The Member RP Battle Room:
This arena, which is a standard indoor arena, is where Jenta trainers can fight each other. This is only for member-against-member battles; if you want to fight NPCs in arena-style battles, go to the Sankaku Island Colosseum.
Rule 1: Godmoding = automatic loss
Moderators, unless they are challenged, will only check on these battles every once and awhile to make sure nobody is godmoding. So please be kind to your fellow member, and treat it as an actual battle between two normal trainers. Failure to do so will result in an automatic loss.
Rule 2: The Battle Room is for BATTLES
Any logistics for the battles must be decided beforehand through PMs or in the main board of the Challenge Arena. Any boards here looking for challengers will be moved. Likewise, OOC comments should generally be shorter than the battle description...or, even better, moved to an OOC battle discussion thread in the main board.
Rule 3: You always learn!
The level-gaining thing will be handled differently in the RP battle arena. You may choose to not have levels gained (like if you're fighting with level 24 Pokemon and don't want one to suddenly get bumped up to a new group), or you may choose to have levels gained. If you do, this is how levels will be dealt with:
- If you defeat a Pokemon with a lower level than you, you gain 1/2 a level
- If you defeat a Pokemon with the same level as you, you gain 1 level
- If you defeat a Pokemon with a higher level than you, you gain 2 levels
- If you lose to a Pokemon, you gain 1/2 a level
Rule 4: Common sense is a good thing
Try to THINK before you set up a battle...challenging another member's level 24 Charmeleon isn't going to be a good thing with your level 9 Squirtle, even with the type advantage. Also, the group rules must be respected, so your level 25 Group 2 Pokemon can't battle somebody else's Group 1 Pokemon, even if their levels are similar.
Rule 5: Prizes
You may decide to only battle for experience, in which case, no prizes will be given (other than levels, as described in Rule 3). However, if you want to fight for prizes, it must be agreed upon by both members beforehand. Also, unless you have permission from a mod, the prize must actually be OWNED by the member who gives it. So no fighting for a Moon Stone if neither member actually has one.
