William appeared in the light of a Teleport within the lobby of the Hospital and right away began to call out for help not wanting to move the strange green Pokemon mammal that was on his lap it seemed. "HELP, HELP, I NEED MEDICAL HELP ASAP!" He didn't care at the moment, he was worried and not sure if a teleport was harmful to the Pokemon or not... he just wanted to help the poor Pokemon.

A nurse looked up, her green eyes dull and bored.
However, once she noticed the strange espeon-like Pokemon, she brightened with excitement. Another one of the "espleafs" that had escaped...how fortunate for her! And this one wasn't dead yet...even better.
The nurse, a woman in her low-thirties with black hair tied up in a bun and wearing a standard nurse's outfit, rushed over to William. "Oh my gosh, is she okay? What is she?" She lowered a hand to the Pokemon's face. "We've seen a couple Pokemon like this...strange combinations of espeon and leafeon." She smiled at William. "You're lucky she's a girl. Of the two we received earlier, only the girl lived. They're more stable, or something."
She turned back, and called for the chansey behind the desk. "Chance, we have another 'espleaf' here. I need you to get a stretcher."
The large pink Pokemon nodded. "<Sure thing, Violet.>" She then disappeared into another room, reappearing with a rolling stretcher and two more nurses, one a man in his late forties and another a female machoke (who was wearing a nurse's uniform). The four of them carefully lifted the "espleaf" onto the stretcher, and the three newer-comers rolled the unconscious Pokemon into an IC unit room.
Violet smiled kindly at William, holding out her hand. "Here, come with me. The others are going to give her some drugs to keep her stable...you're lucky. She must of evolved either really recently or somehow managed to get somewhat-compatible espeon and leafeon DNA. Espeon and leafeon aren't extremely compatible...but somehow we've been getting a couple hybrids." She stood up, and lead William to a waiting room. "She should be okay. We have medicinal Pokeballs we've had some success with...and we have some drugs that can stabilize her. We may have to do some surgery, but she should be fine."
However, Violet was thinking something more scientific inside. So this one seemed okay...the ones we had for testing that escaped were already functioning somewhat okay, she thought, tapping her lip. I should probably pass on this information to somebody working for Project Double Stone, even though the 'espleafs' don't technically use their procedure. Hmm...I'm going to need to inspect this one more closely.
((Mrahahaha. Pre-plot AND pre-Sinnoh drama! w007!))

William was looking at her, "A hybrid?" He was smart, maybe too smart for his own good. "Well, at least they are getting away from their creators... but... could I stay near her? I think it would be wise to have someone that she knows at least a little bit during her recovery." He was trying to think as to what was going on, a hybrid... and one that seemed to be not very good. His face suddenly hardened. "Save her, I don't care if I have to pay bills for fifty years, I do not want to have a Pokemon die on my watch." He seemed to be very worried now, his face having softened to a point where he looked a little ill. "Please, just do what you can." here he lowered his voice, "I would advise you to keep this quiet... I feel that if you go talking to everyone, you might tell someone working for those that created her... so be careful."

Violet smiled serenely. "I'll keep that in mind..."
The machoke suddenly walked up to them. "<She's stable now. I have the Pokeball and the medicine.>"
Violet nodded, and took the items the machoke had. She then turned to William. "Okay, so this green Pokeball," she held up a Pokeball that had green where the red usually was, "is medicated. Be sure to keep her in it at least six hours per day. The easiest would be to leave her in it overnight. And this," she held up a bottle of small white pills, "is her medicine. As long as she takes two pills per day, she should be fine. You should probably give her one with breakfast and one with dinner."
She looked at her computer, and brought up the statistics of the Pokemon. "You should probably wait a bit before going in to see her."

William nodded his head. "Thank you very much. I will keep that in mind... six hours a day... overnight will be easiest, and a pill with her breakfeast, and dinner. I understand... I helped my brother take care of our grandfather before he died." He spoke matter-of-factly without really choking up, showing that either, he was a strong kid, or it happened a long time ago... or he was having a mental barrier up when talking about the past.

Violet lifted an eyebrow. She then realized she'd forgotten to enter his information into the computer. Sitting back down in front of it, she asked for his trainer card. Once he handed it over (it was regulation, after all), she scanned it in. Her green eyes scanned the screen, and she smiled. He already had another shiny Pokemon? This would be interesting...

William was looking around the lobby and waited for the chance to see the Pokemon that he had just rescued, he was also looking for the Ralts that had teleported him here, hoping the Pokemon was save and sound, he didn't want the Pokemon scared and what-not... He also felt a little worried about having a hybrid in his team... what if those that created her, got wind that he had her, would they come after her?

The ralts suddenly reappeared with a Poke-candy bar, grinning. "<One of the nurses gave me some candy! I wandered into this zubat's room, and we played a game. Then she asked the nurse if she could share some of her candy, and the nurse said yes. So I got candy!>" He said triumphantly, holding up the half-eaten candy bar like a trophy. "<Hah HAH!>"
Violet smiled, and checked her computer. "Your Pokemon is still unconscious, so you have some time to wander around. Would you like to visit some of our patients? It's good for them to have visitors." That, and she wanted an open opportunity to check the hybrid herself.

William smiled at the Ralts. "That was nice of them, very nice indeed." He then looked at the nurse. "Only if I can get a temporary pager, because I want to know the moment that she is awake, I don't want her going crazy on people, but I wouldn't mind meeting this Zubat that you talked about Ralts." During the conversation, he had moved his attention to the Ralts, then to the Nurse, and now back to the Ralts. He mustn't get dizzy with all his head turning it seemed.

Violet nodded. "We have an intercom for a reason, you know. We'll let you know when she's awake." She then nodded at another nurse, who took William and the ralts to the zubat's room
Once inside, a small blue form in the bed perked her ears up. "<Hello?>" She asked. "<I think I hear Ralts...are you Ralts? Are you back to visit me again?>"
Ralts grinned, and bounded up onto her bed, bouncing it playfully. "<Yup! Hi, Zubat!>"
The zubat grinned toothily, giggling as she bounced up and down. "<Yay! You're back!>" She then swiveled her ears toward William, twitching her one wing. "<Oh? You brought a friend! Yay!>" She beckoned William over to a chair with her single wing. "<Please sit down! The more the merrier, that's what I always say.>"

William only nodded his head, knowing that the sonar will pick up his nodding his head. "Yes, the more the merrier." he then sat down to where the Zubat had motioned for him to sit down. "So, how are you doing?" He was rather nervous, he had never really liked hospitals in a way, they felt rather stuffy, and so formal... and in some places, dull. He was glad to meet a cheerful face that didn't have all the seriousness that he had seen before.

The zubat chittered happily. "<Oh, I'm doing very well, actually. They had to amputate my wing and leg, of course, but the surgery went very well. The pain has really gone away fast, which is really great. My other leg is a little weak, but they say they're going to look into physical therapy or prosthetics. Either way, I'll be excited once I get to leave.>" She smiled. "<Sometimes they take me outside to the garden during the late evening. It's so nice outside! I can't wait until I get better enough to spend more time!>"
Ralts bounced on the bed excitedly. "<Oooh! You should pair up with a psychic type! And then - and then - and then we could make you go all zooooooom with our ownzing psychic powers! HAH!>"
The bat giggled. "<Oh, I dunno. The types don't match, but that would be fun, wouldn't it?>"

William couldn't help but smile a little at the thought. "That would be a scary and funny sight indeed... a Physic Pokemon using it's power to make you fly... that would be a strange and interesting... not to say the least fun sight to see." He liked the Zubat's sunny out look in life. He however couldn't help but think back to the Pokemon that he had brought into the Hospital, and he hoped the Pokemon was well.

The zubat giggled as well, which caused Ralts to giggle, and soon their giggling was full-blown laughter. After awhile it died down, and the zubat glanced around with her ears. "<So...what do you two like to do? What are your favorite foods? It isn't going to be luchtime for awhile, but if you're still around, you are cordially invited to lunch!>" She chirped with a graceful wave of her wing.
Ralts grinned. "<Yeah! Yeah! Hey! Do you have pie?>"
"<Apple and cheri!>" The zubat responded happily. "<I like the apple one better, though.>"

William took a distant look on his face. "Mom use to make the best cherry pie... of course gramps and my silly brother would get a pie all to themselves because they locked themselves in gramps study most days researching who knows what." He shook his head. "But of course...." He soon was rambling about friendly and good natured pie wars between his grandmother, and mother and who made the best pies... He also somewhere in there mentioned that he liked turkey sandwiches.

The zubat was about to say something when the intercom turned on with a "ping!"
"Will Mister William Hamlet please report to IC Unit 5-C, please?" the scratchy female voice asked through the crackling static. "I repeat, Mister William Hamlet to IC Unit 5-C. Thank you." Then, with a lower-pitched "pong", the intercom turned off.
Zubat glanced towards William with her eyeless face. "<Is that you? Did you have a Pokemon here? I hope they get well soon!>"
Ralts teleported over to William. "<Ya want me to teleport you there? I can totally do it!>"

William looked at the Ralts. "Yes please. I would like that."
His Picu smiled and hoped back up onto his shoulder as he looked at the Zubat. "I do as well, I do as well." His voice sounded sad and slightly worried as to the future of his new pokemon.

Ralts nodded, and hopped over to William. He waved at the zubat, shouting, "<see ya later!>" as the group disappeared.
They reappeared in another room very similar to the previous. However, this one had more machines hooked up to the glazed-looking Pokemon on the bed. The "espleaf" looked calmly at William, the knock-out drugs still taking awhile to wear off.
A nurse walked over to William, jotting things down on her clipboard. "Okay, we've managed to stabilize her genetic tearing. She's a lucky one - most die. However, if you keep her inside this medicated Pokeball at least for four hours a day," she placed a Pokeball with the top-half light blue instead of red into William's right hand, "and give her one of these pills with her breakfast and dinner," she then placed a translucent orange pill-bottle into the other hand, "she should be fine."
The Pokemon in question looked lazily toward the nurse, her head to fuzzy to be confused.
The nurse continued. "She cannot speak, and has trouble understanding what you say. Her psychic powers warp her understanding of reality a bit, and she shouldn't battle. However, as long as you keep her under watch, don't speak too loudly or fast around her, and show her with your actions that you care about her, she should be okay. I would recommend taking her back here in a month or so, or if any new problems arise, for a check-up."

William only nodded his head. A flash back of watching his family gathering around his grandfather as he sleep in a hospital bed after being hit by a Toxic attack, losing the use of his legs and his grandmother and mom and dad being told how to care for him... His mind just kind of blanked at the orange bottle of pills and he numbly nodded, unable to make a connection to his past hospital event and this, only he was the one caring for a Pokemon and he silently made a promise to care for this Pokemon and to maybe one day help her to make a full recovery.
He looked at the nurse and his voice barely a whisper spoke. "I will do my best ma'am. I will do my best." He silently then pocketed the pills and the Pokeball. "How long till she can be released from the hospital?"
OOC: Who gets to control her? Just would like to know.

((You may if you wish, but if you want me to, I can. Basically...she'll act like a cat. She loves William for helping her, though she doesn't quite understand what he did...if you need detailed instructions, or something, I'll give 'em to you. ^_^;; ))
The nurse glanced at her clipboard. "Oh, she should probably stay here for a couple days or so. Come back for her...oh, why don't we say Saturday? Or after, depending on what works best for you. We can reevaluate how she's doing, then probably release her in outpatient status to go with you."
Meanwhile, Ralts realized something, and poked William. "<Heeeeey...what about me?>"
