The Game Team Battle Room:
This arena, which is a standard indoor arena, is trainers from Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, or Orre may fight each other. You may fight with your teams from any of the video games, as long as they have been approved by a mod in the main board of the Challenge Arena.
Rule 1: Godmoding = automatic loss
Moderators, unless they are challenged, will only check on these battles every once and awhile to make sure nobody is godmoding. So please be kind to your fellow member, and treat it as an actual battle between two normal trainers. Also, your teams MUST be posted in a thread for your game teams, and be approved by a mod. Changing them without approval (especially by giving them unlearnable moves) is considered godmoding. Failure to respect this rule will result in an automatic loss.
Rule 2: The Battle Room is for BATTLES
Any logistics for the battles must be decided beforehand through PMs or in the main board of the Challenge Arena. Any boards here looking for challengers will be moved. Likewise, OOC comments should generally be shorter than the battle description...or, even better, moved to an OOC battle discussion thread in the main board.
Rule 3: Haruka/May isn't from Kanto, and neither is your fan character
Please try to keep your characters the same...if you were a girl trainer from Johto, please describe her as having the same appearance as the sprite in the game. After all, a girl who looked like that trained your darling Typhlosion-and-etcetera, so you should respect her appearance by giving it to her! You may, however, use the name you give your character in the game. If you want to be a girl and you were playing Red/Blue/Green/Yellow, then have your appearance either be that of Blue from the Pokemon Adventures manga (who was based off of unused game artwork for a female trainer) or the heroine from Fire Red/Leaf Green. If you were playing Gold/Silver and want to be a girl, use the appearance of the herione from Crystal. If you were playing Colosseum and want to be a girl, use the appearance of your shadow-Pokemon-seeing partner, and if you were playing XD and want to be a girl, use Jovi's appearance.
Rule 4: Common sense is a good thing
Try to THINK before you set up a battle...challenging another member's high-leveled team of all legendaries is not a good thing to do with your pre-fourth-gym team. You may, however, choose to elevate all Pokemon's levels to level 100 (or just not involve levels) to keep level-differences from affecting the battle; HOWEVER, you may not change their moves. So think about it...a level 24 Charmeleon is going to still have weaker moves than a level 100 Blastoise, if not just because of a lack of good TMs in pre-fourth-gym Kanto versus post-credits Kanto.
Rule 5: Prizes
Just like in the Rental Team Arena, you do not use your Jenta character or their Pokemon, so likewise, none of their Pokemon gain experience. However, if you wish to wager items or pyen on the battle as a prize, you may. If you do not wish to do this, then the loser gains 200 pyen as a consolation prize for their Jenta character, and the winner gains a 400 pyen prize as well.
