"I know, I was just saying. I won't make her battle, that I will guarantee you," Rain says, glancing at Viola. Yeah, I'm defffinately getting a bad vibe from her, I've got to get Shasta out of here, she thinks.

"Really? If you are going to care for her so much why have you been treating her like an object since you go here?" Viola asked suddenly, looking Ruin straight in the sun glasses. "I like Shasta and I don't want to see her go to someone who will keep her imprisioned in a pokeball. She's blind and mute and to deprive her of the ability to feel the air on her skin and hear the voices around her is just wrong. I don't want to see when you come to Florak that Shasta hasn't been allowed the freedom and protection she deserves," Viola began to walk closer and closer to Rain, "And if I find out that you have stolen her life from her, and won't even bother to so much speak to her, then cutie, I'm gonna wait for you in the long tall grass, and you'll wish that you'd never been born by the time I'm done with you."
She was now nose to nose with Rain, now. "And I'm saying this because even though you appear to have dragon pokemon that you supposedly care for, I haven't seen one of them, and all you've been is cold and demanding since you got here. Oh, and take off those ridiculous sunglasses," Viola's hand moved like a whip, yanking the black lenses from Rain's head. "It's not unbearably bright in here, unless you're a vampire."

((If Ruin out-posts me, then I can easily delete this. ^_^))
"Viola, Viola, Viola, my, aren't we a bit violent today?" Nurse Violet Shaw said smoothly as she stepped into the room (she made sure to catch her breath in the hallway so as to appear as professional as possible). "Not fitting for a nurse...I'm sure you will apologize to this nice young lady. Now here I was going to back you up on your assignment...oh dear, now what?"
She approached the administrator. "Hello, Mister O'Hara, how are you? I am so sorry for my subordinate's attitude about all of this - I assure you she is usually," she shot a glare at Viola, "much better behaved. In any case, aside from her little blip just now, she is quite qualified." She held up some papers. "In fact, if you need more proof, I decided to print out my and her notes on the subject of saltwater dratini and inbreeding-related mutations from salamence. While she is quite inexperienced and, apparently, short-tempered, I'm sure she'll be able to do a lot to help Shasta in Florak."
Violet then smiled at Rain, not recognizing her from her short hospital visit. "Oh, hello there. I'm very sorry, but I'm afraid I've had my eye on Shasta for awhile. She's the perfect subject to study for aromatherapy and harmful genetic mutations. And I do apologize for Viola's nasty comment just now." She glared again at Viola. "We will be talking about this later."

Rain had stayed calm during the incident, her guise had now fallen, "I would never harm a pokemon intentionaly, now I see why I was called in to deal with this. You are too stubborn for your own good," Rain says, and forcibly snatches her sunglasses back, tucking them into her trench coat. "How do we know that your telling the truth?"

Before Viola could say anything, Violet shushed her by putting her finger against the younger woman's lips. She smiled once she thought Viola got the message, then turned to Rain. "She's pretty stubborn, yes, but she's a talented nurse. She has all the identification and recommendations she needs - or would you like me to call the School of Veterinary Medicine at Sapphire City? I'm sure any of the professors there would love to back me up when I say Viola Ceae would be perfect for Shasta. But how do I know?"
The woman flipped her hair (it fell out of the bun, so she had it in a low ponytail), and walked over to Samantha. "Hello there, mind if we actually meet the little girl?"

((Minor Violet auto - hope ya don't mind.))
Samantha looked shocked, but it was out of her hands - literally. Mister O'Hara came and gently scooped the confused little dratini up, put a pillow on the floor, and placed her on the pillow. "Alright, Shasta, time to meet these people."
The dratini cooed a bit at Violet, who'd sat down next to her. Wait a minute...the dratini remembered her voice! The woman had come in to deliver some medicine and to a check up...she was nice. She cooed more, and nuzzled the nurse's outstretched hand.
O'Hara laughed. "She's a sweet girl - too bad you aren't going for her, Nurse Shaw!" He then looked up at the two younger girls. "Now then, I want both of you to see if Shasta likes you. Both of you have valid identification and seem at least somewhat capable of caring for her. But I'm not about to let a little baby go to somebody she doesn't get along with."

Rain nods in agreement. "My thoughts exactly, Shasta should decide, not us," she says. I've got a 50/50 chance, Rachel's not going to like me playing this gamble, Rain thinks.

Shasta looked up in the direction of the two bickering women. They both sounded kind of scary...

Violet grinned, and tilted Shasta's head a bit toward Viola. "I don't know the other woman, but this one right here is my subordinate nurse, Viola Ceae. Don't worry - she sounds mean, but she's nice on the inside. Like me. Remember me, right? I gave you candy."
She winked at O'Hara. "Sorry. But it was medicated...babies like things that are sweet, you know?"

Shasta cooed, still with a wary undertone, up at Viola. The nice nurse liked her (what did subordinate mean again?), so did that make her okay?
She wriggled into Violet's lap so she could get in a better position to hear Viola. She sounded nice at first, but she got scary...but she got scary over her, so would she be nice?
Sammy just leaned against the wall, too horrified to really watch.

((She's an NPC, we don't mind if she's used by others.))
Viola rubbed her temples. A headache was growing. And she had disappointed Violet. She was so ashamed. Kneeling down she sighed, and scratched her behind one white wingy ear. "Sorry I lost my temper like that, Shasta. I don't like people who don't let their pokemon out for a bit of breathing room, that's all. I hope you like her, as she's probably going to be your trainer. You don't mind, do you?"

Shasta cooed. Viola sounded nice...and Violet said she usually was. Maybe she wasn't scary after all!

Rain shakes her anger off. "Shasta, I know this might've been off to a rough start, but in a strange way I do care about you. I know people who can help you, people who can care for you. How can you really be sure of what is going to happen to you?" Rain asks, and then a thought comes to her, she turns to the workers. "Is it possible that we could have a psychic pokemon come in here, and see if they could tell both of our intentions?"

Violet grinned, and flicked open her two Pokeballs. "Just one psychic? How about two?"
Sophie and Shannon, her two psychic-enabled cats, appeared in a flash. Sophie the delcatty sniffed Shasta haughtily while Shannon the persian hung back a bit, scared of the strangers.
"Sophie - you're a bit telepathic, what are Rain and Viola's intentions?" Violet asked.
Sophie sniffed the air, glowing a bit as she unleashed her Hidden Power. "<Hmmm...well, Rain wants to save her from some sorta bad thing, and Viola wants to use her as testing for aromatherapy in Florak. Plus, she thinks Shasta is cute, and always wanted a baby. Since she's...you know...she can't really have on in a normal sense...>"
Violet laughed. "Wow, Viola, I never knew you had a motherly side."

O'Hara smiled. "You both seem like wonderful trainers."
Shasta paused, sniffing both of them. She heard them...and...
She cooed in Viola's direction.
Samantha gasped. She was really going away?
O'Hara smiled. "It's settled then. Miss Ceae, you are the proud mother of a baby dratini! Oh, and that'll be...how about 5000 pyen?" He laughed heartily as he gave her the Pokeball.
((Sowwy Ruin.
Statses:
Dratini Gender: Female Nickname: Shasta Ability: Shed Skin: each turn there is a 1/3 chance of curing the status condition Attacks: Wrap, Leer Notes: Shasta, while shiny, rare, and from a powerful line of dragons, is unfortunately suffering from egg-related complications. Her father was a Salamence with a problem related to inbreeding that rarely gets passed to dratini offspring, but unfortunately, Shasta has it. We also do not know much about her mother, but we think complications may have arisen from the mother being a Jentan saltwater dragonair. Shasta is blind, and cannot speak (though she can make cooing sounds). She is relatively happy.))

Viola looked down as pink rushed to her cheeks and ears, clearly visible with her hair pulled back. "It's not funny, Nurse Shaw. Why'd you have to say that, Sophie?"

Rain's face fell, she had hopped that this wouldn't happen. But she smiles, and shrugs it off. "Well, you win some, you lose some," she says.

Nice save, Sophie, Violet thought-congratulated as she looked at Rain. Man, "you win some and you lose some," she sounds heartless.
Thanks, and no kidding, Sophie thought back to her trainer. Well, that was fun, we got the little test subject, and can I go back to sleep now?
Sure. Violet returned her two cats, then stood up as Viola took the Pokeball. "Thank you, Viola. Now then, meet me in my office in the hospital. I'm afraid we have to chat a bit about your attitude." She then walked out the door of the Eggery and up to the hospital to wait for Viola to come.
((To the hospital we go, Purr-chan! ^_^))

Rain had already left, pressing a button on a small device as she leaves, which drops to the ground, and takes the shape of a small spider, which moves over to the walls. I hated to do that, but I still don't trust these people. I've got to see what their intentions are really, Rain thinks.
