William smiled, "Those that are weak agianst Elecktric types are Water, and Flying types, their is no third type. the only type that has an advantage is rock and ground types.... other then that... I don't believe I have seen a thrid type for having an advantage over electricity.... however due to the way Steel conducts electricity... even though most of the stuff I have read... I would think Electrike type would have an advantage over Steel.." he then stoped waiting for the approval or disproval of the Professor.

"Ah, very good." He nodded his approval. "Completely correct. And there is a bit of speculation about Steel's position with the Electric pokemon, but most scientists agree that it's not a major enough advantage to note."
"Third question," Professor Cherry continued, clearing his throat. "How to Pichu evolve, and then how do Pikachu evolve?" It was a simple question, but one would be surprised at how many trainers missed it.

William cleared his own throat... " Pichu evolves when they are ready and when they are very happy with you... with Pikachu into Raichu... with a Thunder Stone." William smiled.... happy that he knew this by heart.

"Quite right." said the Professor happily. "Now tell me, if your Pichu was level 8, and was battling another Pichu, what would be the best moves to use?'

William seemed preplexed after a moment.. "Does it know any breed moves? or is it a wild Pichu? Because it would depend for the two diffrent Pichu." William felt a little nervous... but he wanted a little clearification first before he answered. of course he was now regretting saying that.. sometimes you need to go out on a limb first.

"The opponent is a wild Pichu." The professor clarified. "So no bred or TM moves."

"Thank you.... err.. are you battling with a wild or bred Pichu?" he was turning a little red..... mainly because he was embarrest that he wasn't as clear as he had hoped he had been. "I am sorry that I didn't clearify in the first question Professor." He had his head bowed in shame.

"It's quite alright." He replied pleasantly, unfazed by his embarrassment. "You are battling with a bred Pichu."

"In that case...." William said smiling, "I would use Double slap... it is a little risky but if the Pichu is lucky enough he or she could get in a few more then one hit upon the Pichu.... I would try and stay as far away as I could from electric type attacks because it would hurt himself or herself with it." William then took a breath after his speal about attacks and waited.

"Correct." The professor replied, "Next question...we are on number...five, right. Fifth question. Which pokemon would be the easiest match for a Pichu: Wingull, Nincada or Spearow?"
((Gah, short post.))

"I think so.... err.... well.... it would be a Nincada.... because a Wingull is water and flying, and Spearow is a flying type as well.. so that leaves Nincada... it also helps that it is a bug and ground type, and ground types are imune to electric attacks." William stated with a smile on his face. However he was filing away things that he had learned, espeasially about the weather.

"Ah, excuse me, I must've worded that awkwardly..." He cleared his throat. "I meant which would be the easiest pokemon for the Pichu to win against."

"No problem at all professor... we all make mistakes." He then sighed and answered the question, "The Pichu would win agianst the Wingull, because it is a duel type of flying and water... a double mark of effectivness... of course the Spearow would be a nice match as well.... but Wingull is my answer." William said with a smile.

"Correct." The professor replied happily. "I believe you have passed the test, thus proving yourself worthy of a Pichu. Do you have any specific personality in mind for your partner-to-be?"

William smiled, "I wouldn't mind if you surprised me, but I honestly wouldn't mind.... err... accually, I don't want anything that would like a camera or scream at me for thinking that the myths are just that, myths." He was tired of all the debates he had with his grandfather and brother, he just wanted something that was calm calulating and something that wouldn't remind him of his coocky grandfather and just as misguided brother.

"Ah...so you are saying you'd want a more of a...logical personality?" The Professor asked, narrowing down the choices a bit. "So a Pichu a bit like yourself, yes? Logical, level-headed, intelligent...?"

"Yes.... if you must put it in that term, yes... but not a clone of myself... that would be freaky a Pokemon acting like myself.... errr..... anyway... I diverge, but...." William it seemed had gotten a little tounge tied about his speaking, "Err.... their isn't any stories of impending doom floating around is their? Concerning legendaries?" the way he said this, he sounded like he would scream in annoyance and dispair at hearing an yes.... he is fed up and sick and tired of hearing this and that about legendaries, he was asking just to get anything out in the open before he got too far into the journey. HE seems to be a little too fixated on facts and what you see with your eyes.
OCC:// no problem... I have posted short posts before.

"Not that I know of, no..." He tilted his head back in thought, tapping his chin impatiently. "Hm...then again, I stay in this lab most of the time, so I wouldn't know."
He turned on his heel, striding over to some sort of filing cabinet, rummaging through a few different drawers. Finally, he withdrew two pokeballs, turned again, and walked back over to William. "I have two Pichu here who might fit your description." He stated, giving each pokeball a small toss. Flash of light, and two of the small electric rats were on the floor between the two scientists. The one on the right almost immediately started scratching its ear, acting disinterested (although you could see its eyes darting over to William every few seconds). The second Pichu walked over to William's shoe, sitting down on it like some sort of chair, staring up at him.
"Ah, yes...well, they are still baby pokemon, so right now they're pretty much showing off for you...I can assure you, however strange they are acting now, these two Pichu are the closest to matching your description I currently have." Professor Cherry replied sheepishly, rubbing the back of his head.

William only smiled, as the one sat down on his shoe, while the other one... his eyes if they didn't lie, were telling him that the other one was looking over every now and then... he smiled and cleared his throat, "Okay... so.... who are you and what do you want to achive?" He asked two simple questions but he knew that some when asked simple questions could go into long dialogs, his grandfather would go on for hours on end chatting about what his goals were as a trainer and how they changed while still on the road... he pushed the thought down agian... even though he didn't admit it openly.... he missed the old man.... he was a good person that in a way help shaped him to be what he was today.... a person who persues facts and figures.... and if it so happen, disprove or prove the exsistance of legendaries.

The Pichu on his shoe open its mouth to reply, but the 'disinterested' one managed to speak first. "<I want to evolve until I'm a Raichu and be the strongest pokemon in the world. Much stronger than those fake legendaries everyone talks about. And my name is Arash, remember it.>" The electric pokemon squeaked, tossing its head a bit more than a little arrogantly. The voice, being a bit higher than normal, suggested that this Pichu was female.
"Well, at least that one doesn't believe in the legendaries..." the professor commented sheepishly.
The other Pichu, slightly annoyed at being interrupted, then spoke. "<My name is Wynn.>" The deeper voice, probably being male, paused, muttering something about being a much better name than 'Arash'. "<I hope to achieve...um...I just want a trainer, a friend, and to go out journeying. See the world. Learn new things. Stuff like that.>" 'Wynn' replied, still looking up at William.
((Eeeeeee...ja, you can change the names if you want, but 'Arash' means 'Hero', and 'Wynn' means 'Light'. (In Persian and Welsh respectively). So...uh, yah. *shifty eyes*))
