((Please...type...correctly...use quotation marks, for one thing. Like your English teacher taught you.))
The professor glared at the girl. "You can't catch Pokemon until you have a starter, otherwise it's illegal," he snapped. "Be patient. Now then, you want an Electrike, then? Fine, what sort of personality and gender do you want?"

((Um...type...in an RP form? You know, like "Bob thought for a moment. 'I think I'd like a Pokemon with a calm personality, one who can battle.' He paused. 'Oh, and female would be good.'" That sort of thing.))

((Use. Quotation. Marks.))
"Alright, I'll go see if we have one," the professor grumbled. Hasty? He had one Electrike who could be described as "hasty", he supposed. Granted, she was also violent and moody at times, but hey, she asked for it...
He stomped out of the back room with a Pokeball, and placed it on a table. "Now then, one last decision for you. What color Pokedex do you want? Red, orange, yellow, green, light blue, purple, brown, or grey? We've run out of dark blue, white, and black, I'm afraid."

((Fine. I'll let you leave the lab, but I somehow doubt mods are going to frequent your route threads if you continue to post like this. Writer's Block can be an excuse for SOME posts, but not these. These have no excuses. These are spam. Feel lucky you're getting three Pokemon. Write. Like. You. Were. Writing. A. STORY.))
The professor shrugged, and grabbed the light blue Pokedex off the table. He shuffled into one of the back rooms with the Pokedex and electrike's Pokeball, then returned with a brown package. He promptly dumped this rumpled package into the girl's hands.
"Alright. This is your starter package. Inside you'll find your light blue Pokedex, a wallet with 5000 pyen - that's our currency for Jenta, a bag of assorted berries for on-the-road healing, five empty Pokeballs, and three filled Pokeballs. One of them is your Group 1 starter, your electrike. The other two are your Group 2 and Group 3 starters. Now then, follow me." He lead the almost-trainer to a wall with a large map of Jenta, and pointed to a dot marked "Jenta Laboratory". "This is where we are right now. As you can see, there are three routes leaving this laboratory."
He pulled his finger to the right along one of the roads. "This is Route 1, which takes you east to Sapphire City. There Arisa has an ice-type gym. Now, aside from mankey, there are very few Pokemon to catch along the way that give you any sort of advantage. Ironically, Arisa's one of the hardest gym leaders to beat. However, your electrike may help you with two of her Pokemon, so this route is a possibility."
He then traced the southbound route. "This is Route 3, leading south to Botan's grass-type gym in Florak Town. Along the way there are a few Pokemon you can capture to help you, and there are similar Pokemon with advantages found in Sankaku Island, the Underground Maze, and sometimes in the Altering Mansion. This may be a good route, though you'll need either strategy to work around your starter, or just dumping him for the gym battle."
Finally, his gnarly finger moved upwards. "This is Route 5, your final option. It leads you to the Settlement of Nga, which is in Jenta's mountain range in the north, via Sunstone Tunnel. In both Route 5 and Sunstone Tunnel there are many fire and ground-types who can help you defeat Bahati's steel-types, so this may be a good route, as well."
Professor Cherry then all but shoved the girl out the door. "Have a good journey and all that. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have some work to do."
And the girl was on her own.
((Here are the stats for your three Pokemon. It is up to you to copy and paste them into your character's thread in the Applications forum and keep them up to date. If you don't, the mods won't do it for you unless their feeling fed up/helpful. It is also up to you to keep the Pokemon in character, since they can talk and be understood. Just put brackets (< and >) around their talk instead of/in addition to quotation marks. Yes, that means you have to use quotation marks.
Electrike Gender: Female Level: 5 Group: 1 Nickname: you choose Ability: Lightning Rod: All oncoming electric attacks hit Electrike. Attacks: Tackle, Thunder Wave Personality: Hyperactive...but not in a sugary way. She is rather violent, and never thinks things through. She loves battles, and sometimes goes overboard on the violence. She also argues with everybody, and changes the topic of conversation so fast, it's hard to win against her.
Slakoth Gender: Male Level: 25 Group: 2 Nickname: you choose Ability: Truant: Can only attack every other turn Attacks: Encore, Slack Off, Faint Attack, Amnesia Personality: Lazy. He doesn't talk, doesn't like to battle (though he will if he has to), and just likes to sleep. He's usually in a passive mood, and sort of does what his trainer tells him to. However, he'd rather just be sleeping.
Grimer Gender: Male Level: 45 Group: 3 Nickname: you choose Ability: Sticky Hold: will not lose its held item Attacks: Minimize, Screech, Acid Armor, Sludge Bomb Personality: Selfish. He only does something if he sees that it benefits him. He likes battling because it makes him stronger, not because of party loyalty. So as long as his trainer gives him a reason to battle (or do anything), he will...if it benefits him.
So now you get to go to Route 1/3/5. Just make sure your posts are how we say they should be...or you won't actually get anywhere. And make sure you don't get MorriganFearn as a mod, because she gets really mad with spam-RP posts.))
