El Dueg:
Basic Summary: This city is on the far side of the two Tejan Mountains. The grasslands spread out from the base of the volcano in a wide swath, with a great lake in the middle of them. On this lake is the floating city Tichteno -- or El Dueg as the Jenta settlers have renamed it. Since the two Mountains often block air flows from one side of Tejan to the other it is usually raining on the grasslands. Not a problem for the natives, who like the reeds and grasses that they use as float-ables for their city to grow as quickly as possible. Two gyms are here, one that celebrates the sun right in the middle of the City, and the other that celebrates the water that gives live located on and under the lake itself.
The Gyms: There are two gym leaders in El Dueg (one for the water-type and one for the grass-type), and unlike Drake's Landing, both are certified for the league. However, you only fight one for the league - the other is optional and fought for a prize in leu of a badge. Zonam can be found in the center of town. To get to Deminique you need to hire a boat, and go out among the reeds.
Gym Name: Comet Pyramid
Basic Information:
Requirement to Challenge: Spectrum Badge and Inferno Badge and daylight (The Astronomy Pyramid is off limits at night time)
Badge: Sun Disk Badge
Arena: The grass type gym actually is housed on the astronomy pyramid of El Dueg. There is an entrance in the building, but that's for the scientists and workers in the pyrimid, not Zonatm's Challengers . Challengers are asked to go to the top using the long stairs that rise eight stories on the outside of the bright yellow sunstone structure. The technicians and scientists don't need lost trainers interrupting their work, although if one is on break, they're happy to watch the battle at the top of the pyramid. The flat top of the pyramid is protected by a vast layer of spoil, where Zonam grows a vegetable garden, which helps to absorb any attacks directed at the ground, and if Zonam's lucky, can give food to the local food shelf. There are several metallic mirrors positioned to catch the suns rays, and Zonam can bove them at will. Be warned: Sunny Day is almost always in effect up here, unless it was already raining, and it can be very hot.
Location: The Central Square of El Dueg. The pyramid is the hub of the city, and impossible to miss as it is at least five stories taller than all the other buildings, and all streets run towards it.
The Gym Leader:
Name: Zonam Ragi - the Solar Collector
Age: 26
Appearance: Zonam is tall, and dark haired, with dark skin, like most of the citizens of El Dueg. It's impossible to tell if he is naturally dark, or if the constant exposure to the sun in the cause. His skin is becoming leathery, though, and he jokes saying that he'll be an old man of 30 in an ancient man's body pretty soon. He almost always wears white and gold, his two favorite colors, in a light sleeveless tunic, although he wears blue jeans and a canvas apron so he can garden.
Personality: It is hard to catch Zonam indoors. He apparently has been indoors before in his lifetime, but he doesn't to it willingly. He says he likes to have El Dueg's open sky above him all the time, even when he has to suffer through rain storms, and bad weather to do it. Among the things in his gardening shed, it is possible to notice a sleeping bag rolled up in one corner.
In person, Zonam is a cheerful, easy going guy. He loves hearing stories, and often might delay the start of a battle to find out what you've had to do to get to him, or at the end of a battle he'll ask you to stick around to find out where you're planning to go from there. He is good friends with the other gym leader, Deminique.
In Battle, Zonam likes to follow the "Lance Style of Combat." Basically, hit hard and heavy, and then repeat. There is a reason you need to hope that it is a rainy day when you challenge him. Luckily, his most of his pokemon are slow, so you will have a chance to throw up a Protect, Rain Dance, or Detect before they get get down to business.

Gym Name: Reed Lake Gym
Basic Information:
Requirement to Challenge: Specturm and Inferno Badge (and night time, Deminque has shopping, cooking, and cleaning to do during the day, she doesn't have time to battle)
Badge: Lake Badge
Arena:
The large lilipads near the reeds that the locals of El Dueg harvest as building material, There is a floating raft for the trainer to sit, or stand on, but other than that, hope your pokemon is light enough not to sink the lily pads, or that it can swim. If you ask nicely, Deminique might give you her floating raft for your heavier pokemon, (she isn't into drowning magmar, after all), but Deminique is capricious, and might not. The lily pads cover a vast area, giving you plenty of room to move, and tall standing torches rise above the reeds, while lanterns float on the water, giving you plenty of light for the nighttime fight. The only out of bounds area on the lake is the boating lane far off to the right as you face away from El Dueg, and the reed beds, closer to you on your right. If the reeds are damaged, it will be deducted from your winnings so Deminique can plant new ones.
Location: To get to Deminique's Gym, at the far end of Reed Lake, you have to go to the edges of El Dueg, and hire one of the reed boats to take you there. Either that or you could swim all the way, it's to the south east of El Dueg, and there aren't any other wooden platforms tethered around the lake.
The Gym Leader:
Name: Deminique - The Water Demon
Age: 23
Appearance: Deminique has blue, spiky hair, which she keeps cropped short. Her swimsuit is also a light blue one piece, and her skin is almost transparently blue white. Some suspect that it is because of all the time spent swimming around the lake, while others think its the side effect of her being a golduck pokemorph. She wears a swept back pale blue crown made from the old horns of her shiny corsola, Brill, which help identify her golduck 'morphism, if the long, blue, short haired tail, and the webbed fingers and feet couldn't help you. The crown ends in a polished pebble of fire stone, although she doesn't not have the red forehead jewel of a golduck, herself. That doesn't stop her from using psychic powers, though. Deminique is quite proud of her telikinese and will show off by shaping water with it.
Personality:
While Zonam is a steady, calm person, Deminique is anything but. She is light-hearted, and loves to show off and dance on top of the water in the moonlight, lifting herself with her telekinesis. Of course she is proud of who she is, and what she can do. Most pokemorphs don't have a chance to raise themselves as high as she has, but there is a mischievous side to her pride and light-hearted spirit that will show itself in battle when she uses slightly underhanded tactics. She's energetic and quick to try for a win. Still, if you can get her attention long enough, she'll be happy to hear a few bad puns, or just a joke or two. She gets along very well with her fellow Gym Leader, Zonam, in that regard.
The Pokemon:
Total: 3
Amount to Challenge: 2
Pokemon:
Species: Corsola
- Gender: Male
- Nickname: Brill
- Level: 23
- Ability: Natural Cure
- Attacks: Rock Blast, Bubble, Recover, Tackle
- Personality: Brill acts as Deminique's conscience, when he thinks that she is going too far, but he's been with her a long time, and has picked up she supposedly care-free spirit. It's hard to tell when you first meet him that he's a serious calming influence on his trainer.
Species: Buizel
- Gender: Male
- Nickname: Mud
- Level: 22
- Ability: Swift Swim
- Attacks: Aqua Jet, Sonicboom, Quick Attack, Pursuit
- Personality: You know the warning that you give little children? "Do that and your name is "mud"? Well, Mud has a habit of testing boundaries like that. Deminique has threatened him many times, with little result. He is still the same irresponsible happy-go-lucky buizel he ever was.
Species: Carvanha
- Gender: Female
- Nickname: Hound
- Level: 21
- Ability: Rough Skin
- Attacks: Screech, Bite, Ice Fang, Rage
- Personality: She persistent, almost annoyingly so. Give any problem she'll worry it to death, and she can track anything in her lake.
The Breeders: Most breeders from El Dueg live in the southern neighborhood of town (which includes the lotad center, containing all lotad breeders), where the sun usually shines the brightest. Lotad are the town's specialty, and you can usually find buyable, tradable, or even wild lotad wandering on the floating city. They can be cheap, too, since the town encourages people to train its favorite Pokemon. Other breeders have branched out to other grass-types and water-types, though those are usually more expensive and less customizable.
Supply Store: A large, well-stocked store for all occasions located near the Pokemon center (that would be on the eastern entrance to the town). You can buy most of what you want for your journey here, including:
