Gabrielle and Tyson stood outside the Jenta Convention Center, waiting. They had an assignment they needed to fulfill as soon as possible, courtesy of the Jubilife City TV crew. They had their question prepared, bribes at the ready, and all they had to do was find a few Jenta trainers willing to give a few minutes of their time... "Excuse me, but would you like to participate in an interview? We would like you to give your opinions on Sinnoh - Jubilife City TV is doing a study on foreign opinions. Please give five or more sentences on your views of the region; you can say what you think about the Pokemon, the new items, the new evolutions, the region itself...we just want a review. If you wish to participate, you may pick a small, random prize from this box." ((So yeah... I want to know your opinions on Diamond and Pearl. Just say, either in-character or out-of-character, what you think. It must be five sentences or more - I don't want "omg i luv dp". I want a detailed opinion of WHAT you liked/didn't like about the games. If you don't have the games, you can mention the Pokemon or something...just make sure they are five GOOD sentences. You will get a randomly generated small prize from me. I'm seeing things like hold items, Pokeballs, healing items, money, rare candies, TMs...that sort of thing. You MAY get a Pokemon, but it would probably be unlikely. This giveaway will last awhile...probably...I don't have an end date in mind. So think up a review, and post your thoughts on why you love/hate/want to eat it!))

I'm too lazy to do an in character one, and Zach has no opinion on Sinnoh anyways (except that Shellos is adorable, but he won't admit it), so here we go.
First off, I want to eat it because Sinnoh tastes so good! Honestly, have you ever tried a bite of it? It's delicious.
Okay, serious now.
I love all the extra things you can do, like dressing up your pokemon, collecting seals, digging in the underground, upgrading your poketech...You get the idea. I also like the way they made Sinnoh such an enviormentally diverse place, what with sea, forest, rainy, blizzard...And mountain. Unfortuantly, for all the diversity of the enviorment, it seems like they chose a few types of pokemon and concentrated on them. Sinnoh is over-run with water-types, for example, but it has very few fire types. The ponyta line, the chimchar line...and what else?
Plus, you get to flip a coin. I mean, no game can ever beat the ability to flip a little magikarp coin. Never.

((I figure I'll do either an IC/OOC post to match what the person participating did...
Very nice, I have a response! >:3 Anyway, I agree with ya a lot there, Lee. I think they either did a horrible job doing a design spread when making the new Pokemon, or they did a horrible job choosing which of the old Pokemon should appear before the National Dex is acquired.
And Lee...the ponyta line IS the wild fire line. There is no other...you can't even catch magby before you get the National Dex. Oh, and you can't get around it by using eevee/flareon...eevee is post-National Dex, too. Baaaaaaad planning on their part.
So Zach gets...2500 pyen! Yayz for moneys...

Jason stopped. "I've only been to Sinnoh one but I'll tell you how I feel about it. Sinnoh is so awesome. The pokemon are adorable and diverse. The terrian beautiful. I like how the gyms are all designed. I just love it. It would be better if it had its own expansion to it. You know live the Sevii Islands in Kanto! Then it would look better." he said calmly.

William walked around the streets. He was getting ready for his Gym battle soon, and he wanted to be ready.
He blinked at looked at the reporters who asked him his question.
"I have only just recently learned about it, as of yet, I have only rumors and other people's say on it. As for me... I cannot tell unless I visit it, but I do plan to visit it when I get enough money for a ship ticket, Then I can tell you, but that I want to go visit the place says that I am really interested in seeing this new land and their new Pokmeon."

Gabrielle smiled while Tyson filmed the two boys' responses. "Thank you for your opinions," she chirped as she reached into the box. "Here, I have something for each of you as thanks..." With that, she handed two rare candies to Jason and then one revive and one potion to William. ((I'd expect that for William's battle, one more of his Pokemon would either faint or get subbed out...you can use the revive to avoid godmoding or whatever. ))

Terra scratched behind her head in awkwardness and gave a sheepish smile. " Um, I don't really know much about the region... " muttered Terra as she looked towards the ground, " but I do know lots about the pokemon found there! They're very common from where I came from. " Terra said, now cheerfully. Her head raised towards the reporters.
" Well, the pokemon found in Sonnoh are quite limited. Most of them are evolutions and pre-evolutions of the pokemon found in other regions. Hmm...The one's found there aren't really that different from the previous one. All of them have a smilliarity...But yeah, some are really nice and helpful. " Terra said smilling at her Chingling who was cocking it's head to one side and examining the camera from Terra's grasp.
Blue and Happy were playing tag behind Terra, circling Pyro, who looked like he was about to explode any minute. " What else?...Um, the starters are quite unique. I espically like the water one. It's last evolution is quite unique. The grass and fire are also good but they're kind of simillar to the other starters. " she said and then paused for a while. " Well, I want to visist Sinnoh someday. That's all. Thank you for taking your time to interview me. " Terra said with a bow.

I have many thoughts about the new Diamond and Pearl games... First off, the starters were (in my opinion) fantastic looking - Although I did not like how my turtwig (grass starter) evolved into a grass and ground type. Sure, it gave itself some electrical resistance, but it lost some of it's water advantages, and instead of taking half damage from water attacks it now takes normal damage. I was also hoping to get an eevee fairly early in the game since theyre fairly common, but I was frusterated when I found outt hat I needed to complete the pokedex first. Fortunately, all I had to do was see every pokemon, not catch them, which made it a whole lot easier. I dislike how I have to keep going on Serebii to find out which nature I want my pokemon to be, and having to breed the pokemon until I get the certain nature and gender that I want. The graphics are much better then the other game's graphics, and the new moves and pokemon are cool too. Its great that I can now transfer my Sableye from my Emerald version onto my Pearl game. I'm having trouble with the whole 'friend code' thing... I need it to put some pokemon up for trade around the world. The battle tower isnt that great either, since most of the items are very expensive and cost a lot of points, and seven in a row battles only gets me 3 points. It costs I think it was 48 battle points for one rare candy... I think thats a rip off. I shouldnt have to battle over a hundred battles just to get a rare candy there.

Ok I don't have pokemon Diamond and pearl yet but I am getting it..... but I want to say MY opinon on what I've learnt about it so far....
First off when I learned abotu the starters I wasn't too pleased. Especially when I found out their evolved forms. But I was glad that they were new types of pokemon. I read Lee's opinion on that you get to dress up your pokemon and I thought that soudned awesome. Plus, the new pokemon in this game I love the most are the Leafeon, Pachirisu, (they're soooooooooooooooooooo cute!) and glacia. Also the thing abotu the game and pokemon being affected by the DS's time is totally awesome. And jsut seeing the pokemon which enters the code makes it easier but a bit more boring. But then again you won't have to go back each time to catch the pokemon to get it's data! ^^ The thing abotu Resha saying that you only get 3 points for doing 7 battles in a row is totally stupid. And 48 battle points just for one rare candy?! I'd rather raise my pokemon's level myself then battling hundereds of times to get 48 points and buy 1 rare candy.

Meh, I'm not looking for anything, I just want to pitch in my two cents.
Over all I'm pleased with the new generation. As I've said in other threads, I love how it's far more plot oriented than most of the others (minus GSC). It's really fun trying to figure out what will happen next, and discovering the secrets concealed by the Sinnoh region. The characterization is also well beyond the other three generations, except for GSC. However, the extra human characters that you get to know and enjoy almost make it better than the GSC's rival, who is in a class of his own as the only character in any game that has gone through a personality change. I'm fond of Prof. Rowan, Lucas and my "rival." Not to mention my mom got to get out of her house for a minute when I went to the contest hall.
Switching from story telling over to game play, I'm really pleased with the fact that battling and training has taken the fore over catching pokemon. The game is obviously geared to raising levels and getting better moves than the other games, as they have spots where trainers will appear every day (I'm in love with the restaurant of double battles. It's just so fun) to basically give you free experience.
I'm also overly fond of the underground. It's great that there is a place you can go to get anything from revives to elemental stone (I've got 13 water stones with me and I have no idea what to do with them). The spheres as currency take a while getting used to, but I really like them. The only problem is that you can only plant 100 before they start disappearing, so I have to ration my sphere intake, but it's all good.
Like Lee, I'm really fascinated by the contests. It adds a whole dimension and it's actually much harder than training. I don't really like the dress up portion, if only because the dress up stuff is so lacking, and I stink at the dance portion. I don't really have the reflexes for it. But it is still a very fun side quest, and when I get better accessories I think I'll stand a better chance.
I'm also much more pro-poketch than I thought I would be. I was thinking that it would just be a stupid gimicky thing to fill the bottom of the DS screen, but the applications are actually really useful. I find the step counter is one of the best apps, as it tells me when I can use my VS. Seeker if I pay attention (100 steps per VS. Seeker use). That and the item finder radar is just lovely.
This isn't saying that I don't have a few problems with the games. The lack of about 110 new pokemon that we're owed from both Ruby/Sapphire and DP is highly annoying. I miss GSC when we had a full compliment of 150 new ones per game. Personally, I wouldn't have minded waiting the extra year, or whatever it would have taken, to have those 111 that we got cheated out of.
I'm also getting the feeling that there is nothing after you beat the elites. You don't get a curtain call, and you don't get to travel to the other regions, which is a major selling point with me. I would love to wander around Kanto/Johto/Hoenn with my Sinnoh pokemon.
Finally, the graphics, although absolutely stunning while you're sitting still, jitter when you walk, and this really bugs me. It feels as if the graphics people spent a really long job on certain aspects (the gyms are utterly drool worthy) but then rushed to finish everything else.
However, over all, I'm satisfied and impressed by a game that I had really low expectations for. My favorite aspect, though, has to be the yodel-esque entrance music for hikers when they chanllenge you to battle. It just makes me grin when I hear it.

Gabrielle nodded. "Thanks for your opinion," she told Terra, reaching into the box. She pulled out a few items, and gave Terra one rare candy and one dusk ball.
((Now for the OOC comments...
Resha gets 2500 pyen.
Emma gets two rare candies. (Sophie's character...)
Tommy gets one revive and 1000 pyen. (Mori-chan's character...)

Xela paused a moment, deciding whether or not to join in on the interview. "Well I suppose I will..." she started. "I grew up in Sinnoh, so my opinions may be biased, but I rather like the region. As a child, I loved being around the starter Pokemon of Sinnoh, mainly Piplup and it's evolutions. Other than that, I like the diversity of terrains and weather in the region. It was quite fun traveling from a stormy area, to a cave, and then off to a rather blizzard-bound area. I really only didn't like that there was, and still is, a lack of Fire Pokemon in the region. I also missed out on being able to train an Eevee, as I never ran across any of them while there, and I couldn't find many Dragon Pokemon either, such as Bagon. Also, I was never able to enter the Pal Park..." The trainer paused for a moment, surprised to find so much that she disliked about her home region. "Well that's pretty much all I have to say about Sinnoh, and in retrospect... I think my views on the region weren't really that biased..." As she said her last sentence she gave a shrug.

Gabrielle nodded, taking something out of the box and giving it to Xela. "Many people share your opinions on the 'Sinnoh Dex' Pokemon. Thank you for participating!" Xela received 1000 pyen, one dusk ball, and one rare candy.
((Graaagh! I know! I really didn't like the lack of fire Pokemon. Couldn't they have put in, like, one more fire line? And sheesh! The Sinnoh Dex was horrible - how come like, half the new ones weren't in it? That seemed sorta counterproductive...but yeah, I really liked the new terrains, too. ^_^;; ))

Blue Paused, as she heard the Question. "Well. I Did Love being able to Customize My Pokeballs, And The New Dex isn't Half Bad. And I Hated Trying to find my Way up Mount Coronet. The Environment was Fun, Sure, But The Fog is Some Places is so Bad, It's Said you need a pokemon just to get through."
((Which it Did, And Wasted a Perfectly good Move for My Bird Pokemon....))
She Paused and Continued, "I Do Love the Starter Choice over there, All though, I Love Jenta's Bigger selection... But the Professor Has a Bit of a Cold Shoulder Over there-Wouldn't You Say? And the Underground.... I Love the Flag Hunting. It's Some Much fun to find your Friend's Base, Steal their Flag and run away to your Own Base. Only Problem was they'd follow you and Try and get their Flag back, or steal your Flag in the prosess.... "
Another Pause, and then She said, "And the Gyms... Creative, But.. How are we Suposed to Defeat a Grass Gym with out a Fire Type? Shesh.... And.. That's Pretty Much my Thoughts about Sinnoh."
(XD Dang. That twas Long.)
