Mew watched as the Krabby he was facing used harden. ((It is using harden right?)) Staring at Grabber, he ordered him to repeat the move. Might as well weaken it as much as he could. Grabber nodded as it moved in to repeat the scratch attack.

William looked at the stranded Pokemon and looked around. He pulled out rubber gloves that looked like he brought them along to touch pointy object. they went well with the yellow rain slicker and rain hat he was already wearing, as well as the black rubber boots that went almost to his knees.
He began to speak calmly to the Tentacool. "Take it easy, I am not going to hurt you... I am only going to try and help you back to the water."
Jacks at this time had noticed the stranded Pokemon and came over to investigate the strange Pokemon.
<What is it? What is it?> He asked.
"A Tentecool, Don't touch it, it might attack." William said in a nervous voice.
<But you are going to touch it, why can't I?> Jacks asked, reminding William of a child.
"Because, I have the proper gear to handle a Tentecool. Besides, If I do not help the Pokemon, it will dry out and become food for the wingull."
<Oh... can I help?> Jack asked.
"Yes, make sure the Professor, doesn't find out I am going to do this, I don't want him to freak out... But if I am going to be a teacher, I must set an example by doing what I will someday teach, kindness to Pokemon."
<Okay.> Jacks said with a smile and began to look around him for any sign of the Professor.

What is that? Wind thought, seeing the whip-like arm in the pool. "Hey, isn't that a tentacool?" <Yeah, why? > Ciril questioned, wondering why a jellyfish would interest him. What is it doing? Maybe it waving at us... nah. "Their one of the few Pokémon that are classified as water / poison. Plus, if this one has the ability clear body, then it won't be affected by the stat-changing move of their opponent, like leer and tail whip. It's almost perfect for fighting lower leveled Pokémon that rely on those types of moves." The jigglypuff shrugged, or did the equivalent of one. He understood what he was talking about, but thinking about stuff like that is exactly why people and Pokémon get headaches. Better to be relaxed and thoughtless than to meditate on small things, but at least he got the answer he was looking for. "I don't want you to get in the water, or not right now at least. That would be going into its backyard to play. Instead, I want you to use sing from here. If it's asleep, then we can attack with pound." <Sounds like a plan to me, > He said, before taking in a few breaths to clear out his lungs. With one more long breath, he started to sing... It didn't sound all that bad to Wind, but still didn't seem to set right with his mind. The tentacool stopped waving his arms, hearing the noise filter through the water. Well that sounded nice. Very nice, in fact. Soothing even. He had been hoping that someone would come over before the tide came back in again. The tide was so slow, yet it was horrible to be its near constant victim. On the other hand it was the life blood of the sea. It's heart beat, going back and forth, back and forth, back and forth -- the sound of waves gently running up onto the land re-vibrated inside the jellyfish's head, causing him to sleep. ~ ~ ~ The chansey rowed with efficient deep strokes, and within half a minute they were shallow enough for the pink pokemon to hop out, and begin to pull the boat onto the land. She seemed to have no difficulty with the task, and held out her paw flipper to Sophie once the small craft was above the tide line. "Chan-chan," the egg pokemon smiled. "Channnnsey!" and she made little shooing motions towards the other trainers, before pointing to herself to say that she would be by the boat if anyone needed assistance. ~ ~ ~ Frederick's flailings caused the water slick tentacles to slip and slide from his short furred frame. He popped from the tentacool's grasp like a cork from a bottle, which naturally sent him tumbling onto the cool barnacle encrusted stones of the beach. <Bossy miltank,> the tentacool hissed defensively, drawing back the black ropes of muscle, which stung unpleasantly. Friction, and salt soaked spiky purple fur had only added to her painful injuries. Her head pounded and she knew that her delicate skin was now broken in even more areas. <Tsch,> she grunted, frustrated at herself for indulging in pity, as she felt poison run down her tentacles. Reaching out suddenly, she attempted to lash the rat across the back -- a poison sting in retribution for the friction sting he had unleashed on her. Behind Wendy, the professor's Mismagius watched the fight with interest. She rather would see the nice little girl with the teddiursa-jigglypuff get the tentacool that she wanted, and since this one wanted a spearow the right move was clearly for both to capture, and then trade starters. ~ ~ ~ The dark nails of the aipom deflected off the shiny carapace of the crab, only causing a few lighter lines against the red body, unlike last time. This attack made the krabby froth angrily, clicking his pinchers aggressively, before he dashed at the aipom, his claws opened wide for a vice grip. It was time the annoying monkey got what was coming to it. ~ ~ ~ <Hey, mammal,> the tentacool called to Jacks as Will began to lift him back towards the sea. <Does he normally talk to everyone like we're half retarded children, or am I the only one who gets that special treatment? I'm not stupid. Of course he's not going to freaking hurt me. And I'm not exactly going to sting anyone who is holding me above the ground, now am I? Sheesh. Why do Cervie's students all think us Miteinjaners are brain dead? So we can't talk to humans until we're captured. Big freaking deal. It's freaking rude to treat us like children -- I know that I'm older'n both of you put together."

Sasha delicately jumped out of the boat, Simpre and her buneary following. The girl looked about, heading randomly towards them. When she got near, she just decided to hang about in the background, she felt too shy.. She blushed, feeling hot and nervous as she watched them play. The girl sat down, bored, hoping they'd let her merge into the background while her pokemon played..

Jacks only blinked. <I think he is more worried about being scolded for being helpful, he is usually more understanding and doesn't treat people like that, nor Pokemon... though... it might be he is just afraid of being attacked... like being the way of feeding a Pokemon, but the Pokemon bites the feeder?" He remembered his mother saying something like that when he was really young, but it was fuzzy.
William only grunted as he walked to the waterline and soon was ankle deep in the water. "Jacks, since I do not have a translator, could you tell me the answer to my question? Is it deep enough to put you down into the water?" He asked the Tentecool directly, having overheard Jacks comments and his ears had turned red in embarrassment on his actions of how he treated the pokemon he was holding.

Carolyn, taking a deep breath as she reminded herself she couldn't change her mind, tossed the pokeball at the spearow. "Good job, Bear." She resorted to chewing on her lip as she waited to see whether the pokeball could contain the unconscious pokemon.
Sure, it wasn't likely that it would escape, but still...She was worried about it. Bear, sensing her emotions, patted her leg in sympathy, although he didn't much care whether the spearow was caught or not. He still didn't understand why they had to catch a pokemon for this test, or why his trainer was getting so stressed out over it. He was with her-what more did she need?

Frederick squealed as the purple poison sting struck him across the back, and he stumbled as pain blossomed across his equally purple body.
Wendy's eyes flashed angrily as she saw him lose his footing, and she swore under her breath in Mandarin. "Get back on your feet and get away from the tentacool temporarily, Frederick," she ordered, trying to peer over his body to see if he showed any signs of lingering poison effects.
The rat hissed angrily, then managed to find his footing on the rocks and skitter back over to Wendy. "<I don't think I'm poisoned,>" he wheezed - the attack took a lot out of him nonetheless. (After he said that, he realized he she couldn't understand him, and he just shook his head dejectedly.)
His temporary trainer glanced down at his back, double-checking to make sure his assumption was correct. After all, she did ace her middle school biology test on battle ailments and recognizing them. She even wrote her written portion on recognizing and treating lingering poison in a battle situation (and she got a perfect score on that section). "You're not poisoned," she stated, then looked back over to the tentacool. "I want you to tail whip it from a distance. It'll be easier to beat it if you minimize the chance of getting attacked up close. She'll probably be able to get you somehow from back here, since we have to stay within the legal battling distance for it to count, but the effects of her attacks should be lessened." Wendy sighed, crossing her arms. "At least she won't be able to use wrap quite so effectively."
The rat nodded, then dashed around the edge of the makeshift battlefield, swishing his tail towards the tentacool in an effort to intimidate and lower her defenses. His back still stung, but he had regained his breath. However, the rat didn't want to tell Wendy this just yet, but he wasn't sure if he was really all that enthusiastic about doing anymore battling after this one. He knew she wanted a bird of some sort, but they were rare, and his back hurt.
Stupid overachievers, he thought to himself as he continued to dance around the tentacool.

((Back...and Elroy's dialog will no longer be phonetic. It was fun, but just too tiresome.))
Elroy watched apathetically as the Sentret found itself quite disoriented. Guessing that the Wingull's screech had something to do with the pokemon's current state, the teen made a quick mental note, and turned his attention back to the battle at hand. As he saw it, despite the damage that had been inflicted upon the Wingull, things were still not in his and Ariele's favor. Internally panicking, Elroy decided to humor the female trainer. After all,
"Vivian, use Charm!", Elroy ordered, the Snubull staring confused at her trainer. "You know...be pretty....and tempting........just stop him with your eyes....."
<Affirmative>, Vivian replied, shifting to stare intently at the bird before her. Fluttering her eyelashes the best she could, the Snubull tried to match her move up with Elroy's command. Her piercing gaze was close enough to a seductive one, possessing sufficient power to have some effect on her foe.
((I'm assuming in my first paragraph that Gray Lady showed some signs of her confusion, like swaying and such?))
