Nervously Approaching the Lab, Blue Glanced around the Establishment with a look a Pure Terror, as She Pressed her Sunglasses closer to her face, trembling slightly. Have you Ever Heard of the Term ‘phobia’?
I’m Not Sure the Correct Term For Blue’s Fear, But it would Probably be toxinpokefobia.
Which is why she was so freaked out about this place. For one-The Professor Might have One of this Ekans out… Or Both. Gahhh…
“Just Get in and Get out.” She Said, mainly to herself, and Partly to her knees. They needed to stop shaking. Forcing herself to go up to the Door, She closed her eyes tightly, and Rapped Twice on the Door with her fist.
She’d peaked at the List before she’d Knocked. She wasn’t Getting a Poison Type.. That was for sure. Or Grass. Or Bug. She Shuttered, as she waited for Something to Open the Door.

Someone did open the door after a moment. Professor cherry smiled down at Blue. "Welcome to Jenta. You are here for your starter set, right?" he asked as he held the door open. He was a little worried, as he'd gotten so used to handing out starters to people that he'd almost made a delegation from a girl scout troupe take away a starter set a piece.
The front area of the lab was a big square room with white washed walls and wood flooring that was obscured by the multitude of tables and chairs scattered around where there weren't bookshelves. The walls were similarly cluttered with posters, or had stacks of paper leaning against them. Only the bookshelves themselves seemed to be in any order, and half of the book sheleves had pokeballs resting in special slots instead of paper. And because a wandering girafarig had said it wouldn't be a good idea for him to have Hana and Haru out and about today, the ekans were out back, pouting as they sunned themselves on rocks.

Blue nodded, and stepped inside, looking around,"Yeah. I'm Here for my Starter set."She Didn't see the Ekans around, Which was a great relief to Her, "I was thinking a Fire Type, Or Maybe flying." She Told the Professor, as she took in the Setting of the Lab. Well. It was a Tad more Organized than her room.

"Well I'm glad that you came prepared," he replied. "If you didn't have time to read the list outside the door," Professor Cherry pointed at a poster on the far wall by a door leading to who knew where, "we keep a poster up over there. Now, did you have something more specific in mind? Your choice in group one starters does somewhat affect your group three and group two starters, so please choose wisely," he looked at her suddenly. "You do know about Jenta's three starter system, right? I keep on forgetting not everyone knows. Well, I do have a pamphlet on it somewhere," he rummaged around on the nearest desk and came up triumphant. "Here you are. I think you'll have no problem. Just please remember that the group two and three starters are totally random, so please don't be disappointed if you don't get your ideal dream team staring out." ((And for you viewing pleasure: Pamphlet on the Grouping SystemList of Starters))

"I Knew a Little About it. Mom Had me Read something about it. But, Me being Me... I Think I've Forgoten already." She took the Pamphlet, and Flipped through it, walking over to the wall with the Poster. After a Few Mintues, She looked up at the Poster, eyes Scrolling Down the List of Pokemon.
"Letsee.... Maybe a Cyndaquil... Or Maybe the Driftloon. It looks More like a Ghost Type than flying. Maybe it's Both." She Murrmered to herself, "To Bad there aren't any Pyschic Types." Finally she turned to the Professor Holding out the Pamphlet to him, "I Think I'll Go with the Driftloon."

"Good choice," the professor nodded. "No one has picked a drifloon before. I'd like you to tell me how it goes for you. Do you have any personality preference, or should I pick randomly off the rack?" He was already shuffling over to a compute, and beginning to type things in. "Oh! Pokedex color. We have purple, green, navy blue, brown, red, black, yellow and orange at the moment. They're in that bin over there. Just pick out one that you like the color of."

“As Long as It doesn’t try to Float away. Pick Randomly… I don‘t mind,“ Blue said with a smile, Walking over to the bin and pulling out a Purple Pokedex. Purple to Match the Driftloon. She Examined it, Flipping it Over, then back and Opening it.

((Lab post of doom coming up...but yay! You picked drifloon! I luv drifloon! ^_^))
The professor nodded, saw that she had picked a Pokedex, and left into the back room. He returned with a brown paper package, all tied up in string, and handed it to the girl. Prodding it with his grubbly old finger, he began to explain its contents.
"Alright, so inside this package is your starter set, minus the Pokedex for obvious reasons. You'll find a bag of assorted berries for healing on the road, a wallet with 5000 pyen, five empty Pokeballs, and three filled ones - each has one of your starters inside. Now, if you'll follow me, I'll explain the various journey beginnings."
He lead her over to a map of Jenta, and prodded a dot near the middle of the west coast marked "Jenta Laboratory". "This is where we are right now. As you can see, there are three roads leading away from the lab; you may choose any of these three roads as your first route. Each one is populated with Pokemon from a different group, so you'll only be using one of your starters depending on the route you choose."
He dragged his finger east toward a dark, ringed circle labled "Sapphire City". "This is Route 1. It's by far the most popular route, yet it has one of the harder gyms right away. This one has Group 1 Pokemon, so your drifloon will see all the action, though you can still interact with your other two Pokemon. Your drifloon does have a weakness against the ice-types in the Sapphire City gym, and trainers seem to have difficulty planning around her types, so I'm not sure if this would be the easiest of the three to do first."
He returned his finger to the lab dot, then traced the southbound route. "This is Route 3, which takes you down south to Florak Town. The route itself is more populated than Route 5, though less so than Route 1, yet we haven't had any gym battles from the gym recently. Here is where you'll train your Group 2 starter, which is a vulpix, so you'll have an advantage against Botan's grass-types in the gym. Back him up with a flying-type and a grass-type or poison-type, and you'll have a winning team for sure. I would recommend this route."
Finally, he brought his finger up past the laboratory dot, and continued north to the mountainous area. "Your final choice is Route 5/Sunstone Tunnel, which takes you underground to the Settlement of Nga. Your Pokemon here, your togepi, will be your main battler along the route, though he'll have a bit of difficulty with the steel-types in the gym. However, you can back him up with one of the many fire-types or ground-types along the route or in the tunnel, and you'll have few problems. This one would also be a nice route to take, especially since the travel rate is low right now."
The professor nodded, looking down at the girl. "Well, that's it, eh? You may leave now, unless you have some sort of question that needs asking."
((Whew! Anyway, here are the stats of your three Pokemon. Please copy and paste them into your trainer's profile - that's the thread you posted in the Applications forum originally for your character. Please keep them up-to-date, ESPECIALLY with the levels and attacks!
Drifloon Gender: female Level: 5 Group: 1 Nickname: you choose Ability: Aftermath: if knocked out by a physical attack, opponent receives damage Attacks: Constrict, Minimize Personality: quiet and shy. She's a bit of a bookworm, and would much rather talk about books with a close friend than battle. She loves to float around her trainer, but anybody else just makes her a nervous wreck. To say the least, she's not good with strangers...sweet, but too shy to make friends and show her sweetness.
Vulpix Gender: male Level: 25 Group: 2 Nickname: you choose Ability: Flash Fire: fire attack power raised and not hurt if hit with fire attacks Attacks: Flamethrower, Roar, Will-O-Wisp, Confuse Ray Personality: intense and battle-obsessed. He doesn't speak much, unless it has to do with strategy or training. He thinks anything that doesn't revolve around battle is useless - he'll only pay attention if you can relate it to a battle. He's loyal to you if you act serious about battling, and will listen to all your problems...just use a battle analogy. He's probably good and caring at heart, but it's VERY deep down.
Togepi Gender: male Level: 45 Group: 3 Nickname: you choose Ability: Serene Grace: increases chances of added effects from attacks Attacks: Baton Pass, Safeguard, Ancient Power, Wish Personality: Sweet, kind, yet very mature. He always thinks before he speaks, is very loyal to his trainer and teammates, and always tries to say something nice. However, he is also a bit self-conscious, and always overanalyzes the situation to make it worse in his head than in actuality.
Alright...to Route 1/3/5 with you!
Remember, if you want to use the other two Pokemon, just make a thread in one of the "other places" forums (like Sankaku Island or the Underground Maze). You can have a thraed there going simultaneously with the "adventure thread" on one of the main routes. That way, you can train multiple Pokemon at the same time.))
