are.> Rapheal appeared at his elbow, sending Zach into the air as he jumped in surprise. <Here's your new Lairon. The paper said to find a dentist, 'cause there's a Kings Rock stuck in her tooth. That's why she was angry.>
"You caught her?! Why?" Zach took the pokeball as if it might explode, then dropping down to give Rapheal a quick hug. He had honestly been worried that he had lost the pokemon, which wouldv'e been very bad.
<Because she's strong. And because I figured you could do with her, in your battle. Singe is the only one really up to it, and you need to train some more anyways. After you heal all of us.>
Zach's eyebrow twitched slightly, as he looked back at the tunnel. Train? He shuddered, and turned away from the glowing tunnel. "Right. Dentist. Well, I guess we can look in the pokecenter first. Maybe they can do pokemon dentistry, and if not, they ought to know where to go."
So they entered the first pokecenter they saw. Ta-daaa.

The woman behind the desk turned arou, and actually turned out to be a man, for starters. Well, a boy with bleached blonde hair. There was a sign on the counter saying: "The nurse is currently out at the moment. Please address all problems to this NCP. - The Jenta Pokemon League"
"Hello?" the boy asked, looking at little bewidlered at the cavalcade that had marched in. There was something really strange in the juxtaposition of a shiny, vicious looking zangoose gently holding a baby sandshrew.

((-just realized how odd that is- XD Rapheal, the big scary Zangoose, is a doting daddy!))
Zach grinned, taking comfort in the fact that this was a building, and while underground Zach wouldn't know unless he looked out a window. Which he kept from doing. "Hello. You can heal pokemon, while the nurse is out, right?" He indicated his pokemon, and then said, "'Cause mine are all tired and hurt-'Cept for Jasmine-and I was wondering if anyone here could do something about a Lairon's toothache, or if anyone knew where I could find someone who did."

"Um, I think my slowpoke's confusion could lift it out," the boy said doubtfully. "There isn't a lot of call for dental work in Nga. But I dunno. Maybe you could figure something out while I turn on the healing machine. Er, just put your pokeballs on the machine. Um. Maybe a big pair of pliers could work?"

Zach nodded, thinking about it. "Might work...Heal her first though. Here, you two need to return so you guys can get healed as well." Fishing out two more pokeballs, he returned Rapheal and Jasmine to their respective pokeballs and put the entire group on the machine. "Stick my hand in her mouth? I don't think so. Rapheal-the Zangoose-was the one that caught her, not me."

"Okay, we'll stick to the telekinetic solution," the stand in nurse shrugged as he pressed the button.
The machine lit up, and the pokeballs seemed to glow, while the tinny elevator music played. The blonde boy winced. "I don't know why they don't change the music for those things. It's really annoying. Good thing it's over quickly."
He picked out the pokeballs, and handled the six over to Zach. "All right, let's release her and have a look, shall we?" he said, trying to sound professional.

Taking the pokeballs back, he rummaged around until he found hers (Now that he thought about it, he had no clue how he told the difference between them), and released the grumpy pokemon.
Huur was in no better mood than before. In fact, she was in an even worse mood. Someone had turned the world off for her, and then someone had gone and turned it back on and made it even worse than before. She voiced this complain quite loudly, and even thudded against the counter that sent a nice sized shudder running through it.
< Argh! Turn it back on, will you? I'll show you! > And she attempted to ram the counter again to get at the stand-in nurse, Zach having disapeared behind her.
There was one thing about her being a Lairon. Attempting to ram the counter could be very easily succeeded, so Zach was quick in releasing Singe. "Singe, get her to stay still for a moment, would you?"
The Slugma sighed, <Very well.> She oozed over to the pokemon (it was a good thing pokemon centers were made out of stuff to withstand slugmas) and shot a weak flamethrower at it to get it's attention. She succeeded into shocking it into calmness. <Stay still.>

"Hookay," the boy breathed out, retreiving a pokeball from his belt he released the slowpoke, who blinked sleepily at the assembly. "Hime, lift the king's rock from around her tooth with a confusion," the stand-in said, looking at the lairon worridly. "Open your mouth, Miss Lairon."

Zach muttered something about her name being Huur, but sighed in relief as as she complied.
Of course, the only thoughts going through her mind was tha if they could get the darn thing out she would be very much happy. That, and she might be able to get away from the slugma. Some ill-feeling still stood from being set on fire, and all that.

The slowpoke stared blankly at the open mouth, as her trainer walked around the desk, to look a the wide flat teeth in the jaw made for crushing rock. He poked ar ound gingerly, and then seemed to find what he was looking for.
"Alright, Hime, second to last on the left. Confusion, carefully now."
The slowpoke glowed blue, and the tan ring of what looked like grit around the molar moved. It jiggled, wiggled, and finally popped off the tooth, proving to be one of those naturally crown shapped stones known as king's rock.
The boy caught the floating rock ing a napkin, and began to wipe it clean. "There, is that better?"

When the item was removed, and Huur didn't go into fits, Zach returned Singe to her pokeball with a sigh of relief.
<Much better. Thank you.> Now that her tooth didn't ache so unbearably, the remnants of the toothache already fading, Huur was quite pleasant.
"Thank you." Zach smiled, before nearly falling backwards as Huur advanced on him, mumbling something about him being one to let the slugma shoot her into flames. She paused though, when she figured that it was also him who had in a way gotten the rock out of her teeth, and so she decided to let him live. Unmauled. For now.

"Er," the nurse looked at Zach, who was sweating slightly. "Why don't you try training round about? There are problably more pokemon to face in Sunstone Tunnel, or there's a teleporter to the Altering Mansion, or Santuku Island, and there is an entrance to the Underground Maze quite near here."

Zach shuddered at the idea of training in Sunstone Tunnel, then sighed as the stand-in nurse gave alternate ideas. "Altering Mansion? Santuku Island?" The Underground Maze was out of the question. He wanted out from under the ground, not in a maze under it! "'Eh, Santuku Island sounds the safest...Where's the teleporter?"

"It's just in the back room," the boy pointed to a pair of glass doors that opened on the corridor that lead down to the cafeteria. Along the hallway there were two phones, and a strange tile set in the floor just beyond those. "Just step on the warp tile."

Zach nodded, "Thanks. C'mon Huur, return." The Lairon flashed red and disapeared into the pokeball, and Zach walked down the corridor and stepped on the warp tile. He had the sinking feeling it was going to make him sick, and the sinking feeling proved correct. In fact, he turned green, and very nearly puked, but he didn't.

((-pokes head in thread- Heya! I'm gonna use this for my wonderful gym battle, yes. -nods-))
A clattering sound came from the direction of the warp tile, although it wasn't because of Zach. Rather, it was Huur, who had refused to be put back into her pokeball (even when Zach tried to return her), because she found the increased mobility to be amazing. Sure, compared to other pokemon she was moving as slow as a slowpoke (well, maybe a bit faster), but to her it was like high-speed. It was amazing.
It was very hard to control where she went, and the clattering came from the telephones being crashed around and probably damaged beyond repair, as she squished them against the wall while stumbling off the tile. Zach was green again, and didn't pay much attention to it.
Huur thought it interesting to point out (pointedly not mentioning the phones, since Zach hadn't noticed), that his face was nearly the same color as the funny pendant that had come around his neck right before they left the grasslands. < Hey! You're face is the same green as that funny necklace. >
Zach shook his head, the green disapearing. "Warp tiles...Bad...Don't mention the necklace. It's creepy. I just want it off. I don't even want to know where it came from." He stared at his Aggron, "Will you come in now? I promise I'll let you out first for the battle, but you're going to destroy something if you don't learn to walk first. Two legs are far different from four. The moment there's nothing important you can destroy-or that I'll have to pay to fix-You can practice walking."
Huur, who was using her body to block his view from the phones nodded placidly. He probably shouldn't figure out about the phones. <Promise?> At his nod, she sighed, <Well, okay...But first let's get back to the main room. There's nothing to break in the hallway, you know, and I'll be careful!> When he nodded again, she grinned an Aggron grin and stumbled her way foward, managing to keep Zach from noticing the damaged phones.
Yay. Despite the fact she had to disapear into the pokeball, it was still a yay. She wasn't in trouble, and she really didn't want to fight Zach. She'd probably squish him.
Zach waved at the stand-in nurse, "Thanks." Before heading out of the door. Hmm...Where was the gym? He was starting to get creeped out again, and wanted to get into a building fast. One without windows. Where he could pretend to be on the surface of the earth, not in a mountain.
After asking directions from some not-to-scary people (although they were crazy, for living under the earth), he managed to find it and wandered in. "Umm...Hello?"

Suddenly, another aggron stomped up to them. He peered down at Zach, looking rather amused at his expression. "<Are you afraid of the dark?>" He asked, a wry smile on his face. "<Why'd you pick Bahati to challenge if you were afraid, hm?>"

Zach crossed his arms, mumbling something about Aggron being one of the more annoying pokemon, and about how he wasn't afraid of the dark. Which was a completle lie, but a boy had to try and save some of his dignity, didn't he?
Sullenly, he said something along the lines of, "Didn't know it would be so dark..." It probably wouldn't have been as bad if The Thing hadn't managed to get out of it's pokeball. It might even have been half-way decent, what with Rapheal there to kick anything that tried to eat him away.
Well, anything except The Thing.

The aggron laughed heartily. Little humans were funny...
"Mwenye?" A grizzly old voice called to the time of a tapping stick. "Mwenye, do we have a challenger?"
"<Yeah, Bahati, I guess we do,>" the aggron, Mwenye, replied.
An old woman rounded the bend, stepping onto the steel floor with her geta clacking loudly. Her eyes squinted through the dim light at Zach, and her mouth turned into a wrinkly smile. "Hello there, young man," she greeted kindly. "I am Bahati, the gym leader of the Settlement of Nga. Would you like to challenge me in a gym battle for the Ore Badge?"
