(( Can’t use them in battle, but it doesn’t mean they aren’t there. Right? Also.. if you know what movie/song inspired the subject, lemme know. Its a cartoon, just to hint. Or CGI or whatever. And yeah, I realize this is a route, not a forest. =p))
The calming sounds of the rippling creek intensify the beauty of such a bright warm day, as the sunlight beams through the trees alongside Route One. Traveling said path is a young boy with brown hair and shimmering golden eyes, being trailed by a small variety of pokemon. Of course, on such a nice day, it is not out of the ordinary for a trainer to release his pokemon and allow them a nice quiet
The first on his heels is Susannah, his slightly egotistical cyndaquil. Ever since their departure from Prof. Cherry’s laboratory, the little fireball has been bustling with energy, running circles around Dusty. Occasionally she would drop lines such as ,<I’m fast, real fast! Wanna see how fast I am!? Watch me go real fast, faster than anyone you’ve ever seen in your life!>
Strolling at a casual pace behind them is Rowan, the kind and caring bulbasaur. Out of all of Dusty’s pokemon, he seems to be the only one with a head on his shoulders. As the shiny green being hums under his breath <rock-a-bye... n goodnight...>, he gently rocks a small cream-colored egg within his elevated vines. Rowan seems to have found his calling, for now at least, in taking care of the unknown being that forms within the egg.
Roughly ten yards away from the group, resting on a sun-bathed rock in the middle of the water, lies the last member of the small group. The kabuto stares up into the sky, seeming not to take in the scenery, but rather just smiling blankly. Talking to noone in particular, she slowly blinks before exclaiming, <Pretty... I wonder why the sky is so blue?... Is it.. blue because there is an ocean up there?.... I like oceans... I wish I were.. Taller.. =) > Karen, is a well experienced battler and overall nice girl, but just doesn’t seem to fit in too well with the group. She is rather slow-witted and tends to take a long and great interest in nothing particularly interesting at all.
Stopping for the third headcount since they began traveling this route, Dusty notices that once again, Karen has came to a complete stop in their back trail. With a small sigh, he contemplates, ‘ Maybe I should just put her back in her pokeball... But.. She really is happy out there.. And there is no telling how many of these routes have water nearby.’
“Susannah, Rowan, hold up for just a minute. Let me go get Karen caught back up with us.” With that, Dusty began to walk back towards his kabuto, only to be passed by his speedy companion, Susannah.
<I'll get her, lemme do it for ya! I can do it, watch!>
“Suze, you don’t have to rush all the time. It’s a beautiful day, why not enjoy it and take it easy?”
