"Ruby, use ember again!" Rain commands, and as the attack gets closer, Ruby lets out a fury of fire.
(Another bad move is close combat.)

((Wait...did your bagon get hit? I couldn't tell...you said she attacked just as Mawile was getting close, meaning that she would still be hit with the brunt of the attack, just simultaneously with her opponent. I think.))

(Yeah.)

The steel-type winced, but pulled her fake jaws underneath the bulk of the flames. She then Faint Attack-ed over to Ruby's stomach, and clamped her jaws down on the weaker part of the bagon, ignoring the burn on top of her real head.

Ruby tried using another ember attack to get free.

The Mawile cried a little from the heat, but just did another close-range Faint Attack minus the power it took to "teleport", making it twice as powerful (AKA Critical Hit).
She was beginning to feel a bit dizzy, though...
"<Mawile are kind of annoying,>" Rain's geodude-guide muttered. "<Geodude are so much better.>"

"That's obvious," Rain says as Ruby seems a little tired too, but puts enough power behind one last ditch attempt at using ember on the Mawile.
(Seriously, why does Rain always attract the weird pokemon?)

The last-ditch attempt must have been enough, because the Mawile keeled over. However, her jaws were still clamped tightly around Ruby, and probably still doing damage.
Rain's Pokedex beeped. It indicated that a level 29 bagon had just defeated a level 25 mawile, and received 1/4 a level for it. So, in case Rain was some stupid elementary-school-dropout ten-year-old, that meant she was a level 29 1/4 bagon, and she should really go back to school if she didn't know that.
Geodude glanced at the frozen-in-unconsciousness Mawile, and snickered at the clamped jaws. "<Have fun getting her off your bagon before your bagon is knocked out.>"
((That would be strange...being knocked out by your unconscious opponent. YOU SHOULD DO IT BECAUSE IT WOULD BE FUNNY! X3 If you do, a Max Revive will magically appear...*pokes Ruin* Do it! Do it! Do it! XD ))

(If your lying, I'm calling the Red Army in.)
Rain fumbles around in her backpack, however something seems to have happened to her healing items, and Ruby falls unconsious. "Well, might as well at least get her out," Rain mumbles, and pries the Mawile's fake jaws open, and pulls Ruby out.

((I wasn't lying...I just wanted to have you have your bagon get knocked out by her already-unconscious opponent without actually causing you any trouble...T_T ))
Suddenly, a Revive magically appeared in Rain's backpack. The Geodude blinked, a little confused. "<That was...weird. Maybe we have an altruistic beldum nearby?>" He mused, amused. "<Beldum usually don't live far away from the center...unless that was some sort of Ame magic, that is a good sign.>"
At Rain's confused glance, he laughed. "<Ame is an urban legend. Whenever something strange happens, we always say it's "Ame magic." Ame doesn't really exist...that would be too strange. Even for Jenta.>"
((And this was how I became an urban legend. X3 ))

(Hey, you said Max Revive!)
Rain shrugs, and applies the Revive to Ruby, who wakes with a start. "Well, whatever made that happen, thanks," she says, and stands up with Ruby on her shoulder again. "Well, lets get moving."
(Of course, once Ruby evolves, she'll probably go back into the pokeball.)

((Whoops. Well, you know what I mean, and they did the same thing, didn't they? ^_^;; And Ruby'll have to once she reaches level 30 anyway, since she can't gain anymore levels until you have the Peony Badge. And wow...seriously, I wonder why you're the only smart one around here? *sigh* Aside from Mori-chan, that is. People should take advantage of being able to be in a maximum of five battling-places at once! You can train all three groups, and make your route threads really short! As well as catch good Pokemon! LIKE FOR THE GYMS! >_<;;;
I think that I'll change the Altering Mansion to have at least one fighting-type-move-knower so all the Arisa-challengers will have an easier time than you and FM did. ^_^;; ))
The Geodude nodded, and bounced/rolled/awkwardly slid ahead of Rain for aways. They continued for over ten minutes along a straight path, once they took the other route in the fork that brought them to a dead end, that is. The rock-type even began to get a little bored before he heard another rumbling.
A loud rumbling.
He looked up excitedly at Rain. "<That onix was really close! We must be getting a lot closer to the center of the maze!>"
So they continued onward until they reached not a two-way, not a three-way, but a four-way fork. Geodude clapped his stoney hands together. "<This is really good...the forks get a lot more complicated nearer to the middle. I think we may be half-way or more! This is great...anyway.>" He cleared his throat, and looked up at Rain in a businesslike manner. "<You have four choices, obviously. One goes straight, and looks pretty level to me. Another, the one that's directly to the left of the straight one, goes left and up. The one to the far left takes a sharp left turn at a level elevation, but I can't see if it goes down or up after that. The final choice, which goes right, definitely goes down, and pretty steeply, too. So, then, which'll it be?>"
((Wait...so how many pages is this now? ^_^;; ))

(6.)
"Lets try, to the right," Rain says, and gets an idea, taking something out of her bag, she places a small post-ed note on the entrance to the path they came from, and the path to the right. "In case we have to go back more than once," she says with a shrug.

"<Good idea,>" mumbled the Geodude as his face was muffled by the rock below. He rolled ahead of Rain for another long burst of time before they reached a two-way fork. "<It's a basic right-or-left,>" he noted. "<Both of them go down, and they seem to even go down at the same angle.>"

They walked/rolled/etc. down the tunnel for awhile before a rock moved.
"<Another geodude!>" Exclaimed Rain's guide-geodude.
The opposing rock-type rolled out, and headed straight for Ruby (after Rain's guide rolled out of the way).

The rock-type was thrown against the wall, and she grunted in response. She then rolled forward, slamming into Ruby with a terrifying force...also-known-as Tackle.
Rain's guide shook his head/body. "<Doesn't she know she has better moves?>"

(I just got the craziest idea.)
Rain shrugs, and Ruby takes the attack, only to retaliate with Rage, using her head, both figuratively and literaly.
(Bagon's are known to break rocks with their hard heads, so I thought I'd test a theory on rock pokemon.)

The geodude rolled backwards into the wall again, but while she was a lot more dizzy than she had been before she met Ruby, she wasn't out of the battle yet. She rolled forward for another Tackle, bouncing at an angle from behind the not-really-all-that-small dragon.
