The trees around Miteinjan rustled, their paper braids glistening from under the early morning dew.
They were waiting for some wishes...
((Yeah. Same deal as the Well, though I'm not bothering with a date. I'll just wait for a few wishes, then pick one.))

J.R. walked into the area, looking around, at one point even walking backwards to look at the path behind him. "I entered Professor Kauri's shack... And now I'm here. Friggin' evil portals," he commented as he walked backwards.
No sooner did he finish speaking than he felt something behind him. He immediately spun around, striking an offensive pose. Upon seeing it was a tree, he lowered his hands and gave a slightly embarrassed chuckle. "Just a tree... I knew that..."
He took note of a sign beside him. "Wishing Trees..." he read aloud "Make a wish and get off m'dang property..."
He grinned and pulled a pen out from his pocket, writing down his wish for an Abra on one of the braids. He then took his leave, going back the way he came. "Weird... But cool. I can see what Law was complaining about though, this could get annoying." With that, he was gone.

Carra limped up to the a tree that twisted up from the ground of Fog Path. Behind her Morath trotted, still growling. Tears of pain threatened the corners of Carra's eyes, and she juggled a blotchy egg, twice as long as it was round. She leaned against a tree, sobbing slightly, as blood soaked into one of her stripey socks.
Carefully she hung her back sack on a tree branch, before fishing around inside it for a pencil, and some paper. She wrote very small, to leave enough room on the paper for everything that she really really wanted. This tree looked like one of the trees that you often found in the shrines in the rural towns. Carra remembered a feild trip to Lavender town and having tied a wish to the shrine bush that that the fortune she had recently received would change. Saffron City's shrine -- just behind Sabrina's gym -- still wasn't visited by many other people than the psychics that Sabrina collected and trained in her gym.
"Okay," Carra breathed out, as she began to tie the fortune onto the tree. "I realize that I have been woefully unprepared for my journey. That was my fault. But I didn't think I'd get an agressive, evil minded--," Morath growled at the description, "well you are -- dragon as my starter. Now, please, please, I need my fortune to change around. Perhaps I could run into someone selling bandages or a first aid kit -- or something. And I need a rain coat. And a sweatshirt. And pants that aren't denim. But I really am going to need them before I get too far along -- so if you could set the opportunities in my path that would be great."

Spotting the strange tree perched on the hill, Charity rushed to it, finding the leaves a little bit off from where she was. Arriving under the...paper braids, the trainer took note of the writing on them. The paper was weird enough, but the various scribbles made the tree a regular oddity. Reading the many braids, she found there to be wishes written all over.
Hmmm...what should I wish for...?
Thinking hard on what to wish for, Charity looked at the pokeball now on her belt. The girl was sure that a small pokemon like a sunkern would evolve into something, but she didn't know how. Maybe it would need a stone. A sun stone was probably what a sunkern would need. Digging in her bag for something to write with, Charity was poked by a loose pencil.
"Ouch! Well, I found one!", she exclaimed, whipping out the writing utensil, and picking the longest braid she could find. "I wish for a sun stone, so my adorable little...Hope...can grow up to be an equally cute flower...", Charity muttered as she wrote, finding it weird that the tree would know her sunkern's name before the pokemon did. Signing her name at the bottom, Charity dropped the pencil back into her bag, skipping off down the hill.

Sasha fluttered into the place with trees and looked about, wondering. "Trees..... wow(!)" Sasha said as she walked around the trees, looking at them. Then something caught her eye. A sign on the other side of the place of trees. Sasha ran over to it and it read in black capital letters; 'WISHING TREES!' Underneath it said, in smaller words, 'Magical trees which grew on my property! I'm allowing you to make a wish but afterwards get off or I'll release the houndhours and houndooms and mightyena on you! I'm watching right as you read this though you can't see me I can see you!' Emma finished reading it in her head and took a step back. Then she walked into the center of the trees and grinned. "Awesome!" She yelled and started laughing hysterically. 1 minute later Sasha managed to stop laughing and plucked out a pen and notebook. She wrote down 'I wish for a milktank' on some paper and stuck it on one of the braids. Then, with quickness, Sasha said under her breath, "I hope my wish comes true." And with that, she was gone.

The braids rustled in the breeze, causing them to blow off. Before they were scheduled to be replaced, a few items found new owners.
A yellow raincoat, a first aid kit in a neat blue box, and an old grey sweatshirt were bundled up into a plastic bag. They were to go to somebody who needed them, along with many other plastic bags filled with things - the former owners didn't need them anymore, and giving it all away was an easy way to rid themselves of all of it. They didn't notice that one bag, though, as it fell off the stantler-drawn cart when they hit a bump on Fog Path. It rolled to land right in front of Carra.
Meanwhile, a wingull, practicing a water gun attack, unearthed a shiny sun stone near where Charity would walk, only five minutes later. The wingull, however, lost interest, and flew off before Charity reached the site of the stone.
((So Charity gets a sun stone. Thank y'all for wishing!))
