Well, Nyaa's thing is that we should have about a page of posts for each Gym Leader's pokemon, which can be rather looooong, especially when she won't allow what would be a natural defeat of a pokemon with a 4x weakness to a certain attack. Since Tejan is supposed to be the region that you can get through pretty easily, as opposed to Jenta where you have to put a lot of effort in if you don't want to be sent back, having super long gym battles seems to defeat the purpose.

Yargh. I'm going to say that unless you're really stupid, you can win on the second page...or earlier...if you're smart and match your types.

Nur. Since people seem to have forgotten, so far we have suggestions for:
4 gym towns (with two gyms in each)
We need:
- 2 more towns with gyms - Alternatives to the 4 towns mentioned if you don't happen to like the ideas presented - Routes connecting everything! - Possibly a lab town

Alright, here is the basic outline for Tejan - if nobody says anything, I'll put it up over the weekend (hopefully): Basic gym/town outline:- Lab/Normal
- Fire/(Dragon)
- Grass/(Water)
- Bug/(Psychic)
- Dark/...something...I'd say contests, but it seems a bit late
- Ice/(Flying)
Alright, so here is the slightly more detailed outline of the towns: Journey outline:- Lab/Normal: Ruby City: A large city, complete with skyscrapers. It is the information capital of Tejan, and the gym is on the eighteenth floor of a rather tall, ornate building in the middle of the city. The lab is in a skyscraper on the other side of town. Other attractions include a breeding building, a "wild Pokemon simulation building", and a gigantic department store.
- Route 1 - Sunrise Path: A route that goes along a plain, then into some mountains. You can find plenty normal-types, fire-types, rock-types, and ground-types, with small assortments of others.
- Fire/(Dragon): Drake Landing: This town on the lip of Tejan's (hopefully) inactive volcano used to be known for the charizard the local breeders produced. Traditionally the Town's Fire gym was run by the breeder who produced the best pokemon, as determined by an annual battle between the bred pokemon. However, several decades ago there was an internal split between the breeders as to whether better pokemon were produced when one concentrated on charizard's native fire type, or latent draconic abilities. The dragon breeders set up a gym inside the volcano's crater, while the fire breeders remained in town. Funnily enough the dragon breeders are beginning to concentrate on dragonair lines and their water abilities now.
- Route 2 - Ylpa Way: Once you get off the mountain, you get onto Route 2, the route across the grasslands and onto Lake Ylpa, where El Dueg is located. You find a lot of grass-types, water-types (once you reach the lakefront, where boats can take you to El Dueg), and the like.
- Grass/(Water): El Dueg: This city is on the far side of the two Tejan Mountains. The grasslands spread out from the base of the volcano in a wide swath, with a great lake in the middle of them. On this lake is the floating city Tichteno -- or El Dueg as the Jenta settlers have renamed it. Since the two Mountains often block air flows from one side of Tejan to the other it is usually raining on the grasslands. Not a problem for the natives, who like the reeds and grasses that they use as float-ables for their city to grow as quickly as possible. Two gyms are here, one that celebrates the sun right in the middle of the City, and the other that celebrates the water that gives live located on and under the lake itself.
- Route 3 - Ash Forest: After a quick jaunt past the grasslands surrounding Lake Ylpa, you reach an ashy forest with quite a few grass-types, bug-types, and flying-types - as well as other Pokemon who can tolerate the ash. The trees look rather peculiar, on account of the strange environment for the forest (which grows well, even though it gets hit by "ashen rain").
- Bug/(Psychic): Firefly Village: This small community based in the ashy forest at the base of Tejan's volcano is home to the School for Psychics in Tejan, where gifted humans learn to tame their powers and work with pokemon. Since some of the young psychics don't have the best control, the school was located at the very edge of this isolated village filled with bug pokemon to keep the psychics under control. However, the head master is always ready for a challenge, and will take on all comers, despite how much Firefly's gym leader may get annoyed about it.
- Route 4 - Ravaged Road: A footpath across an inclining foothills area - it brings you to the larger mountain range in Tejan. The terrain is sort of hard to cross, as it gets hit with strange, isolated earthquakes, making the ground very rocky and torn up. Flying Pokemon make their nests in the tall spires, so they are rather common. Other Pokemon include rock-types, fighting-types, ground-types, and anything else hardy enough to take the terrain.
- Dark/...something...: Xyno Town: A sunny little town in the mountains...during the day. It's mostly a nocturnal town, with all the nightlife being the normal life. The gyms, shops, and such all open in the evening, and the gym battle itself is fought outside under the spectacular stars. Everybody wears dark colors, but they're all very happy and cheerful about it...it's also, ironically, the fashion capital of the region.
- Route 5 - Mountain Pass: A pass that takes you from Xyno Town, in the temperate lower areas of the mountains, to the freezing Kuriblitz Peak. Partway up, you start to experience snow, which makes travel pretty difficult. Don't worry - the sheer drop-offs are only in the beginning, where the path isn't icy. Common Pokemon types include ice near the top, with flying and rock closer to Xyno Town.
- Ice/(Flying): Kuriblitz Peak: This high mountain village is home to two major clans. The Nobishira run the postal service of Tejan, their bird pokemon being the messengers that can deliver even to the most out of the way areas, or isolated regions like Miteinjan. The Ferzi clan run Kuriblitz's other business. The glass blowers of Kuriblitz are famed throughout Tejan and beyond. Normally the clans are at odds with one another, but the youngest sons of the family are actually best (if competitive) friends, and run the two gyms on either side of the village.
- Route 6 - Highway of the Sky: The final route in Tejan, it takes you off the top of Kuriblitz peak, and into the sky. Only flying-types and ghost-types (for obvious reasons) can handle the altitudes and serious lack of ground. It takes you up to the final destination in Tejan, where you can fight for the title of Champion of Tejan.
- Airborne Arena: A marvel of technology Airborne Arena is a large airship that floats above Tejan. It's much larger than its underwater Jentan twin, as it houses not only the champion and her associates, but a few shops and a couple last-minute training halls.
So yeah...I can edit in gym types and the starter list and other things...later... How does this look?

I like it. Since MF never got around to it (and I saw some pairing opportunities) I have some Gym Leader Bio suggestions:
Becca (Needs a last name)
Age: 28 (Birthday: November 8th)
Appearance: Becca is fairly short, with dark hair and green eyes under her unibrow. She usually wears a blue gray rain jacket, and tight leggings. If she isn't carrying her large black bag filled with her various cameras and equipment something must be wrong. She is fit thanks to years of hiking and training, but her skin is pale and freckled, and she slathers on sun screen for fear of burning.
Home Town: Firefly Village
Gym Type: Bug
Gym Layout: Becca's gym has the same ashy forest and rocky surroundings that can be found outside. The trees and boulders provide excellent protection for her fast bug types, and the terrain is extremely heat resistant, making fire type moves not as effective as they would be normally.
Attack Style: Becca likes to put her pokemon's speed to her advantage, having them attack fast, and then retreat to safety behind the boulders or trees in her arena.
Pokemon (you may fight any 2 of these)
Reaper - Scizor (m) Panzer - Ariados (m) Singer - Kricketune (f) Sleeper - Shedinja (f)
Personality: Becca is a morning person, often getting up before dawn to crawl through bushes and briars, all in the name of catching the dewdrops on a spinarak's web as the light first hits on film. She is dedicated and determined, splitting her time between training and photography. Unlike many younger photographers, she spends her energy on discovering the beauties of nature, rather than photographing pokemon.
She was voted in as gym leader for Firefly Village after her Panzer kept a young pyrokinetic from setting the village alight. Since then She has turned her energy to keeping the gym stable, and keeping the students at the Psychic school from haring the village. Becca likes most of the students, and helps them as she is able, but dislikes the headmaster's over confidence in his abilities.
~ ~ ~
Finor (need last name)
Age: 30 (Birthday: September 14th)
Appearance: Finor is tall and usually grinning. He tends to wear black, and other dark colors of sweatshirts, with a deep purple bandanna to keep his dyed red hair out of his eyes (he will never let it get cut to a shorter length, since girls think it looks good, just at his chin). Laughing and confident he always has a pleasant open expression. Thanks to his rather zealous attitude about his looks, he keeps fit and active, making great use of the school's gym, and hiking around the mountain.
Home Town: Xyno Town (which explains his interest in fashion)
Gym Type: Psychic
Gym Layout: Finor will challenge prospective trainers to battle any chance he can get, so the gym surroundings will change. However, there is a battle salle at the school if you managed to hunt him up there.
The building is long and the arena is pitch dark. Puffs of steam gush from the wooden floor if too much weight is put on it, as right bellow the salle is the school's sauna. In fact, the floor boards are delicately balanced, so any movement on them might dump your pokemon into scalding water. It is a great way to teach psychic types to master levitation, but it can cause quite a bit of damage if you weren't expecting it.
Attack Style: Finor likes to use his pokemon's psychic attacks on the floor boards, slowly destroying your pokemon's ability to move and come at him physically, while attacking them with large, telekinetically held two-by-fours. He will also use the same tactic out in the open, attacking with surround objects until your pokemon faints.
Pokemon (you may be challenged by any two out of the 4 he generally uses):
Woodwind - Gardevior (f) Arpeggio - Medicham (m) Sonata - Alakazam (f) Tenor - Golduck (m)
Personality: Finor is an empath, who takes great care to keep his young charges under control, and teach them the basics of control. While in the school grounds he is fairly sober, and keen to help young psychics adjust to the rigors of having to be very, very careful how they think and feel.
Outside the grounds, he is cocky, self possessed, and gets quite the kick out of annoying Gym Leader Becca. Mainly he feels that she needs to take her work less seriously, and go on a vacation, or at least try to relax. Besides, her determination and stubborn strong will make him naturally gravitate towards her, as empaths tend to gravitate towards people with stronger control than they usually can manage. And Becca looks very cute when she scowls.

I am posting an idea that Neko had. So if you hate it and want to kill somebody over it, kill her, not me. I'm just doing this because she's lazy and APUSH-stricken. That, and she calls it APUSH. Only lame people call it APUSH. USHAP > APUSH, Neko.
Anyway, here is her lab idea:
The Laboratory of Doom, Please Kindly Run and Scream:[/u]
Professor name: Edwin Cerasus (the subgenus of the cherry tree)
Starters: 5 fixed, 5 generated, 3 rotating, 1 special way of choosing (14 total)
- Fixed starter types: fire, water, grass, electric, normal (like always...but not the normal starters...): - - - - - Fire = Slugma - - - - - Water = Corphish - - - - - Grass = Bellsprout - - - - - Electric = Magnemite - - - - - Normal = Rattata --> 5 total
- Generated starters: generate new ones via number generator every two weeks. Exclude legendaries or super-rares (i.e. feebas, rotom, etc.) --> 5 total
- Rotational starters: rotate through each of the standard starters (minus pikachu and eevee). Have one type represented by one of the normal starters, and have them change every two weeks. How about this order, with the underlined one going first: - - - - - Fire = Chimchar - Charmander - Cyndaquil - Torchic - - - - - Water = Squirtle - Totodile - Mudkip - Piplup - - - - - Grass = Treecko - Turtwig - Bulbasaur - Chikorita --> 3 total
- Special-choosing starters: you pick a letter, and a number generator chooses one Pokemon with a name that begins with that letter. The basic form (not baby, basic) gets added to the choices, though you don't have to pick it. --> 1 total
--> 14 total at any one given time
And that is the idea of the Neko.
I remember MorriganFearn also musing about having a "what type are you" quiz, and you'd get some choices from that type. But I'm too lazy to write one, and I have my doubts about Neko's time. It would probably be a small quiz...sort of like this:
You would get five questions in one post, and you'd answer them in your next post. The post following that would have the type and the other possible starter(s):
Question 1: Choice A or Choice B? (Choice A eliminates half the types, and Choice B eliminates the other half.)
Question 2: Choice C or Choice D? (Of the types you have left, Choice C eliminates half of them, and Choice D eliminates the other half.)
And so on, until there is only one type left.
So yeah. If we added that, then we could have 15 starters, which is a nicer number than 14. To me, at any rate.

My one problem with a type quiz is that we're really relying very heavily on the number generator. I know certain members of the adminal circle aren't so comfortable with using it, and this has scared them away from modding for Jenta. Wouldn't it be better to have the quiz using fixed pokemon?

Post by Nyaa-Neko on Aug 28, 2007 22:46:42 GMT -5
Erm...I guess...I could make some fixed Pokemon. I'll make 'em change every so often, though, and I won't require the admin using the quiz to use them as the starters. So like...if you got electric, the fixed starter might be mareep...but you can give a voltorb if you want. Yar.

Okay, please, for those of you desperately waiting for Jenta to resume, suggest the kinds/number of pokemon you would like to see in Tejan.
We need them for:
- Sunrise Path - Ylpa Way - Ash Forest - Ravaged Road - Mountain Pass - Highway of the Sky

Okay, no response from peoples... Well, here are my responses for the pokies of Tejan:
1) I am assuming that there will be at least 6 pokemon species per route 2) I will try to avoid having too much overlap from Jentan pokemon 3) Trying to keep in ming the descriptions and terain, and such
Route - Sunrise Path Terain/Types - Normal, Fire, Rock, Ground (grass?) - Dry grass plain leading into mountainous foothills Suggested six pokemon - Buneary - live in burrows in the grassland - Sandshrew - same, often compete for living space - Nidoran - also burrowing around in the grass - Ryhorn - often found grazing on the plain - Cyndaquil - another burrower (questionable, as it will be a starter) - Vulpix - lives in burrows, preys on all the tasty herbivores, except for ryhorn (questionable, exists in Jenta)
Route - Ylpa Way Terrain/Types - Mainly Grass and Water - Going from rocky edge of the grasslands to a lake - Often Raining Suggested Pokemon - Farfetch'd - in grasslands and lake front, likes to munch on corphish - Lotad - in lake, occasionally on shore (questionable, found in Jenta) - Exeggcute - in grasslands, usually near farfetch'd nests (questionable, found in Jenta, and evolves into a pokemon that wouldn't like living in the grasslands) - Hoppip - happily floating through the grass (questionable, found in Jenta) - Oddish - mostly underground during the day, don't step on their leaves (questionable, found in Jenta) - Carvanha - In lake (Questionable, found in Jenta, and evolves into a salt water pokemon, despite being freshwater in it's early form >.<) - Corphish - In lake, and on lake shore (Questionable, found in Jenta)
Route - Ash Forest Terrain/Type - Ash covered forest, fairly rocky ground - Ash rain - Grass, bug, flying (?! - birds dun usually like ash raining from the sky...) Suggested Pokemon - Spinarak - in the forest. We have to have 'em! (Questionable, found in Jenta) - Ledyba - tootling along on the trees (questionable, found in Jenta) - Hoothoot - awake and hopping around at night (questionable, found in Jenta) - Spearow - they're pretty scruffy anyway, and don't depend on flight all that much (questionable, found in Jenta) - Seedot - hanging from the treez, mixing in with the ashy forest floor (questionable, found in Jenta) - Nincada - hiding on the forest floor (questionable, found in Jenta)

Okay, I'm going to try to put up my concepts for the gym leaders that I originally thought up (Minus Becca and Finor since Pur-chan did those and I'm lazy... (also, if either Purr-chan or Nyaa are into relationship/pairings I'll just let them do whatever they want) . Drake's Gym:Basic Information:Requirement to Challenge: Spectrum Badge Badge: Inferno Badge Arena: This gym makes use of a large desert biome arena. The breeders of the gym use it to get their younger charges used to battling. The theory is that if young charmander see strong gym battles every day, they won't flinch away from them. Charmander are the spectators to all gym battles, as well as some of the breeders. So, you, as a challenger, get to fight the current leader in a vast open space covered in sand, and rocks, with the occasional cactus. The arena itself is large and oval, bounded by a short wire fence. If your pokemon is knocked beyond those bounds they might feel the caress of a flame thrower from a mother charizard who doesn't want her babies squished. Location: Center of Drake's landing, it's the big glass building. (The glass is very expensive, and comes all the way from Kuriblitz Peak, so please don't let your pokemon break it). The Gym Leader:Name: Abersa Griole Age: 16 Appearance: Short with dark hair, Abersa like to dress up in lovely dresses, and has a one sides love affair with anything that sparkles. Her favorite colors are rich saturated reds and pinks. She hates pastels with a fiery passion (like woah). Unfortunately, in her role as a breeder, she can't usually dress up, since even egg laying is a messy business, not to mention the moment of hatching, and all that oh-so-lovely fluid, and level one pokemon are just little manure factories. So, she'll wear the standard red canvas apron and bandana of her trade, most of the time. Personality: Abersa is quick tempered, and an absolutist. She loves fire pokemon. She hates dragon types. She hates water types. She loves red... You get the idea. Once she has made a judgment about something she won't back down. This is reflected in her battle style, which is aggressive and relies heavily on powerful fire attacks. The Pokemon:Total: 6 Amount to Challenge: 2 (She'll offer you a choice from her six, but you will have to face one charmander, and one charmeleon) Pokemon:Charmander- Gender: male - Nickname: Centurion - Level: 13 - Ability: Blaze - Attacks: Scratch, Metal Claw, Ember, Swords Dance - Personality: He was bred to be a hack and slash pokemon, and Abersa favors using his metal claw ability. He is rather uptight, and military-esque. Charmander- Gender: Female - Nickname: Hotshot - Level: 14 - Ability: Blaze - Attacks: Scratch, Fire Fang, Ember, Fire Spin - Personality: She comes from a line of charizard that are particularly well known for their fire attacks, and Hotshot knows it. She's extremely arrogant, and can't wait to evolve. Charmander- Gender: male - Nickname: Coal - Level: 15 - Ability: Blaze - Attacks: Scratch, Growl, Ember, Smokescreen - Personality: He was actually a wild capture, and tends to feel a little inferior to all of the pure bred charmander he's surrounded by. This has made him train the hardest, but Abersa isn't a smart enough trainer to use his full potential. Charmeleon:- Gender: female - Nickname: Sparks - Level: 14 - Ability: Blaze - Fire attacks go up in a pinch - Attacks: Ember, Metal Claw, Fire Spin, Growl - Personality: She evolved early, as part of a breeding experiment that Abersa tried. She isn't as strong as the gym leader would like, but she is very excitable. Charmeleon:- Gender: male - Nickname: Cinder - Level: 16 - Ability: Blaze - Fire attacks go up in a pinch - Attacks: Ember, Dragon Rage, Fire Spin, Swift - Personality: Cinder was actually Abersa's brother's, and had several moves that Aberesa didn't approve of. She managed, with patient tutoring, to teach Cinder "Swift" instead of "Dragon Dance," but Cinder's favorite move is dragon rage, and she hasn't been able to get him to forget it. Charmeleon:- Gender: Male - Nickname: Cardinal - Level: 16 - Ability: Blaze - Fire attacks go up in a pinch - Attacks: Sunny Day, Iron Tail, Flamethrower, Fling - Personality: Abersa's favorite pokemon, Cardinal is shiny, and gets first pick of all the TMs Abersa gets her hands on. He is very spoiled by his "mother."

Paradise Breeding Gym:
Basic Information:
Requirement to Challenge: Two pokemon
Prizes: Paradise Badge, A set of four custom pokeballs, and/or an Egg!
The Challenge: There are three challenges set by Gym Leader Ondura, a one on one battle with any one of her pokemon will get you the Paradise Badge if you win, then you must use your second pokemon in a one on one contest competition where you might recieve a useful set of pokeballs, and finally, you, the trainer, must take her breeding quiz. If you pass that you'll get an egg from Ondura based on your trainer's personality from their bio.
Contest Rules: You get five minutes to freshen up your contest pokemon in one of the breeding stalls, and then you must present that pokemon to the rest of the breeders in the gym's breeding parlor. The more detailed your post the higher your appearance score. Then you and Ondura will display moves in four appeal rounds, the effect scored just as they would be in the games. You can get 5 points for a good description, plus the points accumulated during the appeals round. If you get more than Ondura (she doesn't get more than 3 points in the appearance score, since the audience are so familiar with her pokemon by now) then you win.
The Quiz: Is an oral exam with different questions for every person, but you will receive 10 questions about breeding and egg lines. You need to get all 10 correct in order to receive the egg.
Arena: The gym is a square building which overlooks the lip of the volcano. The inside is basically a large sandbox, as most dragon eggs need to mature in hot sand. The left side of the arena is made out of private breeding booths, or the curtained off areas where breeders prepare their pokemon before displaying them. The right side is filled with seats for the audience of breeders.
Location: Paradise Breeding Gym is located at the edge of town, specifically the edge on the volcano. This building contains a square main building where the gym is located, and two side wings, which no one but the breeders are allowed into.
The Gym Leader:
Name: Ondura Pykasko
Age: 31
Appearance: Tall and calm, Ondura has black hair and olive colored skin, with gray green eyes. She generally wears blue and white, and likes small butterfly clips to hold up her hair. Her general attire consists of a blue wind breaker, jean shorts (it's very hot where she works) and a white cotton t-shirt.
Personality: Ondura is very calm and serene, however, ten years ago she was diagnosed with as a maniac-depressive. She takes medication to even out her emotions, which have given her a peaceful reputation. Before she was diagnosed Ondura was in the middle of a breakdown in her personal life, and a screaming crash in her professional one as a nurse in training. When she was put on medication she decided that in order to get a clean break she would take a year and go training. She was given a dratini by her then boyfriend and now husband, Mitchell Pykasko, and went on her way. She came back to Drake's landing an accomplished trainer, and took over the unofficial gym with great success. Ondura is very controled and always maintains a calm face, no matter what. It's well known that she doesn't get along with the younger Abersa's volatile temper. She's known for her talents with dratini and dragonair breeding, as well as her patient battle style, concentrating on defense, rather than offense.
The Pokemon:
Total: 6
Amount to Challenge: 2, one to fight, and one to contest against. You may choose whichever two you like, but specify which end of the challenge you want to face them on.
Pokemon:
Dratini - Gender: Male - Nickname: Rupert - Level: 16 - Ability: Shed Skin - Attacks: Leer, Acid Armor, Wrap, Aqua Tail - Personality: Impertinent and rude, Rupert is just one of many dratini that are descended from Ondura's original dratini (now dragonite) Jessica. He has a complex about being thought of as special.
Shellos - Gender: Female - Nickname: Isabelle - Level: 16 - Ability: Sticky Hold - Items cannot be detatched - Attacks: Harden, Mud Sport, Water Pulse, Recover - Personality: Isabelle is part of Ondura's effort to introduce more water moves into her dratini lines, which often makes her feel both useful, and resentful of being used at the same time.
Dratini - Gender: Female - Nickname: Betty - Level: 16 - Ability: Shed Skin - Attacks: Sunny Day, Rain Dance, Light Screen, Flamethrower - Personality: Betty is the beauty of Ondura's gym team. She knows she's special, but despite having Flamethrower in her arsenal, Betty prefers to battle in the contests rather than in the arena. She just doesn't like physical aggression.
Gible - Gender: Male - Nickname: Peter - Level: 16 - Ability: Sand Veil - Attacks: Tackle, Sand Attack, Dragon Rage, Sandstorm - Personality: Conservative and quiet, Peter doesn't approve of things out of place. The gym leader should never lose, and women should be in the kitchen, to his way of thinking. He is uncomfortable with Ondura, and even moreso with the idea of being a breeding pokemon, so he has agreed to train in the gym, instead.
Bagon - Gender: Male - Nickname: Frank - Level: 16 - Ability: Rock Head - Attacks: Endure, Leer, Headbutt, Bite - Personality: Sensible and solid, this little guy doesn't take guff from anyone. He relies on himself rather than Ondura to get him out of any scrapes, but this is out of bloody-minded self reliance, rather than a comment on Ondura as a trainer.
Horsea - Gender: Male - Nickname: Torrian - Level: 16 - Ability: Swift Swim - Attacks: Bubble, Bubblebeam, Smokescreen, Leer - Personality: A space case, Torrian is easily distracted by his own bubbles. Ondura hopes that training in the gym will help get him a little more grounded.

Should we allow more than one character in Tejan since it isn't really a main region yet, as long as they keep all there characters together. Either that, our allow a dual battle setting for people who want to have two characters. I for people having more characters because it means I can put more people through my wildfire ideas. (the randomness that I really didn't want to post, but want to post now) I say let the torture begin and let it not end! >:]

I'm all for it, as long as people can get their bios approved. We'll have to see what great leader Neko says ;D.

For those of you wondering why it's taken me so long to respond to everyone, it's because I'm doing more behind the scenes work on Tejan. Namely the gym leader bios (taking soooo long). But I also would like the routes to have pokemon not found in Jenta populating them, so I compiled a list of all the pokemon that are not found wild in Jenta (or one of the starters) and are not legenary (most of the legends are in Jenta, apparently, just lurking around...) Anyway, here's the list. If you see a pokemon you just have to capture, reply to this thread and tell us. We'll find a place to fit it in. EDIT: Of course actually posting the list I made would be good... 2. Ivysaur 3. Venusaur 5. Charmeleon 6. Charizard 9. Blastoise 11. Metapod 12. Butterfree 13. Weedle 14. Kakuna 15. Beedrill 24. Arbok 26. Raichu 28. Sandslash 30. Nidorina 31. Nidoqueen 33. Nidorino 34. Nidoking 36. Clefable 38. Ninetails 40. Wigglytuff 41. Zubat 43. Oddish 45. Vileplume 46. Paras 47. Parasect 49. ...Oddish had better become captureable. How could Oddish have been left out? Poor thing. Stantler would be cool too though.

Oddish was once catchable in Route Three, but I hated things that were under leveled for the pokemon being used. Oddish evolve at level 21, and on Route Three it will be rare for people to see pokemon that are under level 24 when I'm modding unless I really, really dislike them. Group two starts at level 25, a level 20 pokemon would give 1/4 exp, and quite frankly, it's mean to beat up on oddish with pokemon at least five levels higher than it.
Also, by the way, oddish might be catchable in Mushroom Forest. I never factored it in when making the pokedex, because for a while we were going to delete the forest. But it never happened, and I need to look at the available pokemon there, and probably change my "Please Place Us in Tejan" list.
Now that that's out of the way, yup oddish will be availiable in Tejan, and stantler would be perfect for the Ashy Forest ^^.

Okay trying the route pokemon thing again. As always I think 6 - 8 different types of pokies per route are enough. Route 1 is already taken care of, at least, so let's get onto route two:
Route 2 - Ylpa Way: Once you get off the mountain, you get onto Route 2, the route across the grasslands and onto Lake Ylpa, where El Dueg is located. You find a lot of grass-types, water-types (once you reach the lakefront, where boats can take you to El Dueg), and the like.
Suggested pokemon: Farfetch'd Scyther Oddish Azurill Shuckle Heracross
Note, there aren't actually all that many "grass" grass types. Of the grass types that aren't being used somewhere else, already, I can't really think of many that would enjoy the environment of Ylpa Way. Bugs would seem to thrive best, here, actually.
-------------------------------------------------
Route 3 - Ash Forest: After a quick jaunt past the grasslands surrounding Lake Ylpa, you reach an ashy forest with quite a few grass-types, bug-types, and flying-types - as well as other Pokemon who can tolerate the ash. The trees look rather peculiar, on account of the strange environment for the forest (which grows well, even though it gets hit by "ashen rain").
Suggested Pokemon: Stantler Pinsir Shuckle Pinco Spinarak Bonsly Murkrow
