The rain had lightened to nothing more than a damp drizzle, which to Bryquaine's eye seemed to make the world seem much wetter than it had when it was pouring with rain. He wore his new poncho, partly to keep the rain off his recently dried self, and also to keep Natsu dry. While the Mareep was an electric type, and thus had a built in strength against water, Bryquaine himself didn't particularly fancy being electrocuted.
Natsu peered out from the poncho, apparently perfectly content to be carried for the time being, while the egg Bryquaine had also acquired from the lab was safely carried inside his backpack. He could feel the round shape of it pressing against his back, in fact, which, while not exactly comfortable, would at least give him ample warning if it started hatching.
He looked around at the damp scenery around him. "Not exactly the best kind of day to start an adventure like this, eh?" he asked, to which Natsu bleated an affirmative.
<It was warmer in the lab. But we might still meet some other Pokemon out in this weather,> the Mareep said, and his voice sounded rather hopeful. He was a level-headed fellow, of course, but he was also naturally quite inquisitive, and he'd always enjoyed meeting other Pokemon. Especially ones with tales of the outside world. Of course, now he was seeing the outside world for himself, and despite his fairly calm demeanour, he was inwardly quite excited.
((Sorry I've been gone so long. Things have been pretty hectic around here for the last few weeks.))
