Bucks nodded, <well, I'm sure he's going to apreciate you helping him. He seemed nice enough. Once he's healed you can ask him if he wants to be released or be a part of your team!> The duck suggested smiling.
Carfish wondered if his new friend was liking it inside the pokeball, he scratched his face and listened to Corath and Mortah conversing. Conversing seemed so much fun.
Aamir felt like his ears were bleeding, the teen fell down clutching his ears. "I... hate... bats..."
Bugurl shot another water gun at it from behind.

"Right then," Carra gripped the pokeball in her hand, and turned around for the tents, and her pack (not realizing that Bucks already had it), when she saw Aamir flailing around. "Oh, gosh!"
<Oh, hey,> Crath scuttled around to peer at the human. <Bugurl's really doing good. Should we help?>
<The amphibian?> Morath didn't exactly get along with the joking wooper. <You're out of your mind.>
The zubat was knocked into the air again, slamming against the near wall this time. He slid down it to collapse in a heap at the bottom. He didn't seem ready to move, and after a while it was clear that he had fainted.

Do you want another pokemon, or do you want to skip to the next day?

[Let's skip to the next day.]
<Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnn!!>
"Urgh.. No." Aamir groaned, waving his hands up in the air and making shoo-ing postures. It was way too early to be woken up, why were babies obsessed with early mornings anyway? Aamir didn't even remember anything past falling down after that dumb bat screamed at him yesterday. Didn't even get to have dinner. Oh well, going back to sleep now~
Bucks woke up, shook his head vigourosly to snap him out of his sleepyness. The orange duck made his way scratching the back of his head and picked up the baby kacleon in his arms, <there, there,> the psyduck quitened down the baby. The cries softened down until there were none.
Not known to Aamir or Bucks, Carfish and Bugurl were already out, they had sneaked out of their tent quite a while ago. Well actually, it was the wooper who sneaked out, the poor corphish just caught her in the act and decided to follow her just in case she wouldn't get herself in trouble.
Carfish pinched her cheeks and shook his head, obviously saying no to what she was planning to do.
<Oh c'mon, Carfish! Stop being a party-pooper!>
The ruffian pokemon crossed his pincers and shook his head.
<Pleeeassee? I want to ride these rope thingies just once! We're goign to leave today. I promise we'll hurry back to the tent before anyone finds out.>
Carfish frowned. Before he could react, the wooper already jumped on the elevator thing signaling for the corphish to come along. Carfish sighed, and hesitantely made his way in the elevator and saw on one of the seats. They were on it, but it wasn't moving? Both of them sat on the elevator silently waiting for it to move.

Below the rangers of the day shift were switching with the night shift. When one of the ropes began to vibrate a new ranger quickly attached a nearby rope to her belt, and hauled herself up. Hopefully none of the birds had nested on the ropes overnight. The small wooden platforms were good for night time nesting, when most birds stopped being active. That always got tricky, and Tessa didn't like to battle before breakfast, which wasn't easy when her muffin was down on the sands in the cooler the Rangers kept all their food in for the day.
She stopped when she saw the wooper and the corphish. Peering into the cave, Tess witnessed the burned out remains of a fire, and two tents. No one looked as thought they were stirring. The two pokemon must belong to the campers. Corphish and wooper were not uncommon on Miteinjan, but they were unheard of in this area.
"Shoo!" Tess told the duo. "Wait for everyone to get up, and go with them. Shoo! We have enough to do, and the birds will--"
"Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiwiiiiiiiiii!" shrieked another early riser, coming in at a sharp angle when she had seen the two pokemon on the ropes. Both looked as though they might be tasty for a hungry wingull.

Bugurl cocked her head to the side as the nice ranger girl told them to go back to their tents immediately.
Shoo?
<Hey Carfish, I think this lady lost her shoe! I think she wants us to look for it. And maybe, ask everyone else with us to look for them too!> The wooper told the corphish with a frown, Carfish looked at the human girl apologetically. Poor human who lost her shoe. Bugurl shorly wondered if wearing shoes was fun.
Carfish peeked from the edge of the elevator, maybe the shoe fell from the top to the bottom.
Then suddenly both of the pokemon flinched as they heard a loud voice approaching them -- both of them recognized the voice as a wingull's.
<Carfish! Look, it's one of those wingull things! What do we do!?>
The ruffian pokemon frowned at the wild bird and started shooting his bubble attack at it.

The bubbles popped harmlessly on the wingull's feathers. They stung a little, seeing as she slammed into them with quite a bit of force, but to a water type more water was hardly a problem. She zoomed in, landing on the wooden board with a thump. The rope rocked precariously, almost dumping the two passengers who could not fly away, and smashing into Tessa's side.
"Ow! Go away you stupid bird!" Tessa yelled, trying to stabilize the elevator, and drive the wingull off.
In response she pecked at Tessa's hand, and coraked. Then she turned, her large wings nearly knocking into Bugurl, and Pecked the attacking crustacean.

The wingull decided to land really hard on the elevator, the rope elevator shook vigorously. Bugurl supported herself by tying her big, awesome, and multi-purpose tail to the ropes. While Carfish used his pincers to grab a firm grip in the seats.
Not only the crazy wingull almost made them fall, but almsot hurt Bugurl and pecked at carfish. Corphish rubbed his head as the elevator was now stable. The reason he chose to do the bubble attack at first was to make the wild wingull lessen its accuracy.
<Carfish! Let's teach this psycho-bird a lesson!>
Carfish nodded.
Carfish decided to his vice grip attack, tightly pinching the water bird. Bugurl gave a mud shot attack.

((Uh, Carfish, dahling, Bubble lessens speed, not accuracy, and wingull have Keen eye which means that accuracy can't be weakened anyway. And wingull are flying types, so Mud Shot doesn't work on them.))
The hard orange claws darted out to grip the wingull's wing. The agony of the crunching embrace was excruciating, she squawked angrily, and flapped about, fighting to get way. The wooden elevator continued to rock, and the jerking tossed the Mud Shots all around, except for the area they were aimed at.
Tessa caught one on her chest, which sent her swinging away from the pokemon battle, She swung back, cursing furiously. "Stupid, stupid bird," She growled, smacking backinto the wooden platform, and feeling a bruise ache in her side.
The "stupid bird" shrieked again, and stabbed at Bugurl with her beak.

[Me: Shame on you two! You should know better! Carfish: -pinch- :@ Me: Ow! What!? Bugurl: He's saying you're the one who's controlling us, silly! Me: Oh, right.. O-O; ]
Bugurl winced as she was pecked by the psycho and stupid bird. The wooper decided to do her tail whip attack and slapped the bird with her big and awesome blue tail. <Huah! Hyah! I hope your defense falls now! Bwaahhah! That's for throwing away the shoe-lady! -- Oh wait, I think that was me.. anyways~>
Carfish frowned and tried another one of his vice grips at the wingull.

The Tail Whip snapped the wingull's head to the side, making her ears ring. She couldn't concentrate properly, and advanced upon the wooper, her wings half raised in an aggressive position. She forgot the other pokemon and didn't realize that she had turned her back all the way to him. Possibly that hadn't been her brightest idea. Carfish's Vicegrip crunched into her wing bone, and she staggered with the pain, flapping to one side, than the other, before collapsing, still in the crustacean's grip.
Tessa breathed out, and grabbed at the wingull, not wanting the assailants to be there when it woke up. "You silly corphish, let go. Go back to your trainers. Both of you, this isn't a game!" the ranger exclaimed, feeling furious with herself and the world. She was hungry, bruised, and the shine hadn't worn off the early morning fog.

Both, the wooper and corphish did a victory dance as the stupid and psycho wingull was finally defeated once and for all. Both of them stopped soon however, because the lady who lost her shoe was screaming at them to leave.
Well, she was just being mean now.
Bugurl gave another tail whip, and slapped the wingull towards Tess with her tail. Couldn't they enjoy some rope elevator time? Carfish waved his pincers in a protest but Bugurl just laughed, <it's okay! She's not hurt or anything. I bet that bird is light! And don't worry, we will go dooown soon! I just want some fresh air, it's so nice up here.>
Carfish frowned. She was calling for trouble.

Tessa grabbed at the bird, and glared at the two pokemon. "Listen! It's dangerous out--,"
Another scream sounded, And the knocked out bird in Tessa's arms seemed to revive. She was pecked, and the former foe took off, using her shoulder, and leaving a dropping there. This did not help as the next wingull to come in came from behind Tessa, grabbing her hat in his beak.
"Give that back!" Tessa called out, sadly frustrated.
She grabbed at the wingull, but missed as he swerved around her outstretched fingers. He looped triumphantly wanting to cackle, but afraid to lose the hat. It was his prize. Making a sharp turn he dropped it on Carfish. The cotton draped over the crustacean, covering him for the most part, and causing the wingull to chuckle as he landed heavily on the elevator, flapping his wings for balance.

"<May I ask what is going on?>
Both Bugurl and Carfish squirmed as they heard the familiar quacky voice.
Uh oh, Bucks. What was he doing here!? <Busted..> Bugurl whispered, Carfish shook his head.
As they got rid off the first wingull, the second wingull fell in the rope elevator, making it shake. <Waahh! What is up with you dumb birds shaking this thing? What if we fall or something!? Can't you see this is a bad time?>
Bucks felt his cheeks bloating as he stared up at them from the bottom. This was not to be taken lightly, he placed his orange arms on his hips.

Crath clicked up behind him, munching on a piece of cave fungus. <What's going on? I thought we were sleeping in after the chaos of last--WINGULL!> the pokemon exclaimed scuttling back.
The wingull cocked his head at the party in the cave. Other people to have fun with? the clownish pokemon wondered. <You're all puffed up, aren't you?> he croaked at Bucks, laughing hysterically. <Like a pin cushion. Anyone ever tried to pop you?>
"Get out of here, you, you, you bird!" Tessa exclaimed, rescuing her hat from Carfish's obliging act as a hat rack. "Thanks, Mr. Corphish. Go on, shoo, bird, shoo!"
<Thye aren't going to be sleeping in for long, are they?> Crath commented morosely, staying in Buck's shadow. <And Carra really needs to be rested if she's going directly down the elevators to the Beach Houses. Heck, I want to be rested. It's always easier to face something that scary when you're properly awake.>

Bucks nodded at the paras who had also got up up from all the noise these two pokemon were making on top of the role elevators. <Yup. Better get them done before the two humans get up,> the psyduck muttered as he provided shade to the scared grass-type, it was only normal since wingull often feed on them. The orange duck wondered how Bugurl and Carfish got up there in the first place.
Bucks shot daggers at the water bird at his balloon comment, <do not make me use my abilities on you. And what are you two doing up there!? Get rid of it!> the psyduck said pointing at the bird.
Bugurl and Carfish exchanged looks and nodded vigorously. Bugurl gave another tail whip while the corhpish gave his clenched his foe with a mighty vice grip attack.

The flat thwap of the wooper's tail made the clowning pokemon's head ring. He stared down at her, thingy-eyed. <What'd-->
Agony gripped his legs, transferred by the powerful grip of pinchers from Carfish. He screeched, dropping his hurt confusion for a few yelling breaths. Tessa covered her ears. The din echoed within the cavern. The side of Carra's tent bulged, as she rolled over onto Morath, who awoke with a yell. The bulge swiftly disappeared, although the sounds of an enraged bagon continued for a few seconds.
Crath winced. <That might have been a bad idea,> he muttered. <Perhaps we should have tried talking?>
<Talking with what!> Morath forced her way from the tent, bad temperedly. <The first day that little blue fish doesn't wake be up by slapping my face, my fat, ugly trainer lands on me instead. Who is responsible!?>
The wingull squawked once more, and managed to kick the little corphish from his delicate leg, before turning his head to look into the cave. A huge stream of water blasted from his beak, shooting over Buck's head and right into the yelling bagon's stomach. He would have gone for the corphish again, because that had hurt but the bagon sounded nasty and crotchety.

Carfish winced as he was kicked by the dumb water bird.
<Stop shouting human lady!> Bugurl yelled at the ranger who lost her shoe and kept yelling for no reason. Did she want her hat taken away again? Both Carfish and Bucks repeated their attacks.
Bucks snickered as he heard the dragon being rudely awoken, <great, just what we needed,> the psyduck muttered not turning to face the female bagon and cheering on for the two stuck up in the elevator. <C'mon guys, get rid of it!>

The Vicegrip pinched hard into the sensitive wings, this time, causing the wingull to screech once again. Pain rocketed around his skull, until it grew to be too much, and his eyes rolled up in his head. Tessa grabbed the second wingull, and pried Carfish's pinchers off it, feeling distressed, frustrated, and generally distraught. "I am not a wingull depository!" She yelled, her voice cracking into a higher octave. "I'm lowering the elevator to the cave mouth level, Get them off of there, please!" she exclaimed, very upset. <She doesn't sound happy,> Crath said. clicking nervous pinchers, and looking about. <Any more bir--SPEAROW!> As Tessa began to lower the elevator, a spearow spiraled down to land on it, flapping her stubby wings. For a pokemon like spearow, the small, three by four foot swings of most of the elevators made excellent steps between well protected nests high in the cliff, and the feeding grounds on the cliff's bottom. They just had to fall, one elevator to the next, or propell themselfs up a few feet, rest, and propell themselves up a few more feet. The only danger came in the shape of Skarmory who sometimes braved the rust inducing salt water to snatch a spearow or wingull, or zubat for supper. <'Scuse me,> she said, rocking the downward moving elevator as she landed between Carfish and Bugurl, <I need to get in your angle so I can line up my next landing zone. Could the squishy one move?> ~ ~ ~ ((And I forgot stats for your last battle! So both wingull battles are now tallied)) Carfish and Bugurl defeated a level 7 wingull Carfish gained 1/4 of a level Carfish is now level 11 3/4 Bugurl gained 1/4 of a level Bugurl is now level 11 1/4 Carfish and Bugurl defeated a level 10 wingull Carfish gains 1/2 a level Carfish is now level 12 1/4 Bugurl gains 1/2 a level Bugurl is now level 11 3/4 End of song and dance))

Carfish and Bugurl blinked at their new guest.
Squishy one? Did she refer to Bugurl? The wooper pointed to herself by her tail to make sure. <Me? Um, sure, I guess. We were just heading down, you know!> she explained cheerfully. Carfish nodded.
Bucks slapped his forehead, <who is it now!?>

Carra came out of her tent, still in her large blue night shirt, but with bike shorts pulled on underneath it, and her stripy socks and shoes riding up her knees. She blinked. "What's up?"
<Bucks, can you translate "Aamir's pokemon are being idiots" into human?> Morath commented sarcastically. <Not that it isn't obvious, but my trainer's weak eyes might not be able to see the distance.>
<Her weak eyes?> Crath questioned, finding the bagon's commented mean spirited. <You need to smell things before you can distinguish me from a boulder.>
"Finally! Are you responsible for these two?! They could fall off and then go splat!" Tessa exclaimed. She had not been having a very good morning.
"Carfish? What are you a you and Bugurl doing there?" Carra asked, amazed.
<Clearly just catching the sights,> Morath commented dryly.
On the elevator the spearow looked gratefully at the wooper before moving to the edge of the platform. <Is that pickle face always so sour?> she inquired, before eyeing the distance again. As long as the human bracing against the rock face as she fiddled with ropes didn't suddenly fall, she would be fine.
<All right then, I'm off,> she flapped her stubby wings energetically and then launched herself into the air, beginning to pinwheel down to the next step.
As she started away from the elevator that Bugurl had chosen, she was nearly clipped by a racing taillow, who turned on his side at the last minute, his long wings gracefully cutting through the air like knives. His quick roll through him off course, and right into the mouth of the cave, where he quickly corrected, but not before nearly crashing into the wall. Carra watched in amazement as he quickly flipped to his other wing in a sharp turn before leveling out, and chattering in an angry way: <Stupid, moronic, idiotic, pea-brained, clod! Watch it!>
His flight and corrections had cost him too much air. As he tried to zoom out of the cave again, he collided with the wood board of the elevator, and was knocked back into the cave to land in a sorry heap.
