Setting: Er...it's a maze that's underground. They're rocky tunnels. Which means...pretty much only ground and rock types go in here, with an occasional ghost or steel type..
Available Pokemon: (the levels range from five levels below to two levels above that of your highest level Pokemon)
Common: (51%) -- Geodude (1-17) -- Aron (18-34) -- Diglett (35-51)
Uncommon: (44%) -- Trapinch (52-62) -- Nosepass (63-73) -- Sableye (74-84) -- Mawile (85-95)
Rare: (5%) -- Dunsparce (96) -- Larvitar (97) -- Croagunk (98) -- Onix (99) -- Beldum (100)
Note: When you enter the tunnel, a Pokemon will come up to you and be your guide. They will not attack you ever, and will sometimes give you hints during your battles. They are there to help you find your way around the Underground Maze.

POKEMON MUTATION ALERT:
Woot, flying traps! Or not so flying. Corwin is investigating a new mutation, everyone.
Species: Winged Trapinch
Type: Ground/Flying
Ability: Hyper Cutter or Arena Trap
Researched Knowledge:
(From the Journal of Corwin)
More mutated pokemon, and it's another potential dragon type, so I'm the one who gets to go out to the Underground Maze, and slog around the cave-ins hoping to catch sight of these trapinch. Normally I'd be happy to do it, but why are they underground? Why? I don't know how Bahti stays sane.
Anyway, there is a newly mutated pokemon wandering around. It's a trapinch that has already gained it's wings from the vibrava form. When I first saw one I was ecstatic. It used its wings to crate massive blasts of wind that could cut through rock. The sheer attack power this pokemon possesses is amazing.
However, when I approached most of these trapinch ran away. They are extremely shy, and it appears that capture is unlikely. It took me two days (or seven meals at any rate, it's hard to tell time down in the maze) to track down a winged trapinch that would speak to me. That was when I received a shock.
The tough wings that the trapinch have become torn and worn down due to dragging in the tunnels and getting ripped by rocks and such-like. Although they can create powerful winds with their wings, these trapinch will never fly, and are unlikely to be able to if they evolve. As flygon mate in the air this might mean that this species is just made up of trapinch, as the other forms can't mate -- but perhaps there is another way for them to do things. If any evolve down here we'll have to see what's up, and how the species will continue.
Another problem that we discovered, is that when taken to the surface these trapinch are horribly sunburned. My companion didn't seem to mind staying in the dark, as she quite likes her home, however, I believe this is further proof for my theory that dragon pokemon are evolving to become less attractive to trainers. Hopefully we'll get the message eventually.
