On the Road
This area is a big non-trainer tourist spot. It marks the beginning of the road that runs half-way around the island that can be used by cars and ATVs. However, most prefer to make bikes tours along this stretch, as an increase in lost pets has become a problem along this route, and drivers are warned to drive slowly and carefully.
This is a long flat stretch of land coming off the cliffs, where staggeringly beautiful trees stand watch over the land below. The paved road is close to the cliff-side, allowing for the long stretches of fine gray sand that mark Miteinjan's beaches. Along many points in the road small jetties push into the water, and families boat about in the bay. Some are locals, but most are tourists from Tejan and Jenta. The native Miteinjan population live at the eastern end of the beach, near Ke-Hipa on some old house boats.
Traveling past the sand and imported rocks that anchor the jetties firmly in place might get you accosted by young tourists with nothing better to do with their lives than battle you. We urge all trainers to name the terms of their battle up front, so they don't loose any pyen they aren't expecting to.
If you choose to avoid the people entirely, because you are catching the misanthropic spirit of the natives, or because you find rich tourists genuinely annoying, you can stick to the road. But the feral pokemon that roam this stretch and battle for supremacy among the native pokemon might become a hazard. There are packs of poochyena that can be found the closer you get to Ke-Hipa.

The House Boats
Red Rocker
An old house boat that was once painted red, it has now faded to pink, and is flaking off in patches. The owner, Ron King, can usually be seen fixing the roof. He's lived here since he graduated from high school, and has a business as a fixit man. He might repair things that you bring him for a fee. He also has a PC if you need to use it.
The Birdcoop
A neat and tidy house, if a little shabby, this little sloop belongs to the nice couple Ed and Ethel Mills. They keep two growlithe and a chatot named Murry. Both are retired teachers from Ke-Hipa, and spend their time trying to keep the lake clean. It's surprising what the tourists will throw away when they leave for the winter. They'll sell some of what they find if you're interested. Most of what is for sale is in an old wooden crate on the deck.
