Ayah was walking down the pack with her backpack securely hugging her shoulders. She walked in a proud manner that suggested she was happy of what she had just been through. She had gotten three Pokemon, one of which she'd never heard or seen of. She wondered what it could possibly look like and got curious taking the Pokemon that contained Shellos out of her bag. She expanded and then released the Pokemon from it's ball. Out came a small Pokemon that sort of reminded her of a snail or something that would live on the bottom of the ocean.
"Oh, you're so cool!" She said in a girlish voice walking over to the shellos and knealing in front of it. She smiled and cocked her head to one side as she examined the pink Pokemon with shining black eyes standing in front of her. The look on this Pokemon's face was one of confidence. The Shellos let out a yawn.
"Oooh, you must be my new trainer. It's nice to get out of that Pokeball, thankyou." The shellos said to Ayah, Ayah nodded and showed the peace sign. The Shellos seemed nice enough but had a totally different Personality than her trainer.
"How cute! You're cute and cool at the same time. Stretch your legs a big Shellos...shellos..hmmm. I think you need a name." The shellos nodded in agreement and then started to walk around in circles. Ayah stood up and began to think a bit. Ayah stuck a finger in the air when she thought of the perfect name for the Shellos.
"How about Nodoka, it seems to suit you." The shellos closed it's eyes and thought for a moment. Then it nodded happily. Ayah was happy that it agreed. Now that Nodoka had stretched her legs and got a name, Ayah brought her back into the Pokeball. Later on she'd take a break and let all her three Pokemon come out to play for a little bit. She started to walk down the path again just as happy, maybe even happier than before.

The grass along the dirt track rustled. Overhead the sky was blue, and the trees were still, letting in cool green light. However, the grass on on the side of the road was obviously unaware of the fact that there was no wind blowing, as it rustled again. The rustles and the undulations of the greenery managed to stalk Ayah for several yards before something blue tumbled out into the open, and rolled down the road, only coming to a stop when it bonked into Ayah's heels.
<Aww, coconuts,> the shinx muttered, lying flat on his back. <I can't believe my stalking routine got fuzzled up by a rock.>

Ayah continued walking down the path thinking about the shellos she'd just named Nadoka. She was also thinking about the days ahead and how they were going to work out. Was she going to become a good trainer, or a dud that couldn't do anything. She didn't know, but she was confident and walked with her head held high. As she walked she heard a rustle of the grass and ignored it because of how in thought she was. There was no wind blowing and soon she discovered that this rustle wasn't being caused by the wind. Ayah turned to her side to see the grass move as she continued to walk, it seemed to be fallowing her.
"Hmmm..." She thought, she was usually clueless and this was no exception. She was not on her gaurd nor was she aware of the fact that it could most likely be a Pokemon. She continued to walk and stop every once in a while to see that the rustle in the grass would stop as well, it was fallowing her. She continued walking just pondering about the grass instead of watching it wondering what it could be. Then out of nowhere she was stopped and almost tripped by something hitting her heels. She turned to see a small blue Pokemon looking up at her. She listed to what it had to say and turned around to look at it.
"Awww! So cute!" I know, I'll catch it! Ayah told herself bringing out the first ball on her waste which was the level five Bulbasaur she'd obtained from the Professor. She expanded the ball and then released the Pokemon inside. The red stream of light shot to the ground and the Bulbasaur appeared.
"OOh! Do I really get to come out?! Look, a friend! This is so exciting!" The bulbasaur chanted as it hopped from one foot to the other in pure excitement. He was as happy as a Pokemon could be.

Meanwhile, the Shinx was struggling to his feet, and shaking his big-eared head. <Oh this would happen. I can't make anythin--hello!> He jumped sideways, legs braced against the earth. <Battle time! Shall I go first, or you? Actually, don't answer that!>
The golden eyes sparkled, as the young kitten pokemon dashed forward in a tackle attack.

Ayah just couldn't get over the fact that this little blue Pokemon was so cute, to her it looked like a lion cub. She needed to concentrate though because the Shinx was serious about battling and was indeed going first. It sent a tackle attack straight at her bulbasaur. She was in panick, this was her very first Pokemon battle and she didn't know what to do. Then, her bulbasaur's voice came from in front of her.
"Hey! Mrs. Trainer person! C'mon let's fight!" Ayah shook her head to wake up out of the panicked state she was in and soon she looked at the situation at hand. The Shinx was charging her with a tackle and her bulbasaur had yet to make a move.
"Bulbasaur, use tackle too!" She commanded realizing a little too late that that was a bad move. Bulbasaur ran forward and collided with the small lion looking Pokemon. They bashed heads and bulbasar was sent back a few feet, he landed on his stomach with an "Uumph!" And he sat there dazed for a minute.
"Oh! I'm sorry Bulbasaur, are you all right?!" Ayah said a little panicked again, she really had to calm down. The bulbasaur got back up on it's feet and shook it's head which was now ringing a little bit.
"I'm fine Mrs. Trainer. Just don't make me do that again." He responded and she let out a sigh of relief. Then she thought about the situation. The shinx should be in the same state as her bulbasaur had been.
"Bulbasaur, use growl!" She told the little green Pokemon with a bulb on it's back. He let out his roar in the direction of the Shinx to lower it's attack so that it wouldn't hurt so much to get hit.

((Try to keep it to one move per turn/post. It's easier on the mods to figure out how many moves the NPC pokemon has to use. But brilliant battle description. I can tell I'm going to like posting with you ^^.)) When the two skulls collided, it was as if a firecracker had gone off right in front of the shinx's eyes. He danced back on legs that had been replaced with jelly, as bright blue and yellow globes exploded in his vision. He flopped onto his belly in the grass, panting hard, and watching the saurian pokemon do nearly the same thing across the way. He couldn't hear the conversation of the pokemon and trainer above the ringing in his ears, but when he saw the bulbasaur struggle upright he decided to do the same. After all, he wasn't going to become a successful predator of the jungle if he let himself get beaten by a plant. Then he heard the growl. It sent tingles down his spine, and the cat-like pokemon backed up, hissing with his fur on end. Okay, the plant might be a little scarier than he had thought. Well, he'd just be careful when attacking it again, that was all. He rushed forward in a tackle attack that seemed almost hesitant to take on the bulbasaur.
