William looked at the snappy Dragon. "Uh... Ma'am... if you are looking for a great trainer, then you need to wait for a while, because they do not grow on trees, but rather, come from the same stock that you just insulted, every trainer was at one time or another a weakling who might not have known even how to throw a Pokeball the right way... but today." here he stopped for a dramatic pause before continuing. "Today, they could be the most revered trainers around, Lance, and Clair come to mind, they were once everyday trainers like you and me, training and getting stronger."
William didn't fully realize it, but he was like other Hamlet's in his family in that they all feel like it is up to them to help bring understanding to the world, William however focused on a different aspect then his grandfather or as he called him, troubled brother, that is Pokemon and Human friendship. "So, give her some time, who knows... I could be talking to the next greatest Dragon Trainer this side of the Kanto Mount Moon range." He smiled at the last sentance.
Suddenly he laughed. "Also, the Name is William Hamlet." He hoped she had not heard of his family before now.

"All right William," Carra replied. "You already know my name, but you can call me Carra, and this is Morath."
<And he's an idiot who knows nothing,> the bagon grumbled.

William was barely visable on bristling, he didn't like being insulted on his intelligence. "Oh really... tell me my Bagon friend how many documented Pokemon are there?" He glared at the Bagon as if challenging him to a contest of knowledge. He didn't even acknowledge Carra at the moment.

<Why should I? There are plenty more that haven't yet been discovered because they're smart enough to stay away from your prying eyes,> Morath challenged. <You humans don't even know what's really important, with all of your maths and numbers.>

"Oh?" William said with a raised eye brow. "In that case Ms. Know it all, what is the most important thing then? Besides you forgot the pursuit of knowledge, I may be good at numbers, but I am far better when it comes to Pokemon in general." He was hiding it, but this Bagon was getting on his nerves... and that is hard to do when his hot topic button were like, two big things, insulting his intelligence and Legendary Pokemon.

<You wouldn't understand, boy.>
"Morath, please!" Carra tried to interrupt.
<Well he wouldn't. You need imagination to understand,> Morath sniffed contemptuously.

"I have imagination... I just use it for particle use, that is all." William shot back. "I can enjoy a play or a movie... even a good book even, Even the great professors are not focused totally on research, why Professor Oak writes poems... of the Hiku variety if I remember correctly." He was beginning to enjoy this little debate. "I also enjoy good debates, and this conversation could become could become one."

<None of those things demand imagination, kid,> Morath took up her typical lofty pose. <Debate is all grounded in fact, haiku is a matter of form, and whether you can enjoy a book, is irrelevant. I bet the books that interest you are things with titles like: "The Life Cycle of the Male Dunsparce.">

"Try something more along the lines of... A space Frontier... or Space Pokemon... or maybe, Freedom Star." All of those titles were sci-fi, all of them requiring imagination.
"Or if those are not good enough, what do you think proves one has imagination?" He asked in a voice that showed he was quinuinly interested in learning what she thought.

Rii looked from the bagon to the trainers and back again. She'd grinned a little at the slowpoke remark, though it was more of a polite way of trying to share in a joke she didn't really find funny. She didn't plan on letting Az bite anything that moved. Well, unless it was a battle.
"Grumpy much?" The words were muttered, and obviously directed at the bagon, whom she remembered being introduced as Morath. It was a bit past time for her to introduce herself and Az, but she would anyways. Because she had no clue why she shouldn't, "Um. Yea, I'm Desirii-Just Rii for short, and this is Azrag, or just Az."

<You don't seem to get it,> Morath continued to berate William. <Reading words on a page -- no matter what they mean, is not an indication of your ability to imagine things. In fact all of the answers that you have given have only gone towards proving that you're a hide bound idiot with no idea about the real world that is not given to you in facts and figures.>
Carra sighed. There was no way she was going to be able to stop this argument, she was certain. "Hey, Rii. I don't suppose you know a surefire way to stop mini-t-rexes--,"
<I am not a miniature dinosaur!>
"from being loud, rude, and annoying," Carra inquired.

"Oh really?" William huffed at the Bagon. "So... what is it that makes imagination? Going off on a wild Pysduck chase of legendaries? Is that enough of an imagination?" He was letting his anger get the better of him. "Well, those trips get you killed. At least with facts and figures I know the range of the risks that I am taking and so, I will never be caught unprepared. Or... How about writing your own book? Is that sign of an imagination?" He was fuming now. "Because I am... it is fiction classification of writing, and guess what! I am about half way done with getting a rough draft finished. Is that proof enough that imagination comes in different ways."
If anyone from his old school was here right now, they would be edging away, because he was getting in one of his moods that he would not let something go until he proved that he was in at least some minuscule way right... or... maybe they would think he was enjoying himself, finally having a way to vent his anger and frustration about his brother who he thinks will die young.

((Hehe. Doldrum Time!))
Screams of a struggle became nearer and nearer to Carra, William, and Rii, before a flushed looking trainer and his Beldum zipped past them. Pascal was hanging on for dear life as the pokemon moved around to its heart's content.
<The trees, Fascal! More tries, Fascal!>, Doldrum roared, the pokemon still unaware that it was misspelling its trainer's name.
"Deep breaths...deep...breaths...", Pascal muttered, just avoiding smashing into trees that dotted the Beldum's path. "Doldrum, stop! STOP!!!!!!", he began to yell, before adding, "I have the trees!" His quick thinking saved the day, as the Beldum considered the statement, slamming into a tree. Both pokemon and trainer fell to the ground, Pascal's weight stopping Doldrum from moving anymore.
<Trees...trees....trees...>, the Beldum gasped, before giving up its failed attempts at freedom, whispering, <No more trees..> The Beldum now calm, Pascal rose where he lay on it, patting its hard exterior gently.
"You need to learn some control, Doldrum", he sighed, before turning to the others, "I'm Pascal Fasch. This...is Doldrum. A little different, this one is..." Smiling despite the pain and frustration, the trainer leaned back against the tree, one arm around his Beldum.

Morath, who had decided that she did not like this human, snorted. <You've lost your temper. Not only are you stupid, but you're a hot head--,>
"Morath, be quiet!" Carra yelled. She looked around, and then breathed out. "Thanks. Hello Pascal. I'm Carra, and this loud mouth -- who will be quiet -- is Morath."

Rii considered the question for a moment, before deciding that only one thing would have a possibility to work. Well, two things. "Hold her under water? Nah...Bit dangerous. What about gagging her?" Sticking her tongue out at the bagon, which wasn't very intelligent, but she had Az to protect her from angry bagons, she sat the shellder down and then sat cross-legged next to him, electing to look up at everyone and sit, rather than being nearly at the same level as everyone and standing. "Hello Pascal. I'm Rii-That's Az." She poked the shellder's shell as she spoke his name, clarifying who she was talking about.

"Oh, you came by way of Miteinjan, didn't you?" Carra asked excitedly. "I got Morath at the lab -- well, more like Professor Kauri forced her on me. Not that I regret it, of course," she glanced at the bagon quickly.
<Feh. You're a really bad liar,> Morath crossed her arms and turned her head away.
"Fine, I'm not certain it was the best decision that I ever made," Carra sighed. "I think I might have been better able to handle a shellder."
<You think? Hah! That's a good one,> Morath rolled her eyes.
"I'll feed you to a gible," Carra threatened. "Be pleasant for five seconds in your life, will you?!"

Rii nodded, "Yea, that's where I came from. Those ads told a bit of a lie, don't you think? The island doesn't seem all that great to me."
Morath really was quite a handful. Rii was quite certain that she preferred her spacey shellder to the bagon, rarity or no. In any case, what use was a bagon to a person who wasn't overly worried about training, if you couldn't be friends with it?
"Az is easy to handle. Well, except during battles. He spaces out." She pointed at the currently spacing out shellder, who was daydreaming about being underwater and enhancing said dream by blowing bubbles into the air.

"Er --," Carra looked uncertainly at the froth covered pokemon.
Morath just looked superior. <Betcha don't regret me now.>
"Well, I wanted the female shellder," Carra stressed. "Oh well, are you out of school yet?" she inquired, changing the subject. Morath went kicking at some pebbles.
