The Eggery
Jenta's "breeding center", right here on the sixth floor of the Nishihara Building! Here the coos of little baby Pokemon are heard all around, and happy staff workers look after eggs, breeding pairs, and newly-hatched Pokemon alike. You may come to leave your Pokemon to be raised by the staff (for a small fee...but hey, if they procude an egg, you get it cheap), you may adopt an egg or a newly-hatched Pokemon, or you can come to visit the adorable babies or volunteer. Either way...awwwwww!
Just be warned, though...the staff here is very protective of the eggs, trainer Pokemon, and babies. They've had some problems with "bad eggs", thieves, lying poachers, etcetera, so don't be surprised if they get defensive. Or ask you a series of questions to determine whether or not you're fit to adopt. This is more true for babies and eggs with more information, though.
Also, to keep in ordinance with the Jenta Egg and Premature Pokemon Laws, you may only buy a baby or an egg once per week. However, eggs created from your own Pokemon do not count.
The "daycare":
If you have two Pokemon you wish to leave with our "daycare" staff, simply fill out the form below and give it to one of the receptionists on the counter to your left when you walk in. In addition to giving your Pokemon excellent care, we do very basic training (so they do gain levels). This is great if you're going away...or if you want an egg! Eggs are sometimes produced, so if you're Pokemon like each other, you might get lucky!
Form to fill out (for each Pokemon, they can take up to two):
Species:
Nickname:
Level:
Group:
The prices for the "daycare" are:
Base fee (per Pokemon): 100 pyen
Per level gained: 75 pyen
Egg (if they produce one): 500 pyen
The eggs:
The Eggery often ends up with unhatched eggs that nobody claims. These are available for adoption! However, some eggs are a mystery...sometimes the staff has a clue or two, sometimes they know one parent, and sometimes they know nothing at all! But do you still want one? (They're numbered for easy access...you can't really give an egg a name!)
The eggs:
Egg number: 003
Description: a light brown with a few blue triangles and red circles.
Timeline: it arrived a little while ago, and we think it's around halfway through being an egg. So it may be a little while, but not too long, before it hatches.
Notes: we know it's in the Humanshape egg group, and we're 99.9% sure it's a fighting type. Other than that, we have no clue.
Price: 3250 pyen
Egg number: 004
Description: a pale yellow with a black circle pattern around the middle.
Timeline: almost through its egg period. It should hatch very soon!
Notes: we know it's either a pichu, mareep, minun, or elekid. We don't know which, though.
Price: 3500 pyen
Egg number: 005
Description: a green shell with a red stripe near the top, and the bottom half is white.
Timeline: it arrived a short while ago, so it will take awhile to hatch.
Notes: we think it's a ralts, but it could be a kecleon, natu, or exeggcute.
Price: 3750 pyen
Egg number: 006
Description: a forest-green egg with three vertical blue stripes
Timeline: we think it's a little through half it's egg-span. It could be a short while, or it could be a little longer, but it won't be too long.
Notes: we're positive it's a grass-type, but other than that, we're clueless
Price: 3000 pyen
Egg number: 007
Description: a pale light green
Timeline: it may take a little while...a trainer traveling abroad found this in the wild, so we aren't very sure yet
Notes: we're suspicious it might have something rare-ish inside, since it was found near a dragon hunting ground in a different region. Dragons are pretty picky with their offspring, so it could be something draconic. However, we aren't sure if it is healthy (it could suffer from genetic degeneration from lack of a good gene pool), so be warned...we aren't even sure if it will survive past a week (this happens with inbreeding sometimes).
Price: 3750 pyen
Newly-hatched Pokemon:
These babies are up for adoption, since nobody claimed them. Some of them aren't ready just yet (they have to be past a certain maturity level), but with some of them, you may put a hold on them. Not all of them, though...
All Pokemon are level 5, Group 1.
You may visit the babies any time!
Newly-hatched Pokemon for adoption:
Azurill
Gender: Female
Nickname: Zuri
Ability: Huge Power: attack power is doubled
Attacks: Splash, Charm
Notes: Zuri came from two wild Marill, and we kept the egg. She's ready to be adopted, and very sweet. She does cry sometimes, though.
Price: 4000 pyen
Magby
Gender: Male
Nickname: Pico
Ability: Flame Body: on contact, the opponent has a 3/10 chance of being burned
Attacks: Ember, Thunderpunch
Notes: Pico's father was an Electabuzz, but sadly, neither trainer could keep him. He is a little aggressive, whiny, and picky about things, but is a very good boy with the right "parent". He is ready to be adopted!
Price: 4000 pyen
Nidoran
Gender: Male
Nickname: Kintaro
Ability: Poison Point: opponent has 3/10 chance of being poisoned on contact
Attacks: Leer, Peck
Notes: Kintaro's egg was abandoned outside the building, so we took it in. Nobody bought it, so we hatched him. He hatched recently, so we can't put him up for adoption just yet. You may put a hold on him, though. He will be ready for adoption around the 15th, we think.
Price: 4000 pyen (2000 pyen up front for the hold, 2000 pyen when you pick him up)
Meowth
Gender: Male
Nickname: Windsor
Ability: Pick Up: has a 1/10 chance of finding an item after every battle
Attacks: Scratch, Growl
Notes: Windsor was found in Sapphire City next to a dead persian mother. He had just hatched, and we think his mother (probably a stray) was hit by a car. He is perfectly healthy, energetic but pretty friendly, and looking for a good home.
Price: 4000 pyen
Successful adoptions/hatchings:
On one wall, the staff has a list of all the adoptions. There are currently two columns: one for eggs bought (and what they eventually hatched into) and one for adopted babies.
Egg adoptions: (character - egg description - status/hatched Pokemon)
--- Jason - plain white egg (known: flying egg group) - shiny spearow
--- Irae - light-blue-with-white-stripe-and-blotch egg (known: swablu) - not close to hatching
Baby adoptions: (character - Pokemon)
--- Zach - shiny Zigzagoon (Tripod)
--- Viola - shiny/blind/mute Dratini (Shasta)
