Isis scrambled down one of the cliffy areas onto a wider patch of grass. Her pidgey , Aero, was flying above her and was flapping hard to stay in the perfect position to keep an eye on Isis but also to look for approaching pokemon. Elliot, the torchic - the stubborn torchic - was scrambling down too. It squaked unhappily and sat down, refusing to go further. " Oh come on Elliot I only just got you and you dont like me already!" said Isis. The Torchic just turned its head away. " Would you fell better if we had a wild pokemon fight?" asked Isis. Elliot tilted her head, then stood up and nodded. "Ok, well lets hope Aero finds us something soon!"

Aero found a pokemon to fight, alright. It was a warm sunny day, and many birds were flying, and one crashed directly into the lower leveled pidgey. He spiraled down to earth in a bundle of feathers, landing on the road with a splat. He lay there for a moment, dazed, before bouncing upright, with anger in his eyes. <Alright yer idiot, watch where yer going!> he screamed up at the young female pidgey, and then turned his beady eyed glare on Isis. <I suspect you put her up to it, huh? Humans, all the same, interfering busy bodies.> |

Isis had ran over to help the bird pokemon when it lept up. Aero, who had flown down to see if it was alright - ok she had fallen down but still - landed on Isis' shoulder. "Er... sorry it was an accident I'm sure Aero didnt mean it!" she said. Elliot's eyes glinted over the bird. <Can I fight that?> she asked.

<Fight this, hatchling,> the bird growled, looking disgurntled.
He rose into the air, and flapped his wings wildly. The warm day quickly cooled, as breezes began to stream past his feathers and whirled all around Elliot, in a gust attack.

Elliot was swept back and would have fallen off the cliff if Isis hadnt grabbed her. Elliot lept back to the floor and aimed embers up at the bird in between words. <I'm *ember* no *ember* HATCHLING!!!! *very big ember!*>

((That's only one attack, right? Just a lot of embers flying in the air.))
Burning pellets of fire flew at the pidgey, hitting him one right after another. His feathers scorched as he fluttered backward, releasing a horrible stench. Then he was clobbered in the chest by the largest of Elliot's projectiles, which knocked him out of the air, and onto the road (again, as he was oh-so-pleased to note grumpily).
He struggled upright grimly, glaring at the fellow bird. His Pinions were singed, and would need to regrow before he could do more than fluttering short flights, and his gusts would be much weaker. Lovely.
<Hey, eggy, eat. My. Dust!> the flying type scratched at the ground with his small claws, and then flapped his wings to raise an immense sand attack.

The ember barreled through the dust and grit, before hitting the pidgey. His feathers went up in a whoosh of flame, and he dropped quickly to the ground, rolling to put out the fire. A few moments later the last of the glowing filaments had been extinguished, and the blackened bird lay unconscious.
Isis's pink pokedex beeped, and the read out told her that Elliot had defeated a level 23 pidgey and had gained 1/2 a level, which was some consolation, because four sentret were loping up the path. The lead sentret stopped, seeing Isis, and flipped up on his tail, looking serious.
<Stop. You can't come down this way any further. Strange things have been happening and it's not safe.>

"Why what happened?" asked Isis, worriedly. She had always been caring to pokemon so if something had happened she would be there to help. Elliot was leaping up and down happily because she had won a battle. Aero had flown down to the male pidgey. <Are you ok?> she asked, flapping her wings to make a gust to revive him or try to anyway.

((Actually, Mori-chan, the Pidgey would have had to be level 25...and that meant that your Pokemon gained 1 level instead of 1/2...^_^;; ))
The pidgey stayed pretty unconscious...but rolled over a bit in the wind. Meanwhile, the woods were pretty near by...and the wind rustled the leaves of a tree. A small, acorn-like Pokemon dropped from said tree, a little ticked off from being woken up. Nevertheless, the curious little acorn waddled out over to the rocky area (seedot rarely went there, but what the heck), and spotted Isis, Aero, Elliot, and the fainted pidgey.
"<You should either catch it or leave it be,>" the seedot piped up.

"Er yeah sorry," said Isis. "You want me to catch it Aero?" Aero nodded. Isis grabbed a pokeball and tapped the pidgey.

The Pokeball snapped shut around the bird, shook a few times, then was still.
Isis' Pokedex beeped as it gathered the data about the pidgey, then displayed the stats. They were:
Pidgey
Gender: male
Level: 25
Group: 2
Nickname: you choose
Ability: Keen Eye: accuracy cannot be lowered
Attacks: Gust, Sand Attack, Twister, Featherdance
Personality: A bit violent, gruff, and tough. He gets a little snappy at people when they do stupid things, and gets pulled into battles all too easily. He is, however, a good battler (since he enjoys beating the stuffing out of his opponents). Deep down, he's nice...kind of...
The seedot stared at the trainer. "<Huh. Seems like a weird bird.>"

"Er yeah you could say that," said Isis. She grabbed the pokeball off the floor and clipped it to her belt after releasing the pidgey inside. Aero flew over to it and landed on the small ledge that the new pidey landed on. Isis was smiling as she had caught her first pokemon but then turned back to the seedot. "So can I help you?" she said cheerlily.

I suppose you could say, to be precise, I started on my mother shrifty, since all the actions that have lead me to this point in time could not have happened if I had not bee born. For if I had not been born, I would have felt no urge to travel, and I wish to travel now. So if your could help me to travel then you would be able to help me. Isis blinked, her face blank. A few seconds later she figured out what it had said. "Oh right ok well do you want to travel with us then?" she asked signalling to the rest of her pokemon.

The seedot paused. "<Well, although I would like to, I think I should test you. Testing you would be good, since I could see if you are a good trainer. Going with a bad trainer would be...well, bad, for a lack of a better adjective. And to test you would most likely mean to battle you. Plus you get some training in, so that's a win-win, I guess I would say. And win-win situations are rather good.>"

It took Isis a few more seconds to figure out what he said. "Ok lets have Elliot!" she said. No-one came forwards. "Elliot?" she said turning round. Elliot was starting to climb down the rocks at the back. She landed on a ledge then looked up and folded her wings, turning her head away. "Please Elliot! If you want to evolve you need to battle!" said Isis. Aero flew down and spoke to her.
<Shes right you know. If you want to evolve you have to go up levels and to do that you must fight. ANyway you love fighting! You were always challenging everyone in the lab!> she said.
<Yeah but...> said Elliot. <Oh fine I'll fight!> She hopped back up the rocks and got ready for battle.
"Ok you first," said Isis to the seedot.

<Hmm,> the seedot, a rambler at heart, thought for a moment. <A ffire type with flying moves, and since I do not know a move to increase my special defense, then I shall have to protect myself the next best way.>
His shell began to shin in the light, as he pushed outward, thickening the cellulose walls of his acorn shell in a good old fashioned harden attack.

The seedot shrieked as the embers caught on his head. The harden didn't do much...
So instead, he focused on turning the oncoming attacks into energy...and started to Bide his time.
