And lo, there shall come a time of darkness upon the land. The shepards shall not see their flocks, and the lords shall not see their people, For the wings of giants shall block the sun While fire lights them from below. Beware greed, mortal, beware wrath and envy They shalt be thy undoing
- A long winded propesy from the Johto region
Premise: It's 1125 in the Johto Region. The capital Ekruteak is home to two gods of sun and storm and the Ghost Emperor reigns supreme. However, people are forgetting the old ways and beginning to capture the lesser gods, and use them to fight wars. Will you capture the gods, Lugia and Ho-oh, or will you decide to defend them?
This is an AU RP set before the fire consumed the Tin Tower and Ho-oh and Lugia flew off. Perhaps if you do things right they won't have to fly off this time.
Setting: Johto! You know all the towns. Each town is ruled by a clan (Bird, Bug, Normal etc.). These, of course, are the ancestors of the gym leaders we know today.
The style of the dress and many of the ideas are based off of Fuedal Japan (think Naruto meets Inuyasha). Basically Pokemon without technology. No pokedex, although many scholars keep journals about the behaviors of pokemon. You have apricorn makers in every town, instead of pokeballs. Oh, and the barter system is in effect.
Objective: You can either be someone who is naturally intune with the gods (Meaning that you have pokemon following you around), or you can be and early form of trainer, meaning that you have to use apricorns to capture pokemon.
The point is to have fun. And possibly gain control of a ledgendary pokemon. Or save the world from the ambitious, as the case may be.
Rules: You can have as many characters as you like, both villains and heroes, and those caught in the cross fire. You can be pokemon (i.e. considered a god) or a human. All you have to do is fill out the form and begin RPing with whoever is there.
Keep in mind that while Kanto trainers have already begun emerging training is not yet considered a normal occupation, and Hoenn is considered too far away to travel to. This means NO Hoennese pokemon, and neither porygon, eevee, nor castform exist (they were all lab made pokemon).
However, the "fossil" pokemon aerodactyl, kabuto, omanyte, etc., have not become extinct, yet, and dratini are uncommon rather than rare (they can be found in the Blackthorn Mountains, Whirl Islands, and Lake of Rage).
~~~
Form
Name:
Age:
Occupation: Optional. Can be replaced by "Ambition"
Description: Put some thought into this. This is set back in time, so try for a more traditional look.
Personality: AT LEAST five sentences here please.
History: Please no: "This person has a mysterious past which they refuse to reveal." If you want to be enigmatic, you'll have to do so in at least seven sentences.
Pokemon: (If any) Just species, name, personality, and anything else you would like to add. Also you cannot have a full compliment of six pokemon (5 or less pokemon). Only one of them can be fully evolved. The rest have to be in their basic or secondary stages. Preferably there will be a range of levels, genders, and types.
~~~
If you plan to be a pokemon: Fill out the Name, Description, Personality, History, and then give a detailed account of your stats: i.e. moves, level, special ability, etc.
Once you've filled out the form completely you may begin without needing the go-ahead from anyone.

((I'll start off with a character for others to have a reference point. Besides, I think I'm the only who will decide to be a megalomaniac.))
Name: Deru Goori
Age: 23
Ambition: Power. He wants it, and he'll take it anyway he can. He's being awfully closed mouthed about what he wants it for, though.
Description: Shockingly blonde. For a native Johtoan he certainly doesn't look it, or even vaugely Asian. In fact in our world we would probably believe him to be Russian. However, he claims to be from Johto and he's not the type you argue with. He wears samurai armor when he can get away with it, and afaded blue kimono when he can't (i.e. someone figures out that he's a peasant and unworthy to pick up the sword).
Personality: Deru is very intense. When he wants something he generally takes it without asking. Never the less, he is clever, and plans things well, as can be seen on the battlefield. In his personal life he is very cold, unless he wants something from someone. He manipulates whoever is unfortunate to cross his path.
History: Deru comes from a small town called "New Bark." This area used to be a part of Kanto until the most recent war between Johto and Kanto, when the boundaries between the two regions changed. Of course, this war happened during Deru's most formative years, and some might say that it explains a lot about him. Others might say a sociopath is a sociopath, and leave it at that.
Either way he came out of that troubled and confusing era with no family, no friends, and the knowledge of how to kill people very firmly etched into his mind. He gave up on making human connections ever again for his own reasons, and his choice in pokemon (mainly ice and rock types) reflects the hardness in his heart.
He sees nothing wrong with imprisoning pokemon inside apricorns, and doesn't believe that pokemon are anything better than intelligent animals. His view of humans is that they are unintelligent animals. He roams Johto now, a mercenary in an age that it turning from war to peace. However, he has plans to change that.
Pokemon:
Bone - Onix The gentlest of Deru's Pokemon, Bone doesn't understand why Deru insists on keeping him in an apricorn, and won't speak to him except to order him around. However, Bone does what he is told, hoping that it will please Deru enough to get him to be more friendly.
Serpent - Sedra Serpent hates Deru, and yet idolizes him at the same time. Serpent is fascinated by the level of icy ruthlessness that Deru has sunk himself into, and what he has accomplished. If it weren't for the fact that this vicious seadra is trapped by his owner he would probably follow Deru with the loyalty of an acolyte.
Tyrant - Pupitar The defensive protector of the team, Tyrant is shrewd and cold hearted. He forces his team members to work together, and for Deru's benefit, even when it is clear that he dislikes Deru as much as Serpent. The old pokemon is the most experienced battler, and will sometimes ignore what Deru has to say, even when the punishments are severe.
Devil - Houndoom Devil is Deru's guard dog, and deadly attacker. He is the only one out of Deru's pokemon who is allowed outside the apricorn when not in battle. His favored method of battle is burning the victim and then letting it limp away for him to finish it later. Besides a similarity in temperment, it is unknown why Devil is treated differently from Deru's other pokemon.
~~~
Deru stared up at the stars frm his position on the wooded hill above the Lake of Rage The stars seemed to cold and distantly far off in their peace and security. When the sun would rise they would leave the sphere, and his quick glimpse of serenity would be gone.
Beside him the warm bulk of Devil stirred, and Deru was immediately on the alert. A flaaffy trotted by the hill, and Deru relaxed along with his houndoom, although the pokemon wished he could chase after it.
"Enough time for that, my Devil," Deru muttered. "We need to be heading to Ecruteak by morning. For now, I'm going to sleep. Don't let any idiots with grand ideas about winning my sword from me wake me, all right?"
Name: Krishas Carry Etherstence
Age: 16
Occupation: Pokemon Healer. However, she only heals wild pokemon.
Description: Krishas wears a plain brown kimono with a little bit of white and black decorations. Mostly they are around the ends of the sleeves and the bottom of the clothing, and are in the shape of twisting vines with the occasional flower. She's relativly close to average height, just reaching five feet tall. She's barefoot most of the time, but for colder weather she has a pair of cloth shoes that is basically a pair of home-made cotton slippers. She's never cut her hair, and as such it's easily long enough to reach her knees, though she wraps it up into a tight, braided, black, bun to keep it out of the way. There are always a few annoying strands, shorter than the rest of her hair as they only reach her chin most of the time, that get in the way of her face and obscure her clear silver eyes.
Personality: Krishas is something of a mute. She can speak, but her voice is so quiet that she usually just doesn't bother, and communicates instead with gestures. She's of the submissive sort, and usually just does what she's told, unless it endangers a pokemon. The one thing she's absolutely against, with her entire being, is the abuse of the 'lesser gods'. Even her own life isn't as important, in her view.
History: Krishas was brought up in an ordinary peasant family, who had the good fortune to be friends with many of the nearby grass pokemon. The pokemon helped the family survive the harder times, and the Etherstence's repaid them by giving when there was enough, and helping them out when they were injured. Krishas learned her healing from her mother, and even a little bit of human healing. As she grew older, she ventured further and further afield, spending more and more time with pokemon and less with humans. One day she said good-bye to her family and left, and since then has spent little time with humans and more time with pokemon. She's even made two very good pokemon friends, and been described as being 'intune with the gods'.
Pokemon:
Petalstorm: Oddish Petalstorm was the first to start traveling with Krishas, after the young girl healed the burnt pokemon. Krishas started to call her Petalstorm after a spectacular Petal Dance, and the two have been fast friends since Krishas started to speak to her. In fact, Krishas spends more time speaking to Petalstorm than she does with anything else. Petalstorm, for her part, is completely happy to travel with the kind girl, and lends her a hand whenever she can by fetching strange plants for the potions Krishas makes. Unlike Krishas, however, Petalstorm is not submissive, and is quite in charge of the little group.
Leer: Kabuto Leer got his name from his habit of 'leering' at anything that passes in range. Especially any female that comes into eyesight. The pokemon could even be described as something of a...Erm. You get the idea. Despite that, however, Krishas enjoys his company, and he's happy to travel with her...Or more likely, Petalstorm.
((Cool, but Lee <pokes the Hoennese Roselia> perhaps you should change that to a bellosom, or Vileplume, or Oddish...)) Name: (Last Name, First Name) Zephyr Yuriko (The heir of the flying clan, Princess of Violet, Preistess of Birds, Yuriko-hime) Age: 16 Occupation: The only child of the Flying Clan in Violet City, Yuriko is responsible for the spiritual dealings with bird pokemon -- rather, she will be once her father passes on the robes of the Head Preist. Her father is a little concerned about the lack of family members at the moment, and he'd like it if her occupation was finding a husband. Discription: Yuriko has most of the more unfortunate sets of family traits, the hawk nose, the really thin lips, and the eyes that are a little more intense than necessary. Especially when she stares people down. However, she is very proud of her thick black hair. She wears the hair pulled back in a loose pony tail, tied with a red ribbon for purification. Her customary clothing consists of a white wide sleeved haori (Wrap top, usually only worn by men until the Meiji era - useless bit of trivia), and wide red pants, the typical garb of a shinto preist. <--- Example of said costume on a man Personality: Yuriko is a fairly spoiled brat. Her mother died of a fever when Yuriko was very young, and since then her father has coddled her, and given her pretty much everything she's ever wanted. She is used to getting her way with everything, and the fact that she has her family's abilities with birds to a point of nearly being able to understand their thoughts has not done anything to decrease the size of her swelled ego. However, once beyond her self-centered, bossy exterior, Yuriko is extremely loyal. Because of her upbringing, which was closer to that of a son rather than a daughter, she has not been taught humility, or submissiveness, but on the other hand she was taught to take control in a crisis, rather than look around hopelessly for help. History: Being brought up in the Violet Shrine of Flying was a very educational experience. Yuriko has been surrunded by birds her entire life, and was most commonly found climbing trees to get closer to the sky, a practice that her father often wished he could discourage, as it resulted in many falls and near heart attacks on his part. Yuriko was taught how to call upon the spirits of flying gods to aide her in times of distress, and protect the people she chared about. She also learned some defense, and typically uses a bamboo stave when she must defend herself from a physical attacker. However, now that her father is getting older, he's worrying more and more about his willful daughter. There might not be a clan left if she dies without an heir. He's suggested that she find a husband soon, but Yuriko doesn't want to settle down just yet (or ever, really). The Head Zephyr is having some trouble coming to grips with the idea of a woman who doesn't want to marry and have children. On one hand, at least it means he won't have to scare off any unsuitable suitors, on the other, these are very troubled times, and he'd like to be a grandfather before he dies. After the latest argument on the topic of marriage, Yuriko stormed out of the shrine, stayed out all night Lugia knows where, and didn't speak to him for a week. Her father decided that perhaps she should spend a year getting to know the world, and hopefully come back to Violet a mature woman. Sending his oldest god partner, Yozuku the noctowl, to look after Yuriko he bid her good bye, and told her to visit the other clans, and learn some of their techniques. PokemonYozuku - Noctowl The eldest advisor and resident in the Violet Shrine, Yozuku is little uncomfortable with the headstrong preistess. He feels like an uncle to her, but he just doesn't understand this rebellion phase that she's going through, and feels cut off from the future heir. Zuku - Pidgeotto Yuriko's first pokemon, Zuku is a hot headed male pidgeotto and enjoys annoying the elderly Yozuku, and the younger Hannezu. He shares a very similar mindset to that of Yuriko, and enjoys showing off for all who he encounters. Hannezu - Hoppip Hannezu is the accidental pokemon of Yuriko's party. She was being attacked by some spearow when Yuriko needed help with brigands who had ambushed the preistess outside of Union Cave. When Yuriko called to the bird gods in the area, the spearow came. Hannezu believes that Yuriko saved her life, and has been following ever since, despite Yuriko's attempts to explain that Yuriko just wanted assistance from the spearow, and she had no idea that the hoppip was being attacked. ~~~ Yuriko stretched lazily, and cracked her knuckles. The noctowl on the tree above her winced. <I really wish you wouldn't do that,> he complained. <It's not becoming, Yuriko-sama>. "Sorry, Yokuzu-san," the young woman replied, sounding anything but sorry. She rolled over on the damp grass, and opened the bag that had been serving her as a pillow for the last five minutes. Rumaging around inside it made a lot of chiming and clinking noises, but even above these the old noctowl's sensitive hearing could catch the muttered comments about lack of spring rolls, and why did they have to have boring old onigiri? It was as bad as eating like peasants. She was sure that the onigiri she had recieved from Plain-sensei as a parting gift was just rice all the way through. The Head of the Normal Clan had no concept of real food. Yozuku tuned out the complaining after a while; he was getting used to the whining, finally. It had only taken three months, and getting outside Goldenrod to do it. The great yellow eyes closed, and then jerked open again, as there was a rustle in the longer grass beside the road, and the screeching keening laugh of Zuku. One yellow orb popped open wearily. What was the feather-brained fool doing now? And to think, he had been flattered when the newly hatched pidgey had been named after him. Yozuku clicked his beak irritably, as with a heavy whir of wings Zuku buzzed overhead, a struggling something in his claws. <Got you another wimp to save, Ko-ko!> the Pidgeotto cackled, dropping the tangled mass nearly on Yuriko's head. The pokemon that he had picked up appeared to be a tangela. Next to Yuriko's right hand, the quiet Hannezu began to quiver. "Zuku, for the last time, it was a co-in-cid-i-den-ce!" Yuriko exclaimed in exasperation, as the tangela rose to its feet and glared around in annoyance.
Krishas bit her lip, kneeling down on the level of the small Caterpie. She wasn't doing so much healing, as helping the bug-type out, since the pokemon was caught in a tangle of underbrush and quite stuck. She finally wrapped her hands around his torso and pulled him out, setting him on the ground and whispering a good-bye as the little pokemon inched off.
Petalstorm huffed, finding the other pokemon very ungrateful. After all, Krishas had just rescued it, and not a word from it! The Oddish stormed ahead, shaking her leaves in agitation and obviously setting the pace for the girl behind. Leer didn't walk, since he was more at home in water, but was instead carried by Krishas as she followed her Oddish companion with a small smile.
Krishas had no clue at all where she was, but it was nice. The ground wasn't too hard, or too soft, and she hadn't stepped on anything sharp. It wasn't too cold or too hot, and Leer seemed to be in a good mood and hadn't bothered Petalstorm and set up an entire arguement.
<Oh wow! Lookit over there!> Krishas followed Leer's gaze, and sighed as she realized that it was another human-And, predictably from Leer's reaction, a fellow female.
"You're supposed to like Petalstorm. You can't go gawing at everyone." She shook her head, grinning a little as Petalstorm glared at her and huffed away once more.
((Herm...I wanna join this, and I want to use an AU version of a character from a fic I wanna do...but which one...and argh, how am I gonna 'splain the name? Grrr...Pokemon are a problem, too. Nerg. I'm usin' her little brother instead, who is lucky enough to have a purely Japanese name and not have any Pokemon. X3 I'll make twice his age for this, though, because it's AU and I feel like it. -_- )) Name: Kozue Sunamiya Age: 16 Occupation: He works on his parents' farm most of the time. He declined to travel, unlike his two older sisters, even though his parents asked. Kozue also visits the one of the town's small shrines a lot, and has picked up much of his training in archery from the priest. However, he still has no idea what he wants from life...he's hoping it'll just sort of hit him one day. Description: Kozue has not-extremely-neat black hair and soft brown eyes. His skin is pretty dark and rough (from spending most of his time outdoors and doing manual labor), and he is relatively tall (stands about 5' 8"). Usually he wears the same garb as his mentor, the priest of the Ishiyama shrine, including the standard white haori (I think it's what it's called), red pleated pants, white socks, and geta sandals. His hair usually kind of spikes in random directions, since no matter what he does, something always messes it up. Personality: Kozue, being the youngest sibling with only sisters for an example, is kind of bipolar (or something)...in different way. Sometimes he'll be shy and caring, sometimes he'll be a spoiled brat, sometimes he'll demand attention and act confident, and other times he'll be as scared as a smoochum in a volcano. He's usually (pretty) easygoing, and is open to making friends. He is also well-behaved around girls moreso than boys, since his eldest sister was pretty rough around him (she was a rambunctious child). Because he grew up dealing with girls as sisters and friends, he can't imagine himself being romantic with any, although he always sees other guys as competition. It's probably puberty, or something. History: Kozue grew up in a small mountain farming village, Iwamura, relatively near Mount Silver. His family grew various crops and sold them in the towns farther into the valleys. Kozue's two older sisters, four six years older, had already left on their journeys into the world...one by convincing her mother, who had a gift with speaking to the gods, and the other by point-blank running away. Kozue, who rather liked living in his little village and leading a peaceful life, declined his father's offer to do so as well. He liked farming and learning archery from the priest in the Ishiyama shrine, and cannot honestly think of a different way he'd like to live. Of course, that changed a little a few weeks after he turned thirteen, when he was walking in the mountains to find firewood. He got lost (as it was growing darker and darker), and ended up stumbling near to Mout Silver. Unfortunately, he also stumbled down a small cliff, and while he didn't really hurt himself badly, he was left unconconscious for a few hours. When he awoke, it was extremely cold and dark, and he had no idea where he was. Then he met...her. She drifted over to him, and asked if he was okay. Kozue heard her voice, and while he knew it wasn't human, let her lead him where she wanted him to go. She helped him out of the valley, and onto the mountain road where he could find his way. Later, he'd admit that was when he "fell under Asami-chan's spell." Asami decided to stay with him, and they never really left each other's side...when Kozue's father asked him, on his sixteenth birthday, if he'd be interested in looking for a wife, he replied, "the only girl I can imagine spending my life with is Asami-chan." Needless to say, he received some strange looks after he said that. Pokemon:Asami - Misdreavus Asami (self-named, for some strange reason) saved Kozue from his own stupidity, as she says. She doesn't really think he can control her, or is in-tune with the gods (unlike his mother), but she just kinda likes the guy. Asami is sort of powerful for a misdreavus, but doesn't like to battle. However, if somebody insults/hurts/mistreats/looks threateningly at Kozue, she usually finds some sort of revenge on them. Asami has often muttered, "<if Kozue was a misdreavus, I'd propose to him in a second.>" Of course, both of them were half-joking when they said that. Well, only half. There's a reason they use "-chan" for each other. ~~~ "<Kozue-chan!>" Kozue grumbled as he heard "his" misdreavus call his name in her tongue. "<Wake up!>" "I'm up, I'm up," he grumbled as he rolled out of his futon. Brushing his hand through his hair, he looked sleepily up at the wavy, translucent purple form hovering above him. "Look away while I change, Asami-chan.>" "<I wouldn't dream of peeking,>" she mumbled, phasing away through the wall. Kozue blinked blearily, and pulled off his yukata. Throwing on his "ugly priest clothes," as Asami often called them. Walking outside, he met up with Asami once more. "<We're going to the shrine, right?>" "Yup." ((Blergh, he'll leave and go to where everybody else is once I know where everybody else is. X3 ))
((Deru is over by the Lake of Rage, while Yuriko and Krishas are on the route between Golden Rod and Ecruteak. ^^))
<Yuriko-sama,> Yozuku said, hearing the exclamation of the kabuto. <Perhaps it would be best to be on your guard. There is a peeping tom in the vicinity>
Yuriko jumped up immediately, and grabbed her pack. Hannezu bounced nervously on the spot, and Zuku turned around glareing, forgetting the tangela for the moment. <Who's there?> challenged the big pidgeotto. <Introduce yourselves and die honorably>
<Er, you mean "or die honorably,"> Hannezu suggested quietly.
<Pshaw. It's all in the show,> the bird said haughtily to cover his mistake.
((Okay, Krishas pokemon, Leer, who is a bit of a skirt chaser, saw a girl on the Route between Goldenrod and Ecruteak. That girl was my character, so my character(s) responded. This is much more loose and free than most of the other RPGs around here. Yes, there is something of a plot, but the players shape it, going at their own pace, and interacting with the other players.
For example, Yuriko is wandering around Johto trying to learn special battle styles. That's her goal and plot in life. My other character, Deru, has a driving need to be in Ecruteak. Perhaps they'll meet when they get there, perhaps one or another of them will have gotten held up by something, and they'll never meet. Each of their goals however, will affect the general plot of the RP. The only thing that is fixed is the Setting, 12th century Johto. You can have your player appear wherever he likes.))
Krishas wondered if now would be a good time to run...But she doubted she could outrun a bird pokemon, and anyways, Leer had been somewhat rude. Even if it wasn't rude, not really, if you had gotten to know him. She inched foward into sight, still holding Leer. With her hesitation and shyness, her voice seemed to be even quieter, as she spoke. "I'm sorry. Leer isn't really that rude...Not really."
Of course, her attempt at smoothing things over was burnt out by Leer, as the Kabuto stared at the other girl, and made what could only be attempts of a Kabuto flirting look. Which looked more like...a leer.
Petalstorm huffed, though she didn't leave Krishas. Even if the bird pokemon were somewhat against her type, she wouldn't leave her friend at the mercy of these pokemon. Not sense one of the phrases she had heard was 'and die honorably' and Krishas simply had no skill at doing that.
"Zuku, lay off," Yuriko said informally, and rather rudely. The pidgeotto turned, and made a face at his human friend, but fluttered up to perch on the same tree Yozuku was using.
The white and red garbed girl bowed in greeting to Krishas. "Hello, sorry about Zuku-san's manners. He likes to fight. I am Zephyr Yuriko no Violet."
((My Japenses is entirely self taught and crappy, but basically she just said that she was Yuriko Zephyr from Violet City with the whole backwards name and the "no" which is basically like "de" in Spanish. I think ^^' Ask Nyaa-chan. This is why fangirl Japanese is bad.))
((Hee, good thing I know enough of my spanish to actually know what 'de' is. XD))
Krishas made an awkward bow in return, blushing in embarassment. "Oh...Uh, it's okay. I'm, uh...Krishas. Um, Krishas Etherstence." She didn't really come from anywhere, not since she hadn't been home in quite a long while. At that thought she wondered if maybe she ought to go visit her family.
Petalstorm took over the conversation, since she thought that Krishas was doing a fine job of appearing less intelligent than she actually was. <I'm Petalstorm, and that-> She sniffed, <Is Leer. For obvious reasons-simply ignore him, and he'll behave himself. Sooner or later. It is a pleasure to meet you.>
<Um,> Hannezu volunteered, feeling slightly braver seeing the other grass type, <It's good to meet you, Petalstorm, and you too, uh, Leer.> She retreated again to the safe spot behind Yuriko-sama's legs.
Zuku fixed Leer with a beady eye. <I'd better not have to work too hard to ignore him making passes at Yuriko-sama. Unless, of course, he wants flying lessons.>
"Oh, be quiet," Yuriko said affectionately. "I think I can handle a few keen stares. I --"
The wind driffted, and she suddenly began to cough, as fine dust hit her face.
<Brillant!> Yozuku snapped, opening his large eyes again (the noctowl saw no reason why he should not sleep whenever he wanted to, one of the advantages of being elderly). <That tangela your were pestering has decided to pester back. Use a gust, and get that powder out of here.>
Zuku's eyes widened, and he left the branch flapping hard, forcing the air currents to pull the dust away from the group. <All right, where is that little grassy pest,> the pidgeotto growled, glaring around.
Krishas hadn't gotten much of the dust, but enough to cause a couple of coughs. She was less worried about herself than the Tangela, since it appeared to be in trouble by the Pidgeotto. "Leer really isn't bad, really." She didn't want her friend to end up flying. Kubuto, after all, did /not/ fly.
Petalstorm was unaffected by the dust, and instead was more interested in Hannezu, keeping an eye on the rest of the group of the Hoppip, the Oddish ventured closer, <Hello.>
Leer stuck his tongue out at Zuku, waving his limbs in a taunting matter. Before he ended up tearing up at the eyes from the Tangela's dust, and burrowing into the sleeves of Krishas's kimono.
Jason sighed as the slowed down to see a bunch of people and pokemon. "Leer really isn't bad, really." he heard one saying. Waving his hands, he smiled. "Hi I'm jason and this is Nyaa.So what are you all doing on this fine day?"he asked. Turning to Krishas, he smiled. "Leer is a useful move."he said calmly.
Name: William Sparks
Age: 20
Occupation: Going to Ecruteak City to become a banker
Description: He wears the clothing of a rich mercent's son. Although he likes to wear an old medallions that he claimed to have found in the woods one day, hidden in the folds of his shirt. He is a pure blond yellow hair, with blue intelligent eyes, as descriped by his mother, who would also say he was also rather handsome. Alas, William does not dare go agianst his mother, and that is how he is usually talked about.
Personality: If you think the words suck up. Proud and arragant. You would be sorely mistaken. He is nothing like that, although he has to keep up the facade in front of his father, he is rather caring to the ones below him. He is also rather smart for his looks, which can been seen when he talks to schoolers at times, when he was in Goldenrod before this trip.
History: Okay, even though he is only 21. William Sparks has lived a rather interesting life already. For one thing, his father is a banker in Goldenrod and just recently decided to send his son to help open a new bank in Ecruteak City. Of course, William wanted to learn from the Elm Clan, who was visiting the Goldenrod area for new research about some strange dwindling of the ancient gods. But both his mother and father wouldn't allow it. So he was packed up and sent to the city, another thing is that he is to be expected to continue the work of his father, that of making the small family clan richer. However, he just wants to learn history, mainly on what significance is held in a rather beat up old gold medallion that his father would have sold, since it was not their family heirloom to begin with for more profit so he could invest it in more banking. That is why he had excepted to go to Ecruteak City, to find out about that. Unfortantly, he has no true friends with him on his trip, so he has no one to voice his fears or concerns to.
Pokemon:
Due to the nature of the "wild animals" in the words of the head of the Sparks clan. William has yet to either capture, or befriend a Pokemon.
William was walking down the road, the only thing that he had been able to negotiate out of his father, was that if he was to go the the City of Ecruteak, at least let him see what land he might be able to acquire for them... this was just a ploy for him to get to walk to the city. He was looking at all the leaves and underbrush, and listening to the calls of different Spearow, Murkrow, and other bird gods, but he didn't have time to dwell on that, he would be expected in Ecruteak in another two days. He however, being rather new to hiking and not knowing the dangers, found himself, rolling down a meadow hill, having twisted his ankle at the top of the hill trying to use it as a short cut to Ecruteak. He soon rolled into the back of the tree that had Yokuzu perched in.
He was able to mutter out, "That was fun." a goofy smile on his face before his mind became blank and his eyes saw dark. His chest was rising and falling, and he was breathing fine, his back would have a big bruise on it, he had only passed out from being so dizzy.
((Sorry, I have could think of nothing better to do, then show that he was not use to hiking like he thought he was.))
Yuriko was red faced from the coughing, but soon the white powder cleared, as Zuku flapped his mighty wings. The wind whipped up unnaturally quickly, and blasted toward the tagela, spinning the grass type around, before releasing the vine pokemon, who sat down heavily, looking dazed and confused. The pidgeotto fluttered excitedly on the ground when he landed, his beak agape in a bird smirk.
<Yuriko-chan, can I eat him?>
Yuriko continued to cough for a few moments, her almond eyes filled with tears, as she shook her hand at Zuku.
"No," she gasped. "Just -- gasp -- put him back -- wheeze -- where you found -- him. Dratted spores. I'm sorry about -- this, Etherstence-san."
((Don't worry, Matt, we'll get to you. I just want to give ee time to respond or see the senseless shape in the road. ^^))
Krishas looked worriedly at the Tangela, "Oh, don't hurt him, please!" The fact that she could be heard fairly easily testified to the fact she was honestly worried about the poor grass pokemon. Well, poor in her mind, anyways.
Falling back to her usualy shyness, she shrugged, "Mmm...I'm pretty used to spores..." It was true too. Pokemon got scared when they were hurt, and not all of them realized she was trying to help them.
