((And I see you modded my profile for me -.- a level 3 wingull, either you're number generating, or you want me to suffer from the fractions. And Now I'm gonna wait for a pokemon who will get rid of the evil 5/6))
Carra breathed heavily, and sat up, stowing her newly caught paras in her backpack. She looked over at Morath, who was watching her.
"Um -- wow, I'm kinda surprised that you aren't chasing after the wingull and trying to kick it to death," Carra mentioned as she rose.
Morath just gave her a look, but then a thoughtful expression crossed her face. Carra sighed, and rolled her eyes. "Please don't, though."
The bagon shrugged, and they continued up the path.

((Now why would I want to make you suffer, Effie-kun? ;D))
A seedot was trotting down the path. It looked grumpy, much like someone who had not had their coffee that morning. And then out of the thinning mist came this stupid hulk, and the blue bagon. The angry seedot sat down in the middle of the path, and used Harden. He wasn't going to budge.

((Because there's a reason why we asked you to be an *evil* mod.))
Morath didn't even wait for a command from Carra. This pokemon was in the way, and it would pay. The fog had all but burned off by now, and there was no way that her attack would miss with the seedot just sitting there. She threw herself at the seedot, her jaws agape.

((I'm hurt ;D.))
The seedot squeaked, and squeezed his eyes shut, as the hefty jaws closed around his head. The hard shell groaned, and he could feel the tough fibers being pushed in as the teeth forced grooves into his body. Well, there was only one way to fight against this. It hurt, but if he could channel the pain into something useful he could win this. He imagined himself taking the crushing pressure and compacting it into a ball of energy inside his chest. Bide. He could wait this out.

"Morath stop! That's a defenseless acorn you're attacking!" Carra exclaimed, horrified by her bagon's behavior. She knew, of course, that it was some kind of grass type, but she didn't know much about pokemon native to Kanto, much less those native to far-flung Hoenn.
Morath completely ignored her trainer, however. Carra was getting on her nearves, and the seedot in her jaws tasted very good for a plant. She dropped the small body, and then pounced again, before it could roll away. She bit down savagely, waiting for the hard shell to crack.

The seedot sort of squeaked in pain, but told himself that it would only be another attack following this before the large bide-energy would be released in that stupid dragon's mouth.
But his shell was beginning to give way, and he was in a lot of pain...
Wait it out, wait it out, he told himself, squeezing his eyes shut. There wasn't anything else he could do - just wait it out, and hope for the best.

Morath dropped him again, chuckling to herself. This was a fine game. Crunch him and crush him and squeeze him only to give the acorn some air, and then begin the process all over again! This was an awesome game.
"Morath! Stoppit stoppit soppit!"
Well except for the interference from the annoying weak trainer. Morath was didtching Carra for the next person she came across -- unless it was Professor Kuari. Oh how Morath loathed the pokemon professor who didn't understand her potential. She realized that she had given the seedot enough freedom, and she raced after it again, chomping down on the spicy tasting shell.

And...NOW! thought the seedot as he finally gathered enough damage to his body to turn into an outward attack. Almost immediately, the little seed began to shake violently, turning a dull red color as the energy matching the withstood attacks form Morath bubbled outward. He released it in a sudden burst, shooting outwards in all directions, aiming to take down the bloody dragon. Unfortunately, the seedot was on his last legs for the battle. He managed to squirm out of the jaws of the bagon when the bide attack released, but he tottered dangerously and his vision swam. If the bide didn't take down the bagon in one shot, then surely he would go down on her next attack. ((HOORAY FOR ANOTHER BADLY MODDED POST! YESSSS! ))

Morath had not been badly damaged ever in her life. So far today she had only been attacked by weak attacks, or badly matched up attacks. Earlier she had been in the lab, hardly a dangerous environment, and earlier than that, her mother had always protected her. An angry female dragon was not something predators tried to cross. It also helped that as a species, she was on top of the food chain.
Now she understood what it was like to be on the bottom.
Red energy slamed into her, mostly going down her throat, and seemingly eviscerating her esophagus. She cringed, as she felt four sets of teeth close around her. They snapped chut like iron traps, crunching through muscle and bone. The pain left stars streaming in front of her eyes, and then blackness claimed her.
"Morath!" Carra ran toward her starter as the teal reptile fell forward on her face. The dragon seemed to be unharmed, no bruises or open wounds, or anything, but Carra also remembered that Bide was a really dangerous attack, as the actual energy it used was a little beyond anyone's ken. "Shoo, little guy. Go drink some water or something. Where did I put--,"
She trailed off as she rummaged around her pack for the pokeball Morath had come with. Carra had lifted the Bagon over her head once before. She wasn't interested in trying to carry Morath's massive dead weight ever again.
Her hands grasped the steel sphere which she had left loose in her own back pack, rather than putting it in the pouch with the other free pokeballs. Carra breathed a sigh of relief as she found it. Oh thank goodness, she had been terrified she had lost it. Not that having found the dragon's pokeball was going to make up for the fact that she was bringing in a mauled paras, and a fainted bagon to the lab, not three hours after she had left the place. She must be the most incompetent trainer in the world.
Still, at least she could get the egg that Morath wanted to eat looked at. The coloration was a little strange. Maybe it was a fire type's egg? It probably needed special care that only the lab could provide, since it had fallen out of its nest. Wild pokemon tended not to care about eggs that were gone from the nest. Probably under the assumption that marauding bagon had eaten it, Carra thought darkly.
She returned Morath, and tossed the bagon's ball into her backpack with the horribly mangled paras's pokeball. She breathed out, and looked at the seedot. It looked okay, if dazed and unhappy. She waved at it uncertainly. "Well, uh, sorry, good bye!"
So saying, Carra ran back to the village, her tail between her legs. Her first day as a trainer was just an utter failure, she privately thought, as she left the tanbark, and hit the slippery asphalt of the main road.

((Erm... Posties in the Town if you wanna continue, I guess. And I'm back, ghosting. Thanks to the e-mail you sent. Um... I can help work on the plot and all that official jazz -- if we're still doing it.))
