I want to know, from the active members, if I should return the "Users Online in the last 24 Hours" to the main site. I have hidden it out of nervousness over privacy of our users. It's not always in the best interests of people that their movements in a forum are displayed to anyone who happens to pop by.
On the other hand, having the list of people who have been online recently does help send a message that the site is indeed active. Which, considering the number of Pokemon RP sites that seem to have gone under, is useful.
Any thoughts or opinions on the matter? If no one has an opinion, I guess not everyone feels as strongly about privacy as I do, and I'll stop being paranoid, and just put the list of recent users back up.

I don't really see any need of being paranoid about it, MF. ): I'd actually would want to check out what the members are doing. Because most of the time, you get to check out the other cool threads that the other members are looking at that you missed out on.
If members really don't want anyone to know that they're online or w/em they can just appear as invisible and lurk and stuff.

I really didn't like the 24 hour thing if it's an active site. Just because it confuses me and I keep thinking the members are ON xP But, if it's not an active site, I can tell the difference...
I could always just cover it up myself. I never thought of it as a privacy thing. Like SIghduck said, just turn yourself invisible if you think it's being a bit too... what's the word?

I didn't even realize it was a problem. Although it would prolly show how often I lurk around here at inhospitable hours of the day. Jaaa ne?

I think the word is invasive. Meh. I'll put it back up for now, seeing as no one seems to care. If it gets distracting or invasive, I'll take it down, again. Thanks for the input.
