Just a thread for fun...anyways, aren't trainer cards fun to make? Either from your own hard work, from a nice custom card-maker, or from an automated card program, they're a lot of fun to think up and show off. So why not have a place where we can explain them?
Oh, and if you can't make them yourself or don't have one somebody made for you:
www.pokecharms.com/ has a wonderful trainer card maker. You can go here to find it: www.pokecharms.com/trainercards/ or you can browse around the site to get it. However, they've had some bandwith problems in the past with hosting all the trainer cards, so while you CAN just use the image code they provide, it would be nice if you could host them yourself. I use www.photobucket.com/ to host my images, since I signed up, but if you don't want to sign up, you can use www.tinypic.com/ for quick image hosting.
I think I'll start it all off with this one I just made:
This is my progress in Pearl at this point. Technically, that last spot is filled with a bronzor (level 17), but I've only had it a tinytiny bit of time, and I just got a shieldon (level 20)...about to get another (level 20), in fact...and it's very tempting! So I'm not really sure...anyway!
My name is Tira there, and I basically went with a nonsensical name that started with "t". I really had no clue what to do for the naming theme this time...and it sounded good at the time...
--> Moferno (m) (Turo): My starter! I chose him because I like to match the type of my starter with the color of the game (so for Diamond, I chose pocchama/piplup). He was my only Pokemon for awhile...but hey, he did the job, though it was a little tough when it was him VS the entire Oreburgh City gym.
--> Pachirisu (m) (Tir): Caught while I was hunting for a shellos (I'd accidentally knocked out the first one, and all I ran into were buizel for the longest time). It kind of annoys me that pachirisu have such low stats, but he's grown on me. Plus, it seemed like a good idea to get an electric-type Pokemon, he was cute, and I already had a shinx/korinku on Diamond. So far, he's worked pretty well, I think, especially since he learned Spark!
--> Shellos (f) (Tashi): I already knew I would catch one ever since I saw one on Diamond, but since I already had a full-and-loveable team, I just didn't have room. It was one of two Pokemon I saw on Diamond I'd never seen before AT ALL, and I really liked it...so I caught one. I like her - she works really well, and water/ground is always a nice combination. However, I really like the blue ones better...oh well...Turo, Tir, and Tachi were a nice three-Pokemon team for a little while. They're my loveable trio!
--> Buneary (f) (Tary): I had no idea these were in Eterna Forest at night - but she just sort of popped up, and I really like buneary and lopunny...I was originally going to give this slot to a glameow/purugly, but I guess not! Anyway, I haven't used her much (just got her level up to the rest of my team), but she's cute.
--> Drifloon (f) (Tuwa): Another one I decided I would catch before I started playing. I remember seeing a brief snippet of a drifblim, and really wanting it...and I think drifloon are so cute! But I defeated Team Galactic on a Friday (sooo annoying), and ended up waiting for three weeks until I ran back to that area to catch her. I hadn't beaten the Eterna gym yet, though, so it was a pain going back through the forest; however, it was so worth it. Oh, and she was already at the level of the rest of my team, so no training there!
--> Empty slot that really should go to Tzou the bronzor...but Tiel the level 20 shieldon is so tempting! Less training...
So, what are your trainer cards like? They don't have to be traditional cards either - banners or differently-looking cards work, too, as long as you have an explanation. Oh, and your explanations don't have to be as wordy as mine - I'm just a very wordy person.
