(Hey, I gotta catch 'em all, if some of them have to be male, so be it, I feel so cliched.)
"Umm," Rain thinks for a moment. "How about, left."

"<Okay, then!>" The Geodude grinned, and hopped in that direction, waiting for Rain to follow. Almost immediately the tunnel made a sharp turn left...and ended in a dead end. "<Too bad...oh, wait!>" The rock-type rolled forward, and picked up a small Oran Berry. "<Here you go,>" he said as he handed it to Rain. "<I guess this way wasn't all for nothing, huh?>"
He then led Rain back to the fork, and turned to her again. "<I guess left is now out of the question...so how about it? Right or forward?>"

"Lets try, forward," Rain says, shrugging the dead end off, it was a maze, there had to be some here and there, and she pockets the Oran Berry.

((Oh, and Ruin...since you did catch that Aron, could you please update your profile with it's stats? I need to keep track of your Pokemon, like if they gain levels and such. ^_^; ) Almost immediately, a Mawile hopped over to them. She had a grin on her true face, although her fake face still bore the same intimidating, toothy glare. "<Hi there! Are you a trainer?>" She chirped. The Geodude guide grinned at Rain. "<You don't see many of them this close to any of the entrances-this is good! It means we're getting close to the center of the maze!>" The Mawile paused, then giggled. "<Maybe. Or I could just be lost! I get lost a lot! Hahah!>"

"Or you could be lying to throw us off course," Rain points out.

The Mawile giggled. "<That would be mean!>"
Rain's guide rolled his eyes. "<That seems suspicious, don't you think?>"
"<I'm not acting suspicious!>" The steel-type whined, pouting.
"<You just did.>"
"<NUUU! I'm not a mean Mawile!>" She cried, smacking the Geodude lightly on the head.

Rain just watches with an amused smile, which is actually kind of rare for her..

The Geodude eventually shook his head (rather, his whole body), and glared at the young Mawile...who had been conveniently blocking the exit. "<If you aren't going to do anything productive, little girl, then let us through. I have a job to do, guiding this young lady through the maze.>"
The Mawile giggled. "<Let you through? Aw, but that would be no fun!>" She giggled again, looking sweetly up at Rain. "<We're having a good time, right? You don't want to fight, huh?>" Her smile turned a bit evil for a moment, and her fake mouth snapped its jaws.

And yet another reason why Mawile creep me out, Rain thinks. "Well, I don't want to battle unless you do..."

"<Well, I can't very well let you continue on! We're supposed to keep you from getting to the prize too easily!>" She replied, giggling. "<So let's have at it! Unless you're afraid...>" The Mawile giggled again, this time in a more mocking tone.
The Geodude looked towards Ruin. "<I'd suggest you fight her. The Mawile here can spread rumors and gossip quicker than you may think...if you don't fight her, she'd probably have the entire population laughing at and mocking you.>"

"Been there, done that," Rain says, grabbing a pokeball. "Go, Ruby!" She says, and lets out her Bagon.

The female mawile grinned with both sets of jaws. Obviously she wasn't affriad of the dragon type. She even skipped from one side to the other, her skirt-like coverings clinking when they hit, as if anyone needed to be reminded of her steel nature.
<Careful,> the geodude muttered to Rain. <She looks as if she's going to use a dark attack.>
<Cute, pretty, sparkly Ruby, shining in the sun,> she sang, sweet voiced. <But it's dark down here, and scary, why don't you RUN!>
She faded out of existance in the gloomy maze. The walls echoed with her laughter, and then The mawile leapt from a shadow, and cannoned into Ruby using a faint attack.

"<I'm not scared of the dark...>" Ruby mutters.
"Now, use Psychic!" Rain commands, as the Mawhile comes into view, Ruby blasts her with psychic energy.

The steel type was lifted and thrown into a hard wall, but she just jumped down laughing. <That tickled! Stop.>
She danced over to the opposite wall, and grinned again. <Ruby, Ruby, quite a looby, what does your trainer know? Ask her why your levels don't seem to grow!>
The mawile faded out of existance again, and thenappreaded right before Ruby's eyes, and kicked upward viciously.

But Ruby is no longer there, in her place is Rain's Torchic Hera, who blasts the steel type with her ember attack. "I may not be able to level up right now, but I do know my type match-ups."

((Er, Ruin, this mawile is level 26, in accordance with the rule that she is one or two levels higher than the pokemon you are using (which was Ruby). Those embers aren't really going to hurt her. Doesn't Ruby know any other moves than psychic? If Hera takes more than two or three attacks from a pokemon of such a high level she'll be fainted))
The mawile jumped back with surpising agility, and brushed soot off a suddenly very shiny piece of her body where all texture had melted away. <That stung, I'll admit, but seriously, what level is your Torchic? Two? I barely felt that. Please switch to a pokemon I won't completely mash in two moves. This is insulting.>

(D'OH!)
Rain, being embarassed, switches back with Ruby. "Sorry, sorry," she says, and thinks for a second. "Use psychic again."
(Sorry about this, force of habit, won't happen again. I didn't even need to, Ruby is level 25, she knows ember anyway.)

((Nothing to be sorry about. It's an easy mistake to make with the grouping system.))
The mawile yawned, even as she was dashed against the wall. <What's the point, Ruby? The instructions Rain gives are loopy,> she chanted, turning cartwheels just from spite. <You can't hurt me, Why not just knock yourself out against a tree?>
She disappeared into a shadow, and the reapeared, falling on top of the bagon.

<Maybe because I trust her...> Ruby says, and looks up, then uses an ember attack on the Mawhile. <Maybe because she has a strategy in mind.>

<Yeahhhg!> the mawhile danced back, bits of her body glowing from the direct hit of the ember.
Her jaws snapped together viciously, even as large tears formed in her eyes. The special attack lowering fake tears were a favorite mawile move.
