<Come on Shihan!> Pai called excitedly as he climbed over a huge brick that blocked the path through the woods.
Tommy just jumped over easily, his height taking away the advantage of the fighting type's boundless energy. However when he saw what was beyond the brick he just stopped. The colossal ruin of the manion was astounding. Some of the walls were left, and even the roof in a few places, but they and the tower in the northern corner looked as if they could come crumbling down in a passing breeze.
"Woah," Tommy said, as Pai continued to race onward. "Hey wait, it might not be safe!"
<I'll manage,> Pai shouted back. <I'm strong, remember?>
Thunder rumbled far away, and then rain began to fall in a fine drizzle. Tommy jumped, feeling the wet on his skin. On second thought -- He ran for the ruin as well, getting inside at the same time as Pai.
((Er is this okay? You are allowed to wander around the mansion proper, right? Just not in the locked places.))

((Yep. Explore away. X3))
Suddenly, a jagged red line smacked into Tommy. Tumbling backward, it grew a green body to fill out the empty space in the air around the line.
"<Owwie,>" the keckleon muttered, rubbing her head. Looking up, she smiled at Tommy. "<Hi! Did you just move in here, too?"
Meanwhile, another keckleon lunged at the first one, and barely missed. "<Sis! Don't leave me!>" He whimpered, hugging the first one's arm. "<One of the dragons who used to be here was giving me a scary look!>"
"<Aw, sorry,>" she replied, hugging her little brother. "<But all the dragons are gone now! Or, at least I think they are...>"

Of course, when Tommy smacked into the keckleon he stumbled backwards as well, and landed on his duff. Pai glowered menacingly, and moved to stand in front of his shihan, his arms stretched out in front and behind him in a challenger's stance. This agressive stance didn't falter, even when Tommy broke out laughing at the keckleon, and picked himself up and dusted himself off.
"Are you two alright? Don't worry, Pai, they don't mean any harm," Tommy said, feeling brave and very mature.
He could tell that these were young pokemon, or at least they acted like it, and should be treated nicely. Yeah. He grinned, remembering an older trainer telling him not so long ago that he needed to make allowances for the maturity levels between kids and adults. Yeah. He was growing up.

The older kecleon smiled at Tommy. "<Yeah, I think we're okay...we came in here with a large group of kecleon, and are going to stay here for a few weeks before moving on. We are a nomadic species,>" she explained proudly before jabbing a green finger in the direction of the smaller reptile. "<My little brother and I just wanted to explore a little bit. One of the dragons that lived here before gave us some trouble, though. It was a little slow to leave...>"
Her brother shivered. "<So scary...>"
His sister nodded gravely. "<Yeah...>" Then she looked up with bright eyes at Tommy and Pai. "<So why're you guys here? Training, or lookin' for Pokemon? I saw a couple ditto on the way in, and there are some castform hanging out midway up those stairs,> she pointed to a crumbling stairway, "<but you can't go too far. They're kinda floatin' around this locked door. I don't think they can get in either...though one of them said they heard voices beyond it. So I guess somebody knows the way to get through.>"

"We're just training," Tommy replied, as Pai drooped. Aww darn. He'd have loved to have the chance to protect his Shihan from dangerous pokemon from the deep abyss. He kicked a loose stone mutinously. Why couldn't these Keckleon be evil? "We're planning to take on Arisa, you see. I'm new to the whole trainer thing, so I don't want to start out on any of the high leveled gyms until I really know my way around a battle."
<Hey,> Pai perked up, thinking. <If the nasty dragon's still around, I'm happy to kick nasty dragon butt, if you like. You can probably gain lots of experience kicking nasty dragon butt!>
"Um," Tommy looked uncertainly at his tyrogue. "I think they just said the dragon's gone now. Besides, I've heard that dragons are really hard to beat, I'd probably have to use Ora or Sentouki, Pai. You're a great fighter and all, but what if it's a charizard? Or a gyarados. They have mouths that are bigger than you are."
The tyrogue frowned. Drat it, Tommy might have point. <I'd still like to kick butt. What about these castform? Are they evil, and butt-kickable? Or ditto?>
"Um, I've never heard of castform before, but ditto are basically blobs of jelly. They're quite nice, usually," Tommy said.
<Phooey. There's no challenge in attacking jelly. Sentouki does it all the time when he tries to eat your sandwiches.>
"So that's where my lunch has been going!"

The older sister blinked. "<Um...the ditto change into whatever form you have and-LOOK OUT BEHIND YOU!>"
Another kecleon, posed and ready, lunged at Pai. "<Leave, static idiot!>"

Pai swiveled on one foot and turned, before ginning happily. He dropped back into a fighter's stance again. <All right! Challenge time!>
Tommy jumped to one side when the keckleon appeared almost at his elbow. "Pai, start off with fake out, and see if you can get him to flinch!" Tommy instructed, thinking so much for a relaxing place out of the rain.
Pai rushed in, feinting apunch frm the left, before spinning around, and actually delivering a kick for the right.

"<Oof!>"
The kecleon winced, his type turning to dark. The Fake Out caused him to drop to the floor, unable to move temporarily.
Staring up at the rubbly ceiling, he mused, "<I hope a brick doesn't fall on my head.>"

((Fake Out's type is now normal as of PD <huggles psypokes>))
Pai, who was not so interested in what was going on above his head, paused for a moment to considere the matter. It was rather hard to tackle someone on the floor. However, he ran up and then dropped on the keckleon with all of his puny weight.

With a tired "oof," the kecleon closed his swirly eyes, signalling a knock out.
A voice piped up from behind Tommy, coming from the little-brother-kecleon. "Um...that was a level 8 kecleon...so your Pokemon is level 9 now, I think..."
((Too lazy to write a long battle with that kecleon. >_<;;;; ))

((Um...it's been awhile, and I was waiting for you to finish up...but since your internet kinda went all broke-ish-ness, I'm giving you a reprieve.
I changed the 'Mansion Pokemon from shifters to Magby, Elekid, and Smoochum. However, I'm giving you up to one full week with Kecleon, Castform, and Ditto, since your internet broke. However, if you don't want a week with the old ones, or want a shorter time frame, that's fine...just tell meeeees. ^_^ ))

((I'm fine if you'd like to skip ahead to the "Baby" pokies ^^. BTW, since Pai's evolution depends on his stats, which depend on the different pokemon he meets to get Effort Values from, would you mind letting me face low leveled pokies rather than high ones when I'm using Pai? The more Battles he has the more interesting his chances at evolution become.))
<I am level 9, I am level 9,> Pai shouted dancing.
Tommy winced, slightly. He liked Pai's energy, but sometimes his enthusiasm was a little much. Enlarging a pokeball, he breathed in. "Pai, do you think we can handle an agressive pokemon like him? I'd like to have someone else to take up against Arisa, and," he scanned his pokedex, "Keckleon aren't exactly weak."
<I am level 9, I am level 9, I am level 9,> Pai pirouetted, and leapped over a fallen brick.
"Er," Tommy said. He could always release the pokemon if the keckleon proved too much for him. "I'll take that as a yes."
He tossed the pokeball straight at the Keckleon.

The Pokeball rocked a few times before dinging shut. Tommy's Pokedex read: "Capture successful. Statistics pending."
Meanwhile, the brother and sister and long since disappeared...and the mansion got very still...and quiet...
Well, except for the slight rumbling coming from below and above, but the North Tower and South Basement didn't change quite as often.
Tommy's Pokedex beeped again.
"Statistics compiling...finished.
"Kecleon Gender: Male Level: 8 Group: 1 Nickname: you choose Ability: Color Change: type changes to that of the attack that hits him Attacks: Thief, Tail Whip, Lick, Scratch Personality: A bit aggressive. He likes to fight, and doesn't generally get along with "static" people. He hates things that stay the same...which is why he liked it when the Altering Mansion had only changing Pokemon! Underneath his gruff exterior, he has a soft spot for babies, though, often acting like a parent to them. He thinks they're adorable."
((So if you go with the personality I picked for your girafarig, he'd get along well with her. ^_^))

((Akk! You changed the pokemon of the mansion on me AGIAN, and I was looking forard to having a team of babies to call upon! ^^ Grins. No matter. Er, and I'm making the alteration a bit more severe, because I want to.))
Tommy almost lost his footing as the floor shook, and Pai suddenly clutched his shin in a death grip.
<Shihan what's happening?!>
"Er, the storm outside is getting worse?" Tommy suggested, watching pieces of broken brick bounce their way across the floor. At his waist, on the belt clip, his new premier ball juddered free, and crashed to the flagstones. The sudden blast of white light of the pokemon appearing made both human and pokemon clutch at one another and scream: "<Lightning!>"
<Yes, that is correct!> a voice that obviously needed to learn that cheery, bell-like tones were not intended to be used as spooky, haunting voices said.
Tommy got a good look at the white mask staring back at him, and the breathed a sigh of relief. "Oh, it's just Shiri. Have you met Pai y---,"
Pai leapt from Tommy's shins once he was sure that the horse thing wasn't a lightning ghost, and dropped into a fighting pose.
<I won't let you harm my Shihan! Come forward and fight like a pokemon!>
<Why I shall, for I shall not let you hurt my Shihan! Avaunt!> Shiri braced her legs on the floor.
<Wait!> Pai called out, not dropping his pose, <let's get one thing straight. We can't fight to protect the same thing. He's my Shihan.>
<No, mine,> Shiri replied rebelliously, before her eyes met that of the tyrogue, and understanding flashed between them. <So, if he's your Shihan,> she began.
<And if he's your Shihan,> Pai continued.
<Then he's both of ours!> the young pokemon cried together in delight.
<Sister!>
<Brother!>
The girafarig and Pai danced around each other in the middle of the deserted hall, while Tommy looked on, completely bemused.
<Let's train together!> Shiri declared.
<Right! I'll show you the ropes,> Pai nodded, and they began to walk off through the ruins. <Pokemon beware!>
<The dastardly duo is here!> Shiri exclaimed proudly.
Tommy followed his two pokemon shaking his head, and smiling slightly. "The world is doomed."

((^_^ Haha! That made me laugh...Pai and Shiri are funny. ^_^))
"<It sure is!>" Came a cry. Suddenly, the air over Tommy's head grew cold as a large thing flew over... "<You aren't wearing green! I MUST PINCH YOOOOOOOOU!>"
And all of a sudden, a vibrava was after Tommy, spindly, thumbless arms out in a pinching-pose. "<Fear my greenness!>"
((Mwahahahah. I still haven't forgiven you...so you get a dragon. >:3))

((Nuuuu! Don't insult the 'bravi! They be locusts, not dragons! Funny thing, I'm happy with 'bravas and flyers, but the 'inches are: Nuu, annoying little beasts! I can't wait until Komodo evolves on Delmara... If he gets the chance to evolve o.0. Beware the adolesant 'bravi...
Also beware the hyped up MF. She ish crazy.))
"Yeghhhh!" Tommy nearly jumped out of his skin, and quickly crouched down to a more Pai-like level. "He's the one with the Head you should be pinching!" he pointed at his fighting type.
Pai glared. <Bad Shihan! I have enough headaches. Just let me get that over grown bug on the ground, and I'll show him who's boss.>
<Hah!> Shiri stepped in front of Pai. <My turn, then!Be astonished by my amazing jump-tackle-leap!>
She ran forward, and jumped in the air heading for the vibrava. Of course, this was a young equine on young equine-long legs, so the results might be catagorized as amusing. Or catastrophic. Either way there was probably going to be slap stick involved.

((Should I make it a bagon/shelgon/salamence, then? PH34R TEH GREEN DRAGONS! >:3 ))
The vibrava, who really shouldn't have been fighting those two anyway, laughed as the two Pokemon collided with her. She flew in loops in the air. "<Lots of not-green Pokemon! Hahah! MWAHAHAHAHAHA!>" With that, she zoomed around the party with much enthusiasm before lightly whipping up the ground below. The Sand Tomb spun around the two fighters, not doing much damage (she didn't feel like going all-out for a couple of Group 1 low-levels), but it certainly looked funny enough...
((Still haven't decided what group she is. But she's sure not Group 1...maybe not Group 2, either, since Trapinch don't evolve 'til level 35. ^_^;; But eh...'tis too funny to not let the Group 1s not have their fun...^_^;;;;; ))

Shiri, who after colliding with the vibrava had collided more heavily with the ground, scrambled to her feet, her hooves skidding on the sand, and her long legs flailing in all directions. Pai, for his part, was trying to fend off the individual grains of sand with quick movements of his palms. But not matter how fast he moved his arms and wrists, sand grains flew into his eyes, and stung his face.
<Shihan, help!> Shiri exclaimed, as she managed to find her footing.
"Right," Tommy reached for the second to last pokeball at his waist, and paused.
Pai, Shiri, Kimial, Ora, and then Sentouki... did he really want to send out his odd porygon? There was Angel in his final pokeball, but he didn't know exactly how useful she would be in a fight (she was pink for crying out loud, and you didn't send a Barbie doll-like person into battle). However, Sentouki would probably join the vibrava in whizzing around Pai and Shiri. Tommy's fingers skipped over Sentouki's pokeball, and grabbed the last one on his belt. "Angel! Um--," what were her moves again? Well, she was an ice type, so she should probably know: "Icy, er, wind?"
<Shihan, that's not the way to order moves,> Pain groaned.
However the sneasel slid out one silver claw. <It's okay, I know what he means, and don't worry, Tommy, I'll do my best!>
She turned to face the vibrava: <Hello, my name is Angel, and it's nice to meet you. I'm sorry about this, but I have to battle you.>
She quickly made a few passes with her hands, and a freezing gust of air blasted around the room.

The vibrava shrieked as the ice cut into her body and the wind tore at her buzzing wings. She panted, landing far away from the group. The bug-eyed dragon looked at her wings, horrified...they were frozen solid.
Angry at the pink ice-thing, she opened her mouth, and let out the only long-range attack she could think of - Dragonbreath.
Meanwhile, the mansion shook...but the frozen dragon wasn't lucky enough to disappear with the old, and be replaced by the new. So she just continued to let out the dragon-flames, oblivious to the new Pokemon wandering in.

<Yeeeee!> Angel exclaimed in terrified fear throwing her arms up to shield her face from the flames pouring from the vibrava's -- um, mandibles? The blue green fire slammed into her, rolling over Angel with a physical force.
"Angel, hang on!" Tommy exclaimed, worried for his Pokemon. "Use Icy Wind again!"
Angel, her eyes tight shut, nodded grimmly behind her arms. <I'll do it, Tommy, just you watch!>
She bought sher hands out, pushing the dragon flames aside, and then thrust one claw forward As if to guide her icy air around the flames to hit the part ground type.
