This thread is for the further development of my steel starter, Catamury: the first of the starters to be near finished. (TBD = To be determined)
Name: Catamury
Type: Steel
Description:
They are small gray kittens, smaller than Skitty, with two sharp front teeth. Long tails with a curled dark gray tip match with their two straight whiskers and large ears. They don't evolved forms black markings, but they can change their whole body color to a dark gray when they want to.
Their fur is a mixture of elements that create smooth short hairs that don't oxidize (meaning they don't rust). Researchers at Fernwood tower say that Aron and its evolutions have the same alloy covering their bodies.
Pokedex data:
Known for eating anything with mercury in it. They can break open thermometers and other measuring devices with their metallic teeth to get the small amounts of mercury they need in their blood. This mercury never leaves their bodies since their evolved forms need it.
They eat carbon-based life forms, but only they contain a lot of metal in them, like iron, and, of course, mercury. Other than that, small metal objects make up their diet: metal pencils, pens, wire, aluminum foil, etc.
Special Ability: Steel Fangs - Any physical (bodily) attack against a steel type Pokemon causes normal damage, as opposed to being "not very effective."
Move set:
00 - Scratch
00 - Growl
09 - Bite
15 - Metal Claw
17 - Screech
23 - Iron Tail
25 - Harden
31 - Bounce
33 - Iron Defense
39 - Slash
41 - Slam
Stat Ratios: Attack = Defense > Sp. Defense = Health Points > Sp. Attack > Speed
Evolves at level: 16
Name: Panthury
Type: Steel
Description:
They’re about the size of a Delcatty. Four long whiskers, a curled tail, and large ears, all going from gray at the base to dark gray, adorn their bodies. They still have their gray fur, but black markings appear when their heart rate is heightened. Their coats, where the black markings appear, contain a rare and special compound of Mercury. They can change their furs from gray to dark gray, but can't change the colors of their markings when they appear.
Pokedex data:
Mercury Cat Pokemon: Known for hunting anything with a good amount of iron inside them. They can sense the iron and other metals in the prey they hunt. Most of the time, they follow Aron around to see if they can find the plants and animals it loves to eat. When they're really desperate, they'll try to eat an Aron. Usually, they'll end up getting a plate off of it instead.
When traveling with one, be prepared to feed them iron and zinc supplements, as they'll probably not get the right levels of metals they need to live. They also eat mercury as well, so keeping thermometer handy would be a good idea.
Special Ability: TBD
Move set: TBD
Stat Ratios: Defense > Attack = Sp. Defense > HP > Speed =
Sp. Attack
Evolves at level: 36
Name: Cougury
Type: Steel
Description: They’re heavy set gray cats that about three feet tall when standing. The black markings still happen, but their tails turn black as well. Their four whiskers, long tail and big ears are retractable body features now. Usually, they keep them in until needed. Without the features, they appear to have no whiskers, a bobbed tail, and small rounded ears. They can’t change their whole body dark gray anymore.
Pokedex data: Metal Sound Pokemon: Known for their broad language of sound, but better known for their heart stopping screams. Their scream can make jet noise sound like popcorn in comparison. This scream allows them to frighten their prey still, giving them time to lumber over and start their attack. They're also known for starting fights with Aggron and other large rock type Pokémon, showing no fear during combat. For the most part, this cats cause fear and don't take none in return.
From metal rich stones to fish with high mercury level, these beasts will eat almost anything to supply their bodies with metallic elements. They'll search everywhere for strong alloys, but mainly stay where Aggron are found, taking the occasional plates of metal from them. Loners by nature, they hunt alone, unlike their pre-evolved forms. They usually pick fights with tough Pokémon, from Rhydon to Steelix, so anyone handling these Pokémon should expect to stop by the Pokemon Centers more often.
Special Ability: TBD
Move set: TBD
Stat Ratios: Defense > Attack = HP > Speed > Sp. Defense = Sp. Attack
Evolves at level: 56
Name: Jagury
Type: Steel
Description: They are huge cats with gray fur with permanent black markings that appear circular and in blotches. They kept their retractable body features, but gained the ability to turn their whole body black. Their jaw strength is massive, even when compared to other Pokémon out of its kind.
Pokedex data: Metal Fang Pokemon: Known for their efficient hunting style of attacking the head using their exceptionally powerful jaws. Those jaws can break the armor off of Rhyperior and Aggron. Their roar acts the same as Cougury's scream, stopping their prey for a precious moment before forcefully attacking them.
The larger the cat, the more they eat. Their diet remains the same, but how much is needed has grown even more, but not as much as one would think. They try to keep their bodies in top condition for brawling, which mean light meals and less heavy mercury. Their blood doesn’t contain Mercury anymore, but their fur does. Going totally black, they can hide in dark shadows without anyone really noticing their presence.
