Aamir, Carra, and the company were just getting in the rope elevators. It was evening time now, and the sun was burning furiously at the people and pokemon beneath it. Aamir tightly held Blanket to his chest, making sure the elevator's shakyness didn't wake up the baby pokemon. It didn't.
Bugurl slapped Morath with her tail, <tag! You're it! Bet you can't catch me!> and decided to run around and bounce on the elevator, making it shake vigorously.
<Settle down, Bugurl!> Bucks waved his hands at her with an annoyed expression, but she didn't really bother listening to the orande duck - she never did and carried around with the running. Aamir sighed at the sight.
Carfish clung to Carra's neck as the elevator shook. He wanted Aamir to give all his attention to the baby of the team right now, and with him clinging to Aamir it would make things uncomfortable for the newborn. The ruffian pokemon hoped Carra didn't mind him hanging to her for a while. Atleast he got to be with his cousin!

Carra was trying not to look down as the rangers worked the ropes. Carfish's legs were sharp on her skin and hurt, but they were nothing to Crath's which had sunk their spiny points through the material of both her sweatshirt and t-shirt to dig into the soft skin of her bosom. She could feel stiff hairs on those supposedly smooth legs. If she looked down she would see the bug holding onto her for dear life, and that might cause her to involuntarily throw him off.
It certainly wasn't doing anything for her fear. She was the heaviest one there, and the ropes creaked ominously. She could be glad when they were guided into the cave. For now, the party was being lowered on three different ropes for the purposes of weight distribution. Fearless Rangers ran along the cliff faces, practically swinging from rope to rope, as they swung up and down.
One overly happy girl had told her in passing they were there to see to it that people didn't annoy the local pokemon, or disturb them. Apparently the scarmory here were endangered.
Oh, good, Carra had thought weakly, getting into the wooden seat, and putting on all the safety buckles and straps. The huge, razor winged birds with short tempers are protected. I feel so much better now! She was beginning to think that in a previous life she had been a paras. She and Crath certainly shared similar, equally sensible concerns that clearly the rest of the world needed to get to know.
The loop of rope around her waist jiggled, and she gripped the tan fiber spiraling upward with a renewed sense of terror. The world had run mad to force her into this contraption.
A little above the rope and seat with the three other pokemon swayed. Morath ignored Bucks' remonstrations, feeling only the brightest kind of soaring sensation in her stomach. She was a brilliant eagle, on top of the world! The board swaying under the three of them was almost not there. It was as though they were flying. The only thing wrong with it was that eventually it would touch bottom. She would have to try this again! she decided, eagerly, as she closed her eyes and felt the wet wind on her face.
From below Carra a ranger shouted something. She turned her head automatically, and wished that she hadn't. Quickly shutting her eyes, she wondered if someone would listen to last minute prayers made on the brink of death. A repetition of the shout, however, told her that it was actually the safe landing of Aamir that the rangers were celebrating. He had gone down first at Carra's insistence. She knew he probably thought that it was due to her respect for his wealth (she didn't have any), but the reality was that Blanket was a little machine for vomit. Bucks had guessed it was because his food wasn't broken down enough for his new stomach, but Carra couldn't help noticing that that didn't stop the baby from trying to stuff himself with anything that looked the least bit small enough to fit into his mouth. Either way, this "ride" was bad enough without kecleon vomit landing on her head from higher up, thus Aamir had the dubious privilege of going down first.
"Hey, we're coming up on it," another ranger said by her ear. He was rappelling down before she could so much yelp. However, his warning was useful, because a pair of hands grabbed her no-nonsense boots, and guided her hefty body to the lip of a cave. Carra was still unstrapping herself when the pokemon and packs came down. The ranger quickly lifted Carra's unattended pack and shoved it at Aamir.
"Tomorrow, you're taking this down. The bagon's heavy enough for a third pack, and I don't want to watch you risk the lives of your wooper and psyduck just so you and junior can have a heart to heart," Kent told Aamir brusquely. "You got it?"
"Actually, that's my pack," Carra volunteered, raising a nervous hand. Kent was tall, with amazing eyes.
"Oh. Well, he needs to carry something next time. Your rope was at the weight limit. I'm just glad the boards didn't break, especially as the pokemon weren't strapped in. Anyway, this cave goes pretty far back, and we don't think that there are any scarmory here. Just keep near to the opening, and we'll collect you in the morning for the last couple of legs down."
"What?" Carra wanted to know, surprised. Wen're they supposed to be in the Beach Houses tonight. With this thing called supper? Neither she nor Aamir were good cooks, and they had been living for five days on one another's food, when Bucks was too tired.
"It's sunset. We don't take people down in the dark," Kent shrugged. "Not at least with this kind of weight, and the numbers of all of you. It's too dangerous. Mistakes get made. We're all off duty for now. The night crew might be up to check on you, but we'll get you down in the morning. Don't worry, it's only another half hour, probably, until you're at the beach. And that's if you choose to stop at the caves between here and the bottom. There are four more in striking distance. Then down the road to the houses. It's very easy."

[Oh, sorry. I posted them all in one elevator. I was kind of thinking like those really big rope elevators that take up like 7-people parties in medievil RPGs. This is why MF should make the threads everytime we get to a new place. I'm totally going to pretend I didn't make the earlier post. Oh, and I was thinking and can't we like, 'set' certain pokemon during the time warp? Maybe the trainers want to focus on x amount of pokemon during the days passed? Because I was thinking about how I'd have to warp all my other pokemon too. And uh, later on there are probably going to be trainer battles and I don't want my already leveled pokemon to go over the limit and not be able to participate in the gym battle at all. So maybe set Blanket for the next x days? What do you think? You could also maybe set the exact duration to train a certain pokemon, ie, Aamir's warping for five days. He'd train Carfish for the five days, but only train Bugurl for three. But I'd write that out before warping, or something.] Aamir smirked as he saw Carra making her way down the elevator, he hoped the ropes didn't give away because of the girl's weight and they all end up carshing. Aamir wouldn't want Carfish to be hurt. As Carra came down With Crath, Carfish, Bucks, Bugurl, and Morath. The earlier two mentioned looking like they were scared out of their mind. It was like they saw a ghostly or something, the teen wondered what it would be like. Blanket was now semi-awake, and was rubbing his eyes and yawning and looking up at his trainer. Carfish waved happily at Aamir. Burgurl ran and glomped Aamir, and then ran away laughing. The dark-haired young man shook his head, sighing. Bucks glared at Morath, happy that the ride was done and over with. Why did they have to come at the end? It was bad enough he had to ride with his least favorite bagon in this world. Aamir was shoved a bag at, the teen managed to make sure Blanket wasn't hurt. The Kacleon ran up to Aamir's shoulders and stuck his tongue out at ranger Kent, now fully awake. Aamir raised his eyebrow at the, oh-so amazing, ranger Kent. Loser. If only he had a cellphone, he would call his parents and get him fired from his job and whatever. What, they had to stay here!? Aamir looked at Carra with his eyebrow still raised, "what now?"

((Kent: Hey! I happen to risk my life every day, and I look good doing it! MF: Sure you do, my little NCP.))
"Anyway," the ranger went on, now he was certain that he had full attention, "there is a pool over there for you water -- please keep it clean -- and I've got some fire wood for you if you want a small fire for later at night. The cave is big enough to support that, just nothing too dramatic, please. The ventilation in here might not be as good as we think."
"So we're just supposed to set up camp?" Carra asked unhappily.
"Yep," Kent told them, placing the firewood on the sandy stone of the cave. Reaching a hand out he caught the rope that was clipped to his belt, and jumped backward out of the cave mouth. Carra gasped as he left from sight. "Those people are so brave."
Morath snorted. Hardly brave. Maybe just properly adventuresome. She waddled away, peering into the dark shadows at the back of the cave.
Crath, having decided that there was no more danger was now gingerly extracting his feet from the cloth of Carra's sweatshirt. The human didn't move too much until he was able to scuttle up her shoulder. Then, reaching around, Carra was able to get her pack and the tightly folded dome tent, plus pegs off her back.
"Well, you heard the guy, Bucks, I guess we'd best set up. After that we can explore," Carra suggested.
((Next one of my posts will have wild pokemon it in, so be ready XP)).

Aamir snorted with Morath at the 'those people are so brave' comment. Seriously, what was up with girls getting impressed so easily with buff guys? Like appearing and disappearing out of dark places was like, so cool and stuff. Blanket was glad ranger Kent was gone too and decided to crawl around where the group was standing.
<Keee!>
Carfish too decided let go off Carra's neck, the ruffian pokemon pinched Carra's finger gently to tell her she's nice, and to thank her, and immediately started following Blanket wherever he went to make sure he didn't wander off somewhere in the dark.
Bucks nodded at Carra, <let's get to working then!> And the orange duck and the blue frog helped Carra set out her tent. Together they all worked to set up their place to stay. Aamir decided he'd rather clean the dirt off his nails, though.
<Yay! I love tents! They're soo.. Comfy and fun to sleep in,> the wooper giggled, dancing infront of the completely set up tent.

((I <3 THE NUMBER GEN! 93 for teh win!))
Morath was the one who smelled them first. She was watching Blanket, trying to see if the kecleon would start displaying draconic wisdom. So far, he was acting more like a human baby. But pokemon grew fast in the first five levels. She might be in luck, and he was secretly a fellow dragon in disguise. Then the familiar scent of old mold hit her nose, making her want to sneeze.
<Crath! Stop lurking around you useless worm,> she snapped, turning toward the darkness of the caves.
Over by the cave mouth, Carra giggled and low fived Bugurl's tail as she hopped up and down on the peg she was fixing to a crack in the sandy rock. The tents weren't very secure on this ground, but she doubted a wind was going to move them once they got their supplies into them.
"Alright, let's start on Aamir's," she commented, seeing that hers was done, and she couldn't see where Crath was. Until she knew that, she wasn't going to dare to light the fire.
Cranth, in the meanwhile was over by a drippy fungus growing from a rock near the pool. It looked really tasty and he was harvesting it happily, when Morath's snarl made him turn: <I'm right here!> he yelled, not pleased by his "teamate"'s insults.
<If you are then--,> the turquoise beast began, but a slower voice interrupted her.
<You know.... I don't like your attitude,> a large paras lurched forward, into the dim light. The spots on her mushrooms brilliantly pale in comparison to the rest of her orange body. <Those names weren't nice.>
In the surprise of the large paras' arrival, it was unlikely that anyone would notice the small gray blot that came out of the pool, and eelled over to the explorative kecleon. Blanket was unlike anything it had ever seen, after all, so the anorith decided to poke at Blanket with on claw, jsut to see if there would be a reaction.

[Is that the pokemon you were hoping for, MF? O: I thought you meant skarmory.]
Blanket was poked by the wild anorith, the kacleon fell on its behind and rocked back and forth silently for a couple of minutes. Silence. And then the green pokemon suddenly disappeared in thin air.
Carfish had been supervising and following the baby all alone, and once he had witnessed this (one of his legs got stuck in a fallen stem) he came running to where Blanket was. Oh no! The baby! It was gone! Oh, no! Aamir! What was he going to do!?
The mute pokemon pointed its pincers at the old shrimp pokemon threatningly. What exactly did this weird pokemon do to poor Blanket? Standing in a defensive stance, he glowered at the waterphobic pokemon.
Before the lobster could do anything however, Blanket suddenly appeared riding on top of the anorith's back, kicking and squealing happily. The kacleon had just become invisible momentarily.
Carfish blinked at this.
Bucks noticed the bagon yelling for Crath and went to check if everything was okay with them.
Aamir smiled at Cara and Bugurl viciously, "tell me when you're done setting up my tent, I still have some more dirt to dig out of my nails."

((Well, I have a huge amount of <3 for scarmory, and I do think that Cara needs a steel type to help balance Morath's weakness-- Morath: I have no weakness! To rock types. On the other hand, anorith fits with the kinds of pokemon that Carra has. Small, bug-like, and with long claws XD Morath: I am none of those things... although I would like some long claws))
Carra stilled her movements as Aamir mentioned his nails. She was helping with his tent, because it would make everything go more quickly. However, this tended to be the thing he did every day. Sit off in some corner while she and the pokemon set up. At least on those days, he didn't make stupid comments.
"You know what, Aamir, I just realized what's crazy about this position," She straightened up. "You're supposed to be learning humility and how to act like a decent human being. Part of that is doing things like setting up your own tent. Now, you can be a nasty little parasite, and just order your psyduck to do it for you, or you could take this to heart. But I'm not going to help you act like a supercilious brat."
She walked over to her pack, looking for the collapsible bucket that would get them enough water to cook up canned soup. She thought there was still some split pea soup in her bag. Though she would have to get some more once she reached -- what was the next town? The Beach Houses?
She stomped over towards the pool, out of temper, until she heard Morath snarl.
The paras was huge, but that didn't intimidate the dragon. She was still bigger, and she was better. Snaking her head forward her huge jaws snapped shut over his orange claws. The paras hissed, and brought down his large claw over Morath's face, scratching deeply. She snarled, letting go of the indented claw. Her face burned distractingly as she circled the large paras. The slow bug type had to crow hop to keep the heavy little dinosaur in his sight.
Across the floor of the cave, when the kecleon had gone invisible, the anorith had not seemed all that surprised. It scuttled forward once more, to poke the new thing that had come into his domain. Maybe it was another anorith? Oh, that would be nice. Poke. Poke. <Hello?>
Then he felt the kecleon climb onto his back. <Hey!> the anorith exclaimed, lifting his claws to do a little dance. He couldn't reach the thing on his back to poke at it. What was it? And what was going on?

[Waah~ Aamir's team is so disbalanced. Two water(/ground) and a normal type. ): I need a gud pokemanz soon.]
Aamir pouted as he watched Carra yell at him and stomp off, "but, but.. I don't know anything about setting up tents."
Carra had been snapping at him a lot lately. She stopped acting like a pushover after the first few days he got to know her. How boring. He couldn't really manipulate her to do his work anymore either. Girls, so unpredictable.
Aamir sighed as he stood infront of the tent-setting materials, wondering if he should yell at Bucks to fix up this mess with psychic powers. Bugurl, his very hyper wooper, excited bounced up in midair and twirled a couple of times before standing infront of him. <Aw, don't be sad! I'll help you! We'll set up the tent together!>
"How? You don't even have freaking hands.."
Aamir wondered what it was like to be Carra. To be overweight, with ugly hair and clothes, and to just not care about what anyone thought of her appearance, or anything, and to be able to decide what was right and be so independant to act on it. No pressure from anywhere. She was quite headstrong, that was a quality that Aamir hated to admit he liked about her. A little girly, but headstrong.
<I can guide you, and you can work it, silly!>
Aamir groaned, "ugh, fine. What do I do?"
<Well, you see that thingy over there? You first um, take it to that place and then you tightly...
<Ride! Riiiiiiiide!> The baby kacleon ordered excitedly on top of the fossil pokemon, kicking and laughing.
Carfish frowned. This new blue and winged cousin wasn't going to fool Carfish with his confused and innocent expression, oh no, he probably wanted to steal Blanket away! And Blanket, too, was probably brainwashed by his psychic powers already with the way he was acting! The crustacean crawled over to the Anorith and snatched away Blanket with his pincers.
Blanket started wailing and kicking, in an attempt to be freed, <I want riiiiiiide!!>
Carfish blinked, what now?
Bucks cheered for the wild paras as it scratched Morath's face from the sidelines, <Yes, go, go, go! Whatever-your-name-is! I know you can do it, beat this dumb dragon pretty badly!> The psyduck yelled whipping out two white Japanese fans out of the air and waving them while dancing.
While waving the fans and dancing, the orange duck noticed Carra nearby and he noticed how upset she looked. The duck waddled over to her, fans in his hands, <anything the matter, Carra?>

"Just Aamir being, you know, snarky," Carra commented. She peered over at Morath, it was hard to see in the failing light of the sunset, although it lit the inside of the cave brilliantly. "What's going on over there?"
An angry growl of "Bag BAGON!" told her something was amiss, and she strode closer, only to see Morath engaged in tormenting the local wild-life. Again.
"Morath!" Carra exclaimed, causing the bagon to look up. Then she saw the rather large paras -- larger than Crath, at least, which sidled closer to the dragon. Morath had a nasty red line on her skin, running just under her bone helmet and across her nose. Carra gulped, maybe Morath wasn't entirely at fault, this time. She was very likely in danger.
"Morath, Leer! Crath, help her out!"
Crath, who was munching on his fungus, grumbled slightly.
<Here comes the insignificant worm to the rescue,> he commented glumly, sidling over to Morath's aid.
Morath's leer didn't seem to intimidate the paras all that much. In fact, it enraged him so much that his next Scratch nearly took out her left eye. Only a quick hop backwards saved her black peeper, and the searing pain of a deep gouge in her cheek prevented her from savoring that save.
Crath trundled past the three crawling pokemon on his way to Morath's aid, only giving them the briefest of glances. The anorith felt relief as the assailant was removed from his back. He reached out, trying to poke his savior in thanks. His long front claw encountered Carfish's hard shell. <Was that you? Thanks.> Poke. Poke.
Beyond the poking anorith, Crath, surprised the fellow paras from behind, scuttling up to deliver a scratch attack across the hard carapace of the bug's back, right between the mushrooms. Morath's opponent clicked his large pincers angrily, rounding on the paras.
Morath, not pleased to have her victory taken from her (although the pain from the scratches was making her dizzy), growled at Crath. <Did I ask for your help?!>
<No, Carra did,> Crath replied haughtily. <And I gave it!>

Bucks twiddled with his hands nervously as he followed Carra and watched the battle amongst Morath and the gigantic paras. Okay so, Bucks didn't actually believe the wild paras would come out to be such a big threat. He had been teasing the bogan thinking he was going to come out victorious and taunt Bucks, and they could start arguing again. But this was definately not the case here.
-- Oh no! Carra had sent in Crath, he wouldn't be able to do much. Poor guy wouldn't even stand a chance. This was definately not good. If this kept up both of them would be fainted and there was no nearby pokemon center. Bucks turned to Carra, <if you think the situation is critical, give some potion to Morath so he can still stand on his own in this battle -- I'll go get some help. Don't worry!>
Bucks waddled all over the camp site. He passed Bugurl and Aamir both working hard on setting up their tent, not really paying attention to their surroundings. Bucks shrugged, Bugurl wouldn't be able to do much in that battle anyway. The duck ran and ran until he saw Carfish and a crying Blanket.
Carfish blinked and waved at the poking anorith. Not sure how to tell him he couldn't talk. Blanket kept on crying for a ride.
<There you are!> Bucks said running over to the trio group. Bucks gasped as he saw the baby Kacleon crying and took him in his arms, and started swinging him gently. Blanket fell asleep almost immediately. Bucks saw Carfish smiling and waving at him, probably thanking him for taking care of Blanket for now. Bucks sighed, Carfish would be no good against the giant paras either.
The psyduck then saw the wild pokemon, and gasped. An anorith!?
'Anorith is said to be a type of Pokémon predecessor, with eight wings at the sides of its body. This Pokémon swam in the primordial sea by undulating these eight wings.'
Bucks recited the pokemon's description in his head. He was a rock/bug type, pretty rare. That was it! He could help them!
<Um, hello. My name is Bucks and my friends is in trouble -- a giant paras just attacked him and we're having a hard time defeating it, can you please rush over there and help them? Please, please?> Bucks pleaded with his big ducky eyes.
Carfish's eyes widened as he heard of the event. The crustacean wondered if Aamir even knew what was going on.

Oh! A new person! the anorith thought. He waved out a long claw, and poked Bucks in the stomach. Poke. Poke. <Wow. Fur. Feather fur,> the anorith commented. <You're not from around here. So many people. Which direction are the other people at?>
Carra's voice was loud in the cave. "Morath, Bite! Crath, uh, wait for it."
Morath closed in again, Biting the pincher that was aiming to scratch her face for a second time. The paras hissed his other claw flailing. It caught Crath a wallop over his eyes. The little bug scuttled back, the pearly eye watering, and he could feel a bruise forming under his exoskelleton. That had hurt!
"Morath, let go, Crath, PoisonPowder," Carra instructed, feeling pretty confident. Morath was much faster than Crath, and even though this was their first time battling together in a team she felt that after nearly a week with both pokemon her nerves about instructing them, or even using them were gone. Perhaps this was what her brother meant when he said that pokemon training was easy once you knew what your pokemon were like.
Morath jumped back. She hated poison. It was nasty, and she'd seen what happened to wingull once Crath had it in his arsenal. Crath shook his mushrooms nervously, a little scared of the higher leveled paras, but the purple spores released settled over the pokemon in a light coating, showing up oddly against the other dusts that the paras was wearing already from his own spores.

Bucks jumped up excitedly, not really sure how to taking this pokemon's poking. Carfish wanted to poke him back though, so he did. Twice.
The psyduck started running to where the others were, a sleeping Blanket in his arms, signaling Carfish and the anorith to follow. Carfish pinched the anorith's wings to tell him he was nice and dragged the rare pokemon to the battle with his pincers.
<There, Mister Anorith! Save'm!> Bucks cried as they reached the group.

<Ow!> the anorith protested to Carfish's treatment. <I need those to swim!> still he scuttled along under the ruffian pokemon's guidance like a blind person with his seeing-eye crayfish. The crustacean had felt blunt when he had poked the anorith back, but now the heavy claws felt sharp.
<What's this, a gang of you people?> the paras growled. His body was hurting even as he breathed. <I'm just trying to teach the bagon a lesson she so richly deserves.>
<Hah! You mealy mouthed old bug!> Morath snorted. She watched carefully for the moment the spores sank into the carapace, and was genuinely relieved to see it happen. Sometimes poisoning didn't take effect. She lunged at the paras in rage, not listening to Carra's plea for a Bite attack. No one was going to teach her any lesson!
"Scratch from behind," Carra begged Crath, seeing that Morath was unlikely to obey.
<Oh! Scratch? I know Scratch,> the anorith said, trundling closer. He heard the scrape of exoskelleton on exoskelleton. He lunged for the sound, bringing out one claw, and digging into the paras as well. Unfortunately, his claws were not so well aimed as Crath's and they slid directly into a soft mushroom, releasing a cloud of soft yellow powders. He stuck there, unable to get his muscles to obey him.
"What happened there?!" Carra exclaimed, as the paras screamed in agony. He scuttled away, tugging himself free from the anorith, only to run into Crath's scratch. <That's for my eye!> the little paras said proudly.
The fellow bug type flailed for a moment, and then curled in on itself from pain. It rolled over on its side, fainted.

[ "<That's for my eye!> the little paras said proudly." -- best line, ever. Oh, can you generate some pokemanz? I want to catch this one pokemon that's only available here. ;--; ]
Carfish danced happily as the big and evil cousin was defeated. The corphish ran to Crath and gave him another crustacean hug, after pinching him gently of course.
Bucks went to congratulate the wild anorith, Blanket still sound asleep in his arms. <Thanks a lot! We couldn't have done it without you! -- Um, hello? are you listening to me?> Bucks squinted his eyes to see why their new eight-winged friend wasn't moving, and then he realized he was probably affected by the spore. <Um, Carra! I think our friend is paralyzed..>
Aamir let out a booming, psychotic laugh from behind -- his eyes all widened up. "Yes, yes.. I did it! I finally did it! I set up my tent! Nothing could stop me! Bwahahaha!~"
<... You're scaring me now, Aamir!> Bugurl squirmed away from his trainer and muttered as the wooper carried their belongings inside the tent with her tail.

((I was agoin' to. I still hope to meet a skarmory. Got the best entrance planned in my head. ^^ -- EDIT: Aww, shoot, just remembered that you can only meet the skarms going up and down without the cave stops. >.<))
<We're so glad that your master has discovered that he has the competence of baby lambkins,> Morath told Bucks scathingly, <but if he doesn't stop that racket-->
A shrill scream cut her off. From the darkness of the back of the cave something tumbled through the air, heading straight for Aamir in a crazy flight path. It swooped and flitted through the cavern, angry at being woken -- the sun had not fully set, and the good mosquitoes were no where near in sight. And the noise of the laughter was messing us its hearing, and hence its sense of space.
The zubat dove down, and began to bat at Aamir's head with its wings.
While this chaos erupted overhead, the anorith managed to get enough of his mouth to move to ask: <I know you all sound very busy, but could someone help me before I fall over?!>

[Waah~ Think of something, MF! -pressures you to bring in a skarmory-]
Aamir screamed waving his hands at the zubat. He hated -- no despised, bats. They were so scary and ugly, and had this move called leech life that sucked up life of things. Aamir knew that because when he was little his nanny use to tuck him to sleep, and if he didn't want to sleep she'd tell him one of the bat pokemons was coming to suck the life out of him.
Bugurl bounced up and down in her tail as she saw the zubat and started shooting various water gun at it. <Go away, mister batty!>
Bucks pulled on Cara's leg, <Carra, the anorith!> The psyduck pointed at the still paralyzed pokemon that was crying for help.

"What?" Carra asked, started out of the trance of seeing Aamir basically run around screaming like a little girl. Okay, so it was a zubat in his hair. Zubat weren't that bad. The lead guitarist of My Chemical Roserade had a crobat he'd trained up from a zubat. "I don't have any paralyze heals. I mean, the Professor didn't seem to think that I'd need them."
Morath prodded the anorith.
<What's that!> he exclaimed shrilly, not able to see the bagon, although the vibration through the ground was enough to guess that something heavy was near by.
<It's just Morath,> Crath tried to reasure the trapped bug. They looked very similar, and he was beginning to wonder if it was possible that this was the missing link between paras and corphish.
<What's a Morath?>
Carra couldn't stand hearing the pitifully squeaked "anor rith rith!"s that the ancient shrimp was making. "I want to help, I really do, I just don't know what--," she knelt down to see the pokemon. "I mean, we've got to get you to a pokemon center."
<Then capture -- right, the fool can't understand me,> Morath growled. <Bucks, stop loafing around like a loaf of bread and bring back a pokeball, will you? She's only got to unused ones.>
~ ~ ~
The zubat, disoriented by the screaming was suddenly drenched by a gush of water. It propelled him back and upwards into the ceiling, where he lay lay plastered there, rather dazed. It wasn't his fault -- except for losing his temper with the loud human.
However, once the water abated, and the pain in his delicate limbs turned to bruises, he flew at Bugurl, intent of draining energy from her in a leech life. That would show her who was boss.

Bucks nodded and rushed inside his tent, running past Aamir to get their belongings. "Bucks, look! I set up our tent!" Aamir cried out still running in circles, but still wanted to show off his tent making skills. The psyduck strapped on his pack and gave Aamir a thumbs up before running off to Carra and company again.
"Dumb psyduck.. Waaah! Bugurl, do something! Mud shot!"
The wooped sighed, jumped up in the air summersaulting and released some mud at the wild zubat.
Bucks handed the pokeball to Cara, panting. <Catch him.. Before.. A wild pokemon attachs it.. Now!>
Carfish poked the anorith.

The flying type flitted under the huge ball of mud, which shot past his wing tip, creating a breeze that caused the light bat to spiral sideways. But he didn't seem to be that concerned with spiraling. A zubat's average flight path was crazy enough as it was.
He opened his mouth to scream a Supersonic. Unfortunately, the next swoop of his wings turned it at Aamir, rather than Bugurl, and brought him much closer to the ground. He zipped to one side, wondering if human knees were normally effected by supersonic vibrations. Zubat generally weren't very good with legs, not really having any of their own.
At the back of the cavern, Carra nodded, and touched the pokeball to the anorith's shelled body. It sucked the ancient shrimp in a beam of red light, and began to tremble in her hands. However, the vigorous movements stilled, and she looked at the pokeball in wonder.
"Do you think I should put this in my status checker-thing?" she asked Bucks. "I mean, I only am going to have him until I get him healed at a pokemon center. On the other hand, well, I'd like to be able to say to my brother I caught more than a single pokemon within a week. He's told me that most trainers catch at least one per day when they're starting out."
And she kinda, maybe, sort of, wanted to brag a bit. What Bucks had said about the anorith she had heard vaguely across the cavern, and, well, anorith sounded rare. It would be pretty cool to have said that she trained two rare pokemon, even if she had let one go after twenty four hours, and the other one had been given to her as a starter because the Professor loathed and wanted to be rid of it.
<So,> Crath asked Morath nonchalantly, <exactly when do you think that she's going to notice that Missing Link there had no eyes?>
Morath looked at Crath. <What do you mean? It has two huge red ones right on its head.>
<Nope,> Crath replied. <That was pure exoskeleton. I think anorith--is that what Bucks called 'em--are like, early paras. You know, paras before there were humans. And that thing had no little buggy peepers.>
<You're being an idiot,> Morath snorted derisively.
<Well, I'm only the one who nearly lost one in the battle -- I'm thinking I might like to take notice of eyes more often,> Crath said loftily.
Stats for anorith:
Anorith Name: ? ? ? Gender: Male Level: 13 Moves: Scratch, Harden, Mud Sport, Water Gun Ability: Blind Eye - Accuracy permanently 10% lower for all moves, even those that never hit. Cannot learn Captivate. Is not affected by moves requiring visual contact such as Flash, Leer, or Glare. Personality: Intensely curious. Because he has no eyes, he taps his way through life using his foreclaws. If he runs into something he doesn't know, he will try to poke it, even it it might not be good for him. As with most bugs he is highly sensitive to vibrations through the ground, and can usually tell where things are, and their size through this method. Of course, he is rather helpless against flying opponents.
