((What the heck...Mori-chan needs a fwiend, and I WANT THAT GIBLE/HIPPOWDON TEAM! HIPPOWDON! HIPPOOOOOOWDON! >:3 ))
The Trainer:
Name: Lucy Ann Stirn (she's called Lucy by most people, with a couple Luce's thrown in here and there)
Gender: female
Age: 16, birthday on June 25
Physical Description: Lucy is about 5'7", so a bit on the tall side. She likes clothing she can move around in, so she usually wears some sort of standard t-shirt (usually in purple or "khaki", which is really more of a cerulean), long blue jeans, running sneakers, white socks (which you can't see, because she wears jeans), and a watch. She doesn't like her watch, though, since it is big, black, and clunky. She only wears it because she can't stand not knowing the time, and she had to buy a watch anyway...it was the only one she could afford. So she's stuck with it. Lucy's hair, which is shoulderlength, brown, and curves in (it's layered) is either down or in a ponytail, depending on her laziness in the morning. She has pale skin (so she goes crazy with sunblock), blue eyes (she's terrified of skin cancer), and is sort of thin but not crazy fit. She's usually too lazy to do intense workouts, though she does run sometimes.
History: Lucy was born in Sunahara Village in Tsuhikami, where she grew up around ground-types. She also grew up around sand, making her love it. When she was little, she'd either be playing in the sand box, or in the desert outside of town (which was like the sandbox, but a whole lot bigger!). She lived in Sunahara Village up through the end of elementary school. By that time, she was about three quarters of her way through her twelfth year, and her parents felt it was time to move.
Lucy wasn't too happy. She really liked the desert of Tsuhikami, and she liked the small region. Well, she liked the desert. Seibun Town and Youso City were okay, and aside from Kayama Town's obsession with fire (such an inferior element!), it was alright (it was in the mountains, which were pretty nice). However, Kazemori and Mizushita City...Lucy wasn't too happy to see them go. They weren't too good - they trained Pokemon that were strong against ground-types, and that was badbadBAD.
Luckily, by that time, Lucy had her trainer's license. She didn't really do much with it, since she didn't feel like leaving her darling desert, but now that she had to...well, she still didn't want to go on a training journey, but she felt like she should put it to use.
So she borrowed a friend's wooper (what? It was part ground-type, and Lucy wasn't stupid when it came to type advantages!), and went out to Desert Highway to catch a friend of the desert. After a day of searching, battling, and healing the wooper (it wasn't super good at battling), she finally came across a hippopotas she could catch. So she caught him, named him Kevin after one of her friends (the human Kevin really liked hippopotas), returned the wooper to her friend, and went with her parents.
Luckily for Lucy, the place they moved to was in mainland Jenta...and it was Iikagen City. It was right on a swamp, which wasn't too cool, but there was a ground-type gym. That was cool. She trained Kevin in the gym, since it gave its days off to the city's ground-type trainers, and even trained him a bit around the swamp. This didn't work out so well, but it did toughen poor Kevin up a bit.
Lucy and Kevin never really felt like leaving...they were much too lazy, and Kevin's levels already were getting a bit high. Although it put him nicely in the Group 2 level margin (though just above the Florak level cap, which was a tad problematic), she didn't really liked the whole group system, as it was confusing and a pain. So never really bothered registering herself as a Jenta traveling trainer, keeping Tsuhikami as her main region on her license, and was able to get around that whole pesky group system thing.
She kept training Kevin throughout middle school (she went to a pretty good middle school, Tsunami - but with different kanji for "tsu", which she found funny), and he eventually evolved into a hippowdon. This made Lucy and Kevin ecstatic, since it meant lots and lots of sand, although her parents were a little less than thrilled at the idea of sand busting out of Kevin's pours. So they figured Kevin should go outside more, but then he was lonely...
So Lucy and Kevin, after Lucy graduated from middle school (she'd already gotten her acceptance letter to Sunatori Shiritsu Koukou, so no worries there, even if it wasn't the best school in Iikagen), they took the summer to go the Settlement of Nga (it was underground! The steel-type theme there was okay, but it was underground!). During their traipsing-through-the-Sunstone-Tunnel (and meeting other hippopotas), they were attacked by a vicious...dragonsaur.
And that was how they met Drago, the Italian gible who referred to himself as "Dragonsaur". He also wouldn't leave them alone, causing Lucy to, in a fit of annoyance, just catch the stupid thing.
This was good in that Kevin had a friend to keep him company during Lucy's classes, but Drago/Dragonsaur/Saur (Lucy liked short names) required a lot more training than Kevin, sparking Kevin's slight jealousy of the dragon. Drago was a lot harder to handle, a lot more wild than Kevin had been, and rarely listened to Lucy. Luckily, he wasn't stupid, so he didn't do too much damage in the process.
Lucy was just happy that Drago was a ground-type, or else she'd have to kill him.
Eventually, during the summer vacation of her junior year, she learned she had to go on a training journey. It was a bit of a shock, as there wasn't much in terms of a notice ahead of time, as it came about as the school decided to burn down due to an attack from some strange sort of ninetails. They think.
The school did a remarkable job, though, at finding places for all the students to train, and moving the curriculum online. They also extended the summer vacation, canceled all summer homework (much to all the students' astonishment and pleasure), and cut back on homework during the year. This did mean harder tests, but hey! No homework!
Lucy was given a choice of either Miteinjan or Mokenpo, and Tsuhikami was full, and they wanted people to go to new regions. This didn't make Lucy very happy, as she couldn't train in her own region, but she decided to go with the lesser of two evils. Miteinjan was, regretably, very poor and damp. Not too good for Kevin or Drago (though she figured the dragon could probably manage...or something).
So they set out during July-ish, determined to do something. And avoid too many more preschoolers.
Personality: Generally pretty normal. She's pretty good around little kids, but would really rather get paid if she had to deal with them. She's pretty hardy, and willing to do anything if she has to, though she might not always be happy about it. Lucy loves ground-types, and really doesn't like anything else. Unless she gets a Pokemon that will eventually obtain a ground-type or is a good substitute (she hasn't found any yet, though), she will probably kick it off the team. And she won't be too nice to it before then, as she'd probably just neglect it. Why bother training a Pokemon she doesn't like, won't keep, and won't need?
Starting Team: Hippowdon, Gible
__________________________________________________________________
The Pokemon:
Species: Hippowdon
Gender: male
Nickname: Kevin
Ability: Sand Stream: creates a sandstorm upon entrance to battle
Hidden Power: N/A
History: Lucy caught Kevin as a hippopotas on Desert Highway in Tsuhikami, right before she was set to move to Iikagen City in Jenta. Kevin was named after one of Lucy's friends back in Sunahara Town, a boy her age who really like hippopotas. She made a real effort to become friends with him, since he was a ground-type and a desert-like Pokemon, and it slowly paid off. Kevin and Lucy bonded, and became inseperable (basically like best friends). She began training him in the Iikagen City gym, which was ideal for ground-types, as well as the swamps near the city. Kevin didn't like the swamps much, so he often bullied Lucy into letting him get out of it. He eventually evolved, since they weren't registered as Jenta trainer parties and didn't have to abide by the group system, and enjoyed using his large size to get what he wanted. He wasn't too happy to share his friend with Drago (plus, "Dragonsaur" was kind of weird), so he often acts a bit cold to his teammate. Nevertheless, he is excited to train in Mokenpo.
Personality: Pretty nice to Lucy, but gets jealous very easily. He and Lucy became best friends, as Lucy devoted all her time to him. Unfortunately, he gets a bit clingy about his best friend, and hates sharing her with anybody else (like Drago). He's pretty tough on the outside, and likes intimidating people - he finds other people's fear hilarious. This can make him a bit mean to others, and since Lucy usually lets it slide or encourages it, he hasn't really gotten better.
Species: Gible
Gender: male
Nickname: Drago (official), Dragonsaur, Saur
Ability: Sand Veil: ups evasiveness in a sandstorm
Hidden Power: N/A
History: Lucy caught Drago when she and Kevin were traipsing through Sunstone Tunnel during a vacation to Nga. Drago wouldn't leave them alone, so she caught him in a fit of annoyance. She was 15 then - she's matured a bit since then. A bit. Lucy soon learned what a pain it was to train dragons, as they required both harsh and constant training. Drago soon started to become a part of the team, though he mostly liked to keep to himself. Lucy sometimes tries to make progress in their friendship (Kevin doesn't), but it requires too much work, and Lucy is lazy. Drago sort of doesn't care.
Personality: Drago is a bit bipolar, or something. He speaks with an Italian accent, and apparently is fluent in Italian, but refuses to speak any Italian around Lucy or Kevin. He refers to himself as a "dragonsaur", and believes dragons and dragonsaurs (and dinosaurs) once ruled the earth, and should do so once again. He says whatever is on his mind, is a bit arrogant, and a bit violent...though he sometimes has fits of compassion. He hates these, though. He also views men as being better than women, causing him to believe that Lucy is unfit to be a dragon trainer. Lucy would kill him if he wasn't a ground-type, so she trains him very harshly.
