Reading the reviews on Pokemon: Diamond and Pearl versions, I've been noticing that we all have the same problem with the games: Not enough new pokemon. MF said that there were 111 pokemon missing from the games if we were to have gotten the full complement of 151 per game. So, why not make our own? I'm sure everyone has some original pokemon they they designed. Let's try to get by the end of the summer a full 111 original pokies for Jenta. We've already got 3 from Ian the Jolteon, the base forms for a three tiered evolution scheme. Once he finishes the last two forms for all three then we have 9 pokemon. It can only keep growing. So, if you have an original pokemon, dust it off, and post the stats here. If it's too Mary Sue-esque* we can give each other feed back and get it back into the bounds of reality. Also, no legendaries, please. There are enough of them in the cannon pokemon world as it is. Here is what the admins would need to consider your original pokemon as one of the 111: Name: Type: Description: One of the artists on this site should be able to draw it from this description, so be as detailed as possible if you're interested in fan art, and/or sprite makers. Pokedex data: As detailed as you like. In the games they usually have about three sentences on behavior and eating habits, and stuff like that. (Special Ability:) (Movesets:) (Stat Ratios:) The stuff in parenthesis is optional. Just be warned: if you don't include it we'll have someone else make it up for you. Anything other than legendaries is totally open. You can have your own original pokemon, evolution chains, alternate evolutions, heck even go into 4th evolutions if you can think up something original to tack onto an existing 3 evo chain. Go for it. Anyway, this would end September 21st, 2007, or when we have 111 from you guys. ____________________________ * If anything posted is reminiscent of this: it probably comes from the lands of Suedom. Not to worry, the dark dragon of destruction can be cleaned up very easily. A little tweaking with the whole invincibility thing and giving the poor dragon a body shape that doesn't belong to a previous pokemon and bam! it'd be a perfectly acceptable pokemon. Entries: 22/111

I have over fifty in the process of the nitty-gritty design work...? I can post as many of 'em as you want, though I probably WON'T let all of them be used here. If people like the Pokemon I post, I MIGHT let ten or twenty of them (total) go up. And the number may fluctuate depending on whether or not people like baki... But then again, baki are pretty much my attempt at making eevee not the piece of trash it is...gawd, I hate that thing! _________________________________________________________________ Name: Baki Type: Normal Description: A small fox-like Pokemon about a quarter of a meter tall and a half a meter long (including the tail). They have tan-creamy fur, with dark brown points on the ears, tail, paws, and nose (I missed this in the picture). They also have green irises and yellow...whites...erm...ciliary body? I should have paid more attention in bio. They have bushy tails, and...um...very large ears and small mouths. Yeah...don't care much...they're eevee clones, they don't have to be good! Picture: (I don't remember if this is accurate, but I think it gives the general sense) i194.photobucket.com/albums/z19/nyaa_neko/Baki_BG.jpgPokedex Data: The starter. They come from eggs, and are one of the few Pokemon to be able to lay more than one egg at once, especially as the breeders mature and get used to egg bearing. They have a wide range of temperaments, and can sometimes learn attacks that only their future evolution can learn. Stage: 1 Evolution Pattern: Baki --> Stage 2 (one of seventeen possible outcomes) Evolution Method: Depends on many factors, most of which are just guesses. People think that it has to do partly with genetics, partly with personality, partly with environment (so like, you won't have one evolving into an ice-type in a tropical environment), and partly with unknown reasons. Special Ability: Run Away (I honestly couldn't think or care of a better one...) Movesets: I'll put it later... Stat Ratios: Um...dunno...equal, but bad...? _________________________________________________________________ I'm gonna post more for the sake of posting more, but since I get final say on all the new Pokemon for the routes of Jenta...um...this is more for feedback. Don't expect them (ESPECIALLY NOT THE ONES I DON'T LIKE) to actually go up as wild Pokemon... ALSO! If the fanmades become wild Pokemon, I'll probably use them as replacements, not just add 'em...probably...eh...dunno...*is so burnt-out and female-doggish right now*

Please note... this was my first... and so far only attempt at creating a fan made Pokemon, unsure of how Mary-sue it is or what-not... but... hey, I have it, so why not... Also... it is a dragon type.
Pokemon: Drakco Hieght: 3 feet, 5 inches weight 50 lbs Describtion: Walks on it's two hind feet, it's scales are yellow except for it's belly scales are a pale cream color. it's head has a long snout for it's body, with the jaw full of sharp teeth. it also has two small bony horns on the top of its head. the eyes are normaly yellow in color with black puples, they are set on the front of the face of Drakco, slightly above the snout as well as a little to each side, kind of like human eyes in location. On it's back are two small wings that can barly hold the weight of the Pokemon. Able to sustain small short fly times.
Pokedex data: The baby Dragon Pokemon. Although looks cute, it's fangs can pierce rocks with ease.
Special Attack: Whatever is cute and makes the Pokemon less able to attack? Unsure if there is something like that... other then the move Charm.
(Stats? Okay... HELP HERE)
Attacks
00 Tail Whip 00 Tackle 10 Sand Attack 12 Slash 16 Gust 18 Leer 20 Skull Bash 22 Bite 25 Bulk Up 30 Metal Claw 35 Tri Attack

It's not that Mary-Sueish. I think the moves might need some tweaking, but everything else seems good.
Stat ratio are how the stat relate. Like for yours, I would put:
Attack > Defence = Speed > Sp. Att. = Sp. Def
In words:
It's attack power is greater than it's defense which is equal to it's Speed which is greater than it's special attack which is greater than it's special defense.
Wordy, but this is how you who say it out. Anyway, that's my thought about it. You could make it so it defense was lower then all the rest of it stats, but that's not really dragon like in my opinion.
Your pokemon ability would probably be cute charm if it's that cute. ( Like skitty, jigglypuff, and Lopunny ) Can't think of any other one that would fit it.

Well, this Contest is long past it's due date, but I'm more interested in seeing the fan-mades than officially closing it, so, unless Nyaa says bye bye to the contest I'm officially throwing it wide open until 111 pokies are submitted. Well, I suppose Purr-chan could close it as well, but she hasn't been around much...
Name: Dirgegi (dirge-gi)
Type: Normal
Description: Dirgegi are dog pokemon with tan fur. They are short, squat, and have high curled tails. Baically they are corgis, or they were, but instead of flesh their faces are smooth masks of bone (unlike Cubone who have skulls, these are smooth single pieces of bone that comprise both face and lower jaw, rather like a sculpture of a dogs' face). Their ears perk up behind the termination point of the bone at the top, and their necks are real fur and flesh. They have normal tongues, and red glowing eyes.
Pokedex data: Dirgegis are thought to be dead spirits of pets, or children. They are very friendly by nature, and tend to act as people's consciences. They will attach themselves to the mentally unstable without prompting, but are perfectly happy to be caught and live with normal people, too. They are great therapy dogs.
Special Ability: Disturbingly Cute - a 30% percent chance of either infatuation, or flinching from fear accompanies this pokemon upon appearing from the pokeball.
Movesets: 00 Tackle 00 Growl 04 Astonish 07 Odor Sleuth 10 Bite 13 Pursuit 17 Lick 21 Hypnosis 25 Quick Attack 31 Confuse Ray 33 Destiny Bond 37 Curse 43 Crunch 45 Perish Song
Stat Ratios:
Attack = Defense > Speed = Special Att. = Special Def.
Evolves into Dirgend at level 20
Name: Dirgend
Type: Ghost
Description: When Dirgegi evolves it becomes tall, thin, and the curly little tail lowers itself. The fuzzy tan pelt changes to a smooth mottling of black, gray, and white, while the bone mask drops off to reveal a long muzzle, and white fur in a skeletal mask, not unlike the mark on Koffing's belly. This doggie is a fleet grayhound runner, with red glowing eyes and a wet black nose. Of these features only the nose and eyes are visible in early morning fog.
Pokedex data: The messengers of death is the old superstition attached to these speedy creatures. Dirgends were once believed to usher the souls of the lost into death, and warn those who needed a few minutes to say good bye. They are silent, quiet beasts, with a face lick for anyone who wants to cuddle them, and mournful expressions for those who don't. They seemingly vanish in fog or mist, whether by camouflage or ghostly abilities, it is unknown.
Special Ability: Invisibility - When mist is in effect target becomes almost intangible. Physical attacks will need to be aimed precisely at the face.
Movesets: 00 Tackle 00 Growl 04 Astonish 07 Odor Sleuth 10 Bite 13 Pursuit 17 Lick 20 Perish Song 25 Quick Attack 34 Faint Attack 39 Mist 42 Curse 46 Crunch 51 Extreme Speed
Stat Ratios:
Speed > Attack > Special Attack > Special Defense > Defense
Evolves into Dirgeim with a dawn stone
Name: Dirgeim (Dirge-im)
Type: Ghost/Dark (Perhaps only Dark, but I didn't want to be changing type with every evo)
Description: Dirgim are big, dark black with orange eye brows, and red eyes. There isn't much else discernible about them. Black smoke seeps from their fur, smelling of wet earth and cold air, so it's probably best that they have lots of room outdoors, unless you want your house to smell like a coffin. As dogs go, they might bear a passing resemblance to the bastard children of a boarder collie, a German shepherd, and an Irish wolf hound. In disposition they tend to be rough and fairly playful, although they make fierce guardians. These pokemon are not fond of traveling, preferring to stay in one place with the familiar surrounding them. They can settle for pretending that the same human counts as a place, but it really isn't the same.
Pokedex data:Dirgeim are said to haunt graveyards, and howl to call the dead home. Meeting with a wild one is considered bad, bad, bad luck. Never trust a black dog with orange eyebrows, as the saying goes. They aren't picky, morally, about who they attach themselves to, and have been the willing servants of bad people in the past. Trust is difficult to gain if these pokemon are caught in their final evolved form, but an automatic given if this pokemon has been raised from a Dirgegi. Never trade one, as they consider this a change not to be bourne with. Those who were traded in their pre-evolutions teeter from being wholely unmanageable to fairly reliable, if quirky, depending on how the receiving trainer has raised them.
Special Ability: Intimidate - Lowers attack of opponent upon release.
Movesets: 00 Tackle 00 Growl 04 Astonish 07 Odor Sleuth 10 Bite 13 Pursuit 17 Lick 20 Perish Song 27 Howl 34 Faint Attack 42 Mist 49 Crunch 58 Shadow Ball
Stat Ratios:
Attack = Defense > Special attack = Special defense > Speed

I want to see more fan made Pokemon, too; (And not just the one that pop into my head! >_<* ) Therefore, I want to see this place filled with all 111 Pokemon that this contest is suppose to bring.
I took down my first entry for a major overhaul. Each lizard shall be its own Pokemon instead of evolutions. (Or maybe I'll find a way to link them later...) The first one redone is right here.
Name: Sinfalisk ( Sin-fa-lisk )
Type: Normal / Ground
Description: Sinfalisk are slender lizard Pokemon that range from one to three meters. They have sails on their heard and course skin that can withstand stone shattering forces. Small teeth frame their mouths while and spade claws adorn their webbed feet. Two broad spikes emerge from their tail while fighting.
Pokedex data: Sinfalisk live in small communities together. They feed each other by trapping large creatures in sand pits and pit fall traps. They eat once every week, leaving the rest of the time to causing vary forms of mischief from pot holes to sinking buildings. They sometimes compete with each other to see who is the best trapper or mischief maker.
Special Ability: Arena Trap or Sand Veil
Sand Veil: Raises the Pokemon’s evasion during a sandstorm by one level. Arena Trap: The opponent cannot run nor switch. Flying-type Pokémon and Pokémon with the Levitate special ability are unaffected. If this Pokémon switches, the opponent is still trapped for that turn. The opponent may still switch by using Baton Pass.
Current Moveset: 00 - Scratch 00 - Harden 04 - Sand Attack 09 - Mud Shot 12 - Glare 17 - Fury Swipes 20 - Sand Tomb 25 - Dig 28 - Mud Bomb 33 - Sandstorm 36 - Stealth Rock 41 - Slash 44 - Stone Edge

This pokemon was created in my head because I wanted a toned down Darkrai. Also, it gave me a chance to create my new researchers in the Jenta regions.
Name: Demirai
Type: Ghost / Dark
Description: Demirai have slender dark blue human-shaped bodies with bright red eyes. They have Gengar's smile and Sableye's gems growing around their necks. They are classified as lesser legendary pokemon (like Absol).
Pokedex data: A research project pokemon that was discovered/created by the sciencist at Fernwood Tower. Demirai take over the shadows of their host, slowly draining their energy while they sleep by inducing nightmares. They need a host in order to survive in wild conditions; thus, they never kill their host. Fernwood Tower also discovered that a capture Demirai drains the power it needs from it's pokeball.
Fernwood Tower declared this pokemon a fail experiment with promising results. They got a pokemon that slightly looks like a Darkrai, but it had too much in common with it's parents. One major disappointment was that it retained the total moveset of gengar. Although Fernwood Tower scientists sees no more use with this pokemon, many trainers are interested in having this mini-legendary on their teams.
Comes from an Gengar (f) / Sableye (m) egg that was touch by three dusk stones.
Special Ability: Levitate: Damage dealing Ground-type moves have no effect on this Pokémon. Cannot be trapped by Arena Trap ability. Takes no damage from Spikes.
Moveset: -- Hypnosis -- Lick 05 Spite 08 Mean Look 12 Curse 15 Night Shade 19 Confuse Ray 22 Sucker Punch 25 Shadow Punch 28 Payback 33 Shadow Ball 39 Dream Eater 44 Dark Pulse 50 Destiny Bond 55 Nightmare

Name: Ziemtwill (Zye-em-twill) Type: Normal/Flying Description: A tiny, fragile creature that never reach more than a foot in height. They possess the body of a cat, with fur in either red or black; each Zimetwill also has a gem inlaid in their chest that is the alternate color of their fur. They have large pointed ears (used for flight) which are normally the size of their entire body, if not longer, and three, foot long whiskers that protrude from each cheek. Each pokemon has an upside-down silver crown that hovers centimeters from their face, covering both eyes. Ziemtwills all carry a golden box, which is covered with withered laurels. Pokedex data: Ziemtwills are extremely innocent creatures, who love shiny things. Always traveling in packs, Ziemtwills enjoy playing tricks on humans and taking part in all sorts of mischief. It is said that when one of these pokemon becomes extremely close to a human, (Special Ability:) Don't know if there's already something like this, but...Alchemy: A small chance to create a random item after every battle (item becomes more valuable based on trainer and pokemon's friendship.) (Movesets:)
00 Scratch 00 Screech 05 Charm 09 Fury Swipes 14 Wing Attack 19 Swift 22 Aerial Ace 26 Pay Day 34 Crush Claw 42 Present 46 Aero Blast 50 Sky Attack (Stat Ratios:) Sp. Defense>Attack>Sp. Attack>Defense
Evolves into Ziemdwillur at level 20
Name: Ziemdwillur (Zye-em-dwill-er) Type: Normal Description: Ziemdwillur are fat round cats, stuffed inside a golden treasure chest. As half of their body is sucked into the shining box, it is hard to tell their exact height. Their fur color and gem color remains the same as the Ziemtwill they evolved from, but their crown is an over-sized golden accessory, wrapped tightly around two ears that are like inflated balloons. Each pokemon carries a large scepter with a crown on top. Pokedex data: The Ziemdwillur is the evolved form of Ziemtwill. Although they have lost their ability to fly because of their greater girth, Ziemdwillur never leave their treasure chest, a magic box that can hover up to four feet off the ground. It is rumored that if the Ziemdwillur is in danger, the box will exude a mysterious black smoke. (Special Ability:) Levitate (Movesets:)
00 Scratch 00 Screech 05 Charm 09 Fury Swipes 14 Wing Attack 19 Swift 20 Rest 24 Dizzy Punch 27 Slack Off 31 Poison Gas 37 Thrash 44 Hyper Voice 50 Trump Card 57 Selfdestruct (Stat Ratios:) Sp. Defense=Sp. Attack>Defense>Attack
Name: Rilis Type: Grass Description: Rilis look like small flower bulbs, entirely closed up. Two stamens stick out, with small red orbs that act as eyes. Underneath the bulb is a set of thick leaves, which conceal a tiny pair of stubby legs. Long, limp arms covered in thorns are dragged behind the pokemon at all times, the limbs' origin hidden by the waist leaves. Rilis come in every color of the rainbow, and stand no taller than two feet. Pokedex data: Rilis absorb sunlight through their stamen eyes, which grow in size as more sunlight is taken in. It is said that in large groups of Rilis, the dominant male will steal away all the sunlight for himself, keeping it from both males and females, thereby feminizing the other males to keep them weak. (Special Ability:) Leaf Guard: Prevents status problems in sunny weather. (Movesets:)
00 Absorb 00 Growth 05 Bullet Seed 11 Vine Whip 16 Ingrain 23 Stun Spore 29 Spore 34 Leech Seed 43 Seed Bomb 47 Petal Dance 52 Solarbeam (Stat Ratios:) Sp.Attack>Sp.Defense>Defense>Attack
Evolves into Rilisnoon (day) or Midrilis (night) at level 25
Name: Rilisnoon Type: Grass/Fire Description: The Rilisnoon's height varies from three to six feet, and they come in as many colors as the Rilis. Unlike the Rilis, their bulb has begun to open (the bulb has separated slightly and the top of each petal has folded back), smoke spewing from it with flames somewhat visible within it. Their eye stamens are much later than that of the Rilis, each the size of a human head or larger. The large leaves below the bulb have grown to a thick patch of foliage, which is often held back like the trail of a cloak to reveal two sturdy, pawed legs. Its arms have shrunken into two thick, whip-like appendages. Pokedex data: The Rilisnoon is one of two possible evolutionary routes for the Rilis. Exposed to great amounts of sunlight as a Rilis, the Rilisnoon's stamen eyes are heavily engorged, storing massive amounts of solar energy that are translated into its stigma fire and its fire-based attacks. (Special Ability:) Flash Fire: Activates when user is hit by a damaging Fire-type move (including Fire-type Hidden Power). Once activated, user’s Fire-type moves deal 1.5 times damage. While this ability is in effect, this Pokémon is immune to damage from Fire-type attacks and Fire-type Hidden Power (accuracy and effect from these moves are ignored). For Fire-type Pokémon with this ability, Will-O-Wisp activates this ability without having an effect. If a non-Fire-type Pokémon has this ability, Will-O-Wisp will activate the ability and will have an effect. (Movesets:)
00 Absorb 00 Growth 05 Bullet Seed 11 Vine Whip 16 Ingrain 25 Ember 25 Sunny Day 33 Stun Spore 37 Flame Wheel 43 Giga Drain 48 Blaze Kick 53 Solarbeam 58 Power Whip (Stat Ratios:) Attack>Defense>Sp. Attack>Sp. Defense
Name: Midrilis Type: Grass/Psychic Description: Midrilis stand anywhere from two to four feet, and like the Rilis, come in many hues. Unlike their previous stage, these pokemon have lost their legs and the thick leaves that used hang from their body; their form of locomotion, while not considered levitation, involves gliding across terrain. Instead, their petals have wilted black and folded back to lay flat on the ground. The Midrilis' torso rises anywhere from one to two and a half foot from its base (and petals), a strong, but thin stem dotted with strange blossoms, from which long, thin arms sprout (each pokemon varies on the number of arms, but the general range is from four to eight.) Their faces are hidden by many multi-colored, magically suspended leaves that congregate around the top of the stem, two tiny crimson eyes (the shrunken stamen eyes) barely visible behind the foliage. Pokedex data: The Midrilis is one of two evolutionary routes for the Rilis. Having suffered from a lack of sunlight as a Rilis, the stamen eyes have shrunken, and hold little to no solar energy. Exposure to moonlight has uncovered strange psychic abilities deep within the pokemon's genes, allowing for psychokinetic and mental abilities. (Special Ability:) Magic Guard: Prevents all damage except from direct-attack moves. (Movesets:)
00 Absorb 00 Growth 05 Bullet Seed 11 Vine Whip 16 Ingrain 25 Kinesis 25 Barrier 33 Confusion 37 Psybeam 43 Reflect 48 Luster Purge 53 Psychic 58 Psycho Boost (Stat Ratios:) Sp. Attack>Sp. Defense>Defense>Attack
