Huur came up with the conclusion that it was harder to avoid falling rocks the second time, than it was the first time. She didn't even want to think about the third time. Because she knew that in the next, or possibly the fourth) she probably wasn't going to mange to keep from fainting.
Quite simply because she stumbled through a hole-No other than the one she had filled with mud!- and though she managed to not fall into it, she stayed still long enough for a rather large rock to land on her head. Which hurt. Alot.
Zach already had her pokeball ready in his hand, since he was along the same line of thought as her. She wasn't ready to give up yet though, since she looked at him the moment the rocks stopped falling, with a glare for the pokeball. "Uh...Yea. I'll wait, don't worry. Won't forfeit-" Yet... he thought, but he wasn't going to let her get pounded if she didn't faint quickly. If she ended up stuck like Mwenye had been, forfeiting would be the safest option. "-So use another metal sound!" Yes. This steelix would fall the awesome power of Singe.
To bad he didn't have a water type. That'd make this all so much easier.
Huur rubbed her against the wall of cave/building, deciding to stay near it during the next rock throw (if there was one) in the hopes there would be less rock falling near the wall, and therefore support of the cieling. While rubbing her head, she proceeded with the defense lowering stat.

Mchumba winced as she heard that awful sound again. Why'd that stupid aggron-that-was-not-Mwenye have to keep using that stupid, stupid move?
Bahati closed her eyes. No need to worry at this point. "I want that aggron brought down, Mchumba," she stated, then opened her eyes. "One more Rock Throw should do it."
The gargantuan snake nodded, and once more, a shower of boulders started to fall.

Bahati was quite right in the fact that one more rock throw would do it. Despite her attempt at using logic the wall wasn't all that safe a place to be. It seemed she got hit by just as many rocks near it as she did in the center of the arena. It didn't help that another rock fell on her head, and she fell to the floor along side the last rock to fall. She mumbled something about it being impossible for that many rocks to have fallen near the wall before she was completly silent, and swallowed by the flash of red as Zach returned her to her pokeball.
Zach smiled at Bahati, "Your steelix has quite a rock throw." Gazing at the now rock-littered battlefield, he selected a spot where he'd have clear acess to the large, overgown, shiny onix. At least, that's what he thought of the steelix. He released Singe into the spot he had noticed, the firey slug staring at the much, much, larger steelix with a bored expression.
"Okay, Singe! Use Flamethrower!" Hopefull the two metal sounds had been enough to make it possible for the steelix to go down without a chance to use too many of those rock throws. ...Although now that he thought about it, it could be possible to use those tunnels in the floor to some advantage...
Singe sighed, speaking in a monotone voice. <Very well.> Her body swelled momentarily, before she suddenly exhaled a large burst of fire aimed towards Mchumba.

Mchumba roared in pain, writhing around and upsetting quite a few boulders.
Bahati nodded. She found a lot of fire-types...but she also had ways of making their lives miserable. Especially the slow ones. "Rock Throw," she ordered again. "Slugma don't move fast, so crush her!"
The "overgrown shiny onix" roared, her side weak and soft from the flames, and slammed into the steel floor with all her might. All the boulders already on the ground (that hadn't fallen down a tunnel) also jumped up from the impact, and joined new boulders in their fall to the ground.
((Have fun getting Singe out of this one...sure, offensively, she'll do fine, but let's test her defenses. I can't make this TOO easy for you. X3))

((-stares- ...Suuure you can. Ah well, if it doesn't go as planned, I can use the pwnsome Focus Blast'd Rapheal, as you said.))
"Singe, avoid as many as you can and hide in one of those tunnels!" He had the idea that only the smaller ones would be able to get in there, and hopefully there would be more than one exit for the slugma. Surely she was smaller than Mwenye and would be able to manuever inside them.
The Slugma tried to avoid them. She managed to skirt the first one, but the second rolled over her 'tail'. That resulted in a rather monotone 'Ow', as she oozed her way over to the tunnel. Before she managed to take refuge in it, quite a few more had bounced on her or rolled off, and she was feeling quite woozy. Only smaller ones were getting in, and while they still hurt some, it wasn't half as bad as it would have been.
Now, as long as the tunnel didn't collapse...
"Use Flamethrower again, as soon as the rocks stop!"
This took some time, mostly because she had to come all the way back up out of the tunnel, peek around a rock in front of the tunnel, and puff herself up before she finally sent the attack off towards Mchumba.

The flamethrower, coming from a distant tunnel and not directly at Mchumba, did not as much damage when Mchumba moved a bit to the left (but almost tripped over a rock in the process). Not to say it didn't hurt...but at least this attack wasn't a critical hit, unlike the previous.
Bahati thought for a moment. They'd be at a stalemate...what with Singe holed up like that, Flamethrower would be easy to dodge, but Rock Throw wouldn't get in. Not much to do...but she could make it difficult in case the slugma did come out, or force a tie for the round.
"Rock Throw. Just make the floor littered with rocks," Bahati ordered. A tie wouldn't be so bad...she doubted he was one to have two fire-types.
The steelix did as such, and pretty soon, more rocks tumbled down.

((...How does a giant snake almost trip?))
Of course, Bahati seemed to have forgotten one little detail. The steelix was pounding the floor in order to use the attack, and inside her tunnel Singe groaned in (not monotone!) fear. The tunnel shook, but she didn't dare leave it. Not with rocks falling from cieling. Yet, if she stayed, there was a good chance of it actually collapsing. It wasn't the best tunnel to hole up in, after all, and it'd already taken a beating from having rocks pound on it's rather thin top.
Zach couldn't think of a way he could get in another attack...Until he realized that one of her moves was Rock Slide. And it seemed to him that Mchumba had just set the field up for it perfectly. "Rock Slide, Singe! Start it off with a Flamethrower!"
The fire attack wasn't aimed at the steelix. It was aimed at the first rock in front of her tunnel...Which bounced into another one, which bounced into another, and soon enough she had a little avalance on semi-level ground heading towards Mchumba. It wasn't the best Rock Slide, but based on how hard it had been to set off, she was monotonely proud of herself. And she got out of the tunnel as soon as it was clear, deciding to face falling rocks instead of a collapsed tunnel. At least Zach would be able to recall her if she fainted before the rocks smothered her body and she ended up cold. If the tunnel collapsed, there might be a problem.

The snake winced, but luckily, the rocks slamming into her didn't hurt too much. She slithered away, rearing up to her full height, deflecting renegade rocks with her tail.
"Now that she's out...Rock Throw!"
"<'Kay,>" Mchumba muttered, slamming the ground one more time.

As the first rock tumbled to the ground, Singe had the pleasure of knowing she'd made the right choice. The tunnel she had tooken refuge in collapsed behind her, and then she realized that she had fallen (as far as a slugma could) and that there was a very heavy object on top of her. She didn't even have time for a monotone "ow" before darkness consumed her.
Although red light was what Zach saw. His type-effective had gone out of the way...But he still had his first group 3 pokemon. Plus, if it truly came to that, Oakash.
"It's time for you to meet Rapheal." Returning Singe's pokeball to the pocket (not The Pocket, just a regular one), he pulled out Rapheal's, spending no time on softy tricks like gazing at the pokeball. Those soap opera's had always made him embarassed for the people doing things like that. Honestly, how sappy could you get?
Rapheal appeared holding a Sudoku book, which promptly tossed back at Zach, realizing he was in a battle. < Darn it. I almost had it figured out... > He brightened momentarily-at least he'd get to try out a new move!
It didn't appear it was going to be the first one, however. "Warm up with a Swords Dance." Rapheal sighed somewhat in disapointment. He'd wanted to try out the new move...Although, taking another look at his opponent, he suddenly thought that maybe upping his attack power wouldn't be that bad an idea.
So he did.

((It will never come to that. This is a three-on-three battle. Luckily, Raphael should be able to do okay if he dodges enough - which he can, since he's fast. You don't need to bother with Sword Dance, since it's a special attack.))
Mchumba, who smirked at the idea that she'd just crushed - literally - a fire type, simply released another Rock Throw. She was on a roll.
Bahati ignored her Pokemon, choosing instead to watch the foe's Pokemon. Sword Dance...so that probably means he's going to go with a physical attack pattern. As long as Mchumba stays far away, he should go down. "Mchumba! Stay far away from him so short-range attacks don't work!"
((And now you can use the tricky no-that-was-just-to-make-you-THINK-I-was-going-to-use-a-short-range- attack-hahaha-eat-my-long-range-Focus-Blast move. X3))

((Well, I have no clue what Focus Blast is. XD I can't find it on psypoke...))
"Dodge 'em, Rapheal! Follow up with the new move!" Over the thunder of falling rocks, it was hard to make it out for certain, but the Zangoose was fairly certain that was what Zach had said. It sounded good to him, in any case, so he dashed back and forth, dodging the largest rocks, and being showered with dirt and smaller ones. One the size of his foot landed on his shoulder, but that was the worst he got this round. Although it hurt like nothing he'd felt before.
Once the rocks weren't falling anymore, he took a deep breath and focused, perhaps more than was necessary. He wanted this move to succeed the first time he used it. It always sucked when a move failed the very first time you ever used it, after all.

((You can use Focus Blast five times. Luckily, one more hit to Mchumba should do it...doesn't even need to be Focus Blast. She's at like, the red zone in terms of HP. XP ))
Mchumba shrieked as the super-effective blast hit her, only sparing her since she was able to let a large boulder take a bit of it. Panting, she swung her tail forward in a tired attempt at an Iron Tail.
Frowning, Bahati was already grabbing Imamu's Pokeball. Mchumba didn't look like she'd last more than one turn...however, this was Zach's final Pokemon, and Imamu was rather powerful...

Zach thought for a moment, before deciding on a physical attack. The earlier Sword Dance would have powered it up, and since Mchumba didn't look like she was going to crush him if he came too close, Zach was fairly certain he could get away with it. So, physical attack it was..."Crush Claw, Rapheal!"
Rapheal grinned, which produce a rather...interesting, expression on his face. What with his teeth being bared and all. Crush Claw was an awfully fun attack...Streaking foward, he used the hit of the Iron Tail attack (not dodging it, since he wasn't in a position to do that, and attack at the same time) he used the momentum of it pushing him off to the side to dart foward and bring his claws down in a crushing attack.

With a crumbling roar, Mchumba fell backwards, and slumped against the steel wall with a defeated sigh.
Bahati nodded, taking Mchumba's Pokeball out. "You have won the round, and tied the match thus far. I have one more Pokemon. If your zangoose can defeat it, you win the Ore Badge," she stated simply as she returned her fallen steelix. The old woman's eyes flashed. "However, Imamu is hard to defeat. Get out there, Imamu, and show her the true power of the steel-type!"
Her Pokeball zoomed forward, slammed against the steel, and opened to reveal a gargantuan creature with four legs, glaring eyes, and the look of something not made by nature. The metagross roared, swiveling its eyes to lock on to Raphael.
"Imamu, let's start off with a Scary Face. I want that zangoose incapacitated!" Bahati glanced at Zach. His zangoose had great speed - something steel-types generally didn't. Would he still be able to defeat her on a more level playing field? She did not know, but felt curious enough to find out.
Imamu upped the intensity of his glare, stomping forward slowly. Fear radiated out towards Raphael...

OoC: -hopes that scary face is a speed stat lowerer- ...I usually only use offensive moves...Heh heh...
BiC:
Rapheal shuddered as he finally noticed Imamu's glare, stepping backward with each step that the large steel type took. He snapped his gaze away from Imamu, but the memory lingered...
Half-distracted thus, it took him a moment to respond to Zach's call for another Focus Blast. Since that particular move had been helpful against Mchumba, Rapheal hoped it would help for Imamu's defeat. Because, really, Rapheal didn't want to face any more of those faces.
Zach, meanwhile, was wondering how something made out of steel was able to change its facial expression at all, much less to such a drastic degree as to slow down Rapheal with fear.

The behemoth groaned as it was thrown forward - it hadn't prepared for an attack like that, and took it directly.
Bahati mumbled about her Pokemon having a bad day before focusing on the task at hand. "Alright Imamu, show him your Psychic attack! Prove to him how dangerous underground fights can be!"
The monster roared (it didn't like to talk during battles - it found them to be bad form), then glowed. Psychic energy swirled around Raphael's mind and body, hoping to hurt the mind and throw the body against the ceiling, then have him fall to the ground. And since the ground and ceiling were both hard, rocky steel, it should hurt.
That is, if Raphael didn't know any sort of move that could get himself out of a psychic barrage.

No such moves came to mind, although Zach was certain that while using Focus Blast over and over (He only had three more uses left, and he wasn't sure how much health Imamu had), but perhaps Pursuit would do some good?
"As if I need to be convinced! Rapheal, hang in there and use Pursuit!" Really, Zach knew very well how dangerous being underground could be. Much less battling underneath it. It was pure craziness, and the wierd people who lived here...
Well, Zach wasn't too worried about it. If he could just beat Bahati, then he could get out of the mountain and be on his way.
Rapheal wasn't thinking about any of that. He was in the process of being slammed against two VERY hard surfaces, and a headache was about ready to beat his brian to pieces. The moment he touched ground (painfully) once more, he stepped into the Pursuit attack, although since Imamu wasn't going anywhere, it was pretty useless.
But who knew? Maybe he was part-psychic or something, and Pursuit would do some damage. Could something not psychic learn psychic moves?

But Imamu was part-psychic, and although Imamu didn't move much... It really did hurt when Raphael slammed into him. The monstrosity that was the metagross gave a low-pitched, metallic groan, and backpedaled a bit to avoid any more of the attack. Bahati frowned. "Well, at least he doesn't know anything more powerful than Pursuit...Imamu! Let's show him a steel-type attack - our signature Meteor Mash!" Not bothering to up her Pokemon's defenses or down her opponent's speed, she figured trying to wear him out with powerful physical attacks would be enough. The mouthless beast roared, and slammed the ground. Suddenly, multiple shining metal spheres ((dunno what this attack looks like )) zoomed out of the ceiling, all singing through the air in a barrage against Raphael. Luckily, they were sort of big, and not too close together...maybe if Raphael was quick enough, he could dodge the brunt of the attack? It was probably a good thing that Bahati didn't bother with the Scary Face that turn.

"Use another pursuit! Get close to Imamu!" Zach's thinking was this: If he got close to Imamu, he'd not be hit by the attack. Why? Because Imamu was hardly likely to set his meteor's off at himself, after all.
It was much harder said than done. Rapheal had backpedaled, getting as far from Imamu as he reasonably could, after the last attack. It simply wasn't safe to be that close to something that could squish you. In any case, he darted foward, succeeding in avoiding what he thought was the 'center' of the attack-certiantly it was an area of concentrated 'meteors'. While he still got hit by a fair few of them, it wasn't enough to actually do more than cause him to stumble, losing some of the power behind his attack.

((...Nice...that's mah Lee-lee! )) The behemoth, as well as its trainer, also hadn't expected this attack. So while the metagross stepped back a little (it wasn't very maneuverable or fast), it still managed to take the attack head-on, have it score a critical hit, and get a huge headache. It really wasn't its day...or its teammates' days, either, apparently. Bahati frowned. Meteor Mash wasn't going to work... "Well, let's go back to Psychic, then. Get him farther away from you! Smash him again!" So the monster went about the same strategy again, wrapping psychic threads around the mammal, then playing the puppeteer. ((You should be able to win this relatively shortly. You know how to beat it, I would guess - even without using a made-by-Nyaa-Neko strategy! *is so proud* GO, GO, LEE-LEE! ))
