The Jynx turned away from the Tail Whip, though she was a little shaken. She looked towards Lotad, and saw she was on her last legs.
"<I'm bringing you down!>" She wheezed, clearly tired.
"Yeah...it would be lame to lose if there were two Pokemon left. Psychic on the Lotad, if only to keep some of our dignity," Arisa ordered, pointing coldly at the Lotad.
"<Uh oh...>"
Jynx focused, turning every last thought she had into energy. She then brought it outside her mind, and located Lotad's mind. She would be destroyed from the inside out...
The air around Lotad glowed purple, and her mind was invaded with every possible contradicting thought, causing her headache to triple in pain. Then the energy closed in around her, squishing every single health point out.
She slumped to the ground, defeated.
The referee held one flag up towards Arisa. "Lotad is unable to battle, the round goes to Arisa and Jynx."
Arisa turned on the small raccoon. "Who knows...your ditzy Zigzagoon may go down, too."
((Though I doubt she will...*pokes Jynx, who promptly falls over* Arisa needs to train her Pokemon for longer battles. Bad Arisa.))

At that exact moment, the "ditzy Zigzagoon" who's name escapes me at the moment rams into Jynx with a tackle attack.

((It's Kansai. You can rename her if you don't like it...I did it to fit her personality, which kinda died...))
"<Oof!>" She grunted, falling over. The attack took almost everything out of her...only by focusing at the last moment was she able to keep any health. "<One...last...attempt...>"
She turned around, and fired a Psychic blast at Zigzagoon. It was powerful...but took everything out of her. She teetered dizzily, trying, and failing, to keep the world from spinning and her thoughts from going out of order.

(I don't do ditzy, you can always control her if you'd like.)
"Hidden Power!" Rain commands at the same time, as the psychic attack hits, looks like Kansai's damaged quite a bit, but she's not out yet, as she goes in for one final attempt.
It all comes down to this...

The attack itself, while incredibly weak, knocked Jynx out because of all those Tail Whips...and because, if put into the computerized health guages, she would have had something like three hit points left.
The dancer groaned, swayed, then fell to the floor, unconscious.
The referee nodded, and swished a flag towards Rain. "Jynx is unable to battle! The match goes to Zigzagoon and Rain Skylark!"
Arisa shrugged, recalling Jynx. "Well, then. Looks like your dragons got you nowhere," she sneered, putting the Pokeball away in her parka, and withdrawing two other items. She crossed over the icy arena, her boots gripping down on the ice like it was tile. Flipping her hair, she looked down at Rain with a hint of contempt, though she wasn't really disappointed. If she had lost to Rain's torchic or a - Mew forbid - dragon, THEN she'd have been mad.
But she lost to a zigzagoon and a lotad. There was nothing horrible about losing to Pokemon like that.
"Well, kid," she began, placing an emphasis on the second word, "good job. That lotad...keep her. Same with the zigzagoon. I'd ditch the torchic, though, she was next to useless," she laughed. "Anyway, here you go." The items were handed to the challenger. One, a badge shaped like a snowflake, glittered on top of a few bills. "That's your Freeze Badge, and your winnings of 2000 pyen. Good job...you're not that bad, for an idiot in a trenchcoat who is obsessed with dragons," she smirked, flipping her hair, and walking into the private areas of the Sapphire City Gym to heal her Pokemon.

"At least I'm not wearing a parka where its not cold, and you don't see me dictating what pokemon you use," Rain shouts at her while she recalls Kansai, and picks up the Lotad while walking back to the pokemon center.
(Its official, I hate Arisa.)

((Well, in Arisa's defense, she hates Rain. She isn't on such great terms with Corwin, either...if it weren't for the fact that Corwin named his daughter after her (her name is Alyssa), loses to her often, and is the epitome of what the stereotypical dragon expert is not, she'd probably hate him, too.
And Arisa wears a parka because the gym temperature is cold, to keep the ice frozen. Like a skating rink...hey, Skitty made her, not me. But she mentions the gym temperature, so at least it's not just Arisa being crazy. @_@))
The referee looked at Rain rather strangely, and tightened his own parka. "What, are you crazy?" He asked as she left. "It's freezing in here..."
Inside the Pokemon Center, Junko looked up from the fashion magazine she was wearing, placing it so an article on fashionable winter wear was face up. "Oh hey...the gym battle went well, huh?" Taking Rain's Pokemon, and shoving the lotad unceremoniously into a temporary Pokeball, she ran the Pokemon through the machine. "Oh hey, your zigzagoon's still alive...good. I always worry about people who start with fire-types, they think the gym will be so easy...then they realize Arisa's wise to that trick."
After she ran the Pokemon through a routine healing, she handed them over to Rain. "If you want to deposit any of them, the computer is over there," she pointed to a large computer that looked a year or two old. "And if you want to visit the Pokemart, it's just down the street...and if you follow the street to the right, it'll take you to Route 2."

(Rain has issues with her, how's that.)
"Thanks," Rain says, and follows the directions, heading out to Route 2.
