Ruby City Laboratory:
Welcome to the Ruby City Laboratory, where your adventure in Tejan begins! Come here to get all things necessary and proper for you to start your journey with, including your all-important starter Pokemon.
Description: The whitewashed eighteenth floor of a sizeable, ornately decorated skyscraper (it has stone gargoyles shaped like winged persian). It's very clean and orderly inside, with the offered Pokemon in alphabetized shelves on the left wall of the lobby (when you have your back to the door). Other supplies needed for journeys is all in the shelving system on the right wall of the lobby (again, when you have your back to the door).
The Professor: Professor Edwin Cerasus, a long-time colleague of Jenta's Professor Edward Cherry, is somewhere in his late fifties, though lacks the latter's Einstein hairstyle. Indeed, Professor Cerasus runs his laboratory (and life) with no lack of order or efficiency. He has combed grey hair with no hint of craziness, a clipped mustache, and focused grey eyes. He usually wears a spotless white lab coat when he is at work, with a blue button-down shirt, some sort of tie (this is the only changing part of his day-to-day attire), and khaki slacks underneath. His brown shoes are always shiny, and his white socks...you don't see, because their under his pants and shoes. But they're clean, too.
The Professor's Pokemon: The only Pokemon you cannot pick is the professor's seviper pair. Fuyu (the male one) and Fuuko (the female one) are the professor's best friends and lab assistants. While considerably less sarcastic than their ekans counterparts, they tend to mumble things only audible to the other, and the general consensus is that they are insulting the trainers.
What You Get: You receive, as your starter package, 1 Pokemon (level 5), 1 standard Tejan Pokedex, 3 potions, and 5 Pokeballs. See below for starter information.

The Tejan Starters:
Currently Offered Starters: There are always 13 to 15 starters available. 5 are fixed, 5 are generated randomly each week, 3 are rotating, 1 is added to the list if you decide to pick a letter, and 1 is added to the list if you do the type quiz. All starters come in a variety of genders and personalities - if you ask for what you want, you are pretty much guaranteed to get it. Professor Cerasus tries to only give away starters with easygoing personalities, though sometimes one can slip through the cracks (this is rare, though).
Fixed Starters: These will always be offered. They are:
Slugma
Corphish
Bellsprout
Magnemite
Rattata
Generated Starters: These change every week. This week they are:
Gulpin
Geodude
Azurill
Houndour
Girafarig
Rotating Starters: These rotate every week. They are the standard starters of the four main regions (Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh), and one of each type is always offered in Tejan. This week they are:
Cyndaquil
Piplup
Bulbasaur
Letter Starters: If you want another Pokemon added to the list, you can pick a letter A-Z. A random Pokemon will be selected that begins with that letter, and the base form in the line of that Pokemon will be added to the list. For example, if you pick P and get persian, meowth would be added.
Type Quiz: If you take the "what type are you" quiz, you can have another Pokemon added to the list. The Pokemon will be of the type you get. The quiz is five questions long, and is as follows:
