<What. Zer. Heck?> Pai stopped, scratching his head. <What is this thing?>
"Oh, I know what it is!" Tomma felt extremely proud that he knew something Pai didn't. He had never been the greatest in school. "It's an exeggcute! They're grass/psychi -- say, Pai, mind if Shiri or Kimial handled this?"
<What?! I can take on any fancy dancy psychic any day of the week,> Pai exclaimed angrily. <Watch me Shihan!>
He ran at the egg cluster, his foot swinging out to kick them. At the last second he whirled to the right, and brought his left hand out in an horizontal chopping motion, in a classic fake out attack.

All the eggs went "<oof>" in unison, then froze. They flinched...too bad for them.
Nina just whimpered. "<They're weird...scary...>"

"Pai, tackle! Don't bother with brick break," Tommy said, but Pai was already spinning around in the reverse direction. The small fighting type crashed into the pile of eggs, before leaping back.
Tommy breathed out, craning his head around to look at Nina. "Don't worry, Pai has it under control."

((Much too lazy to figure out what do have the eggy-poos do next. ^_^)) Then the eggs all fainted, and Pai gained 1/4 a level, putting him at level 9 1/2. But then they were carted away by something psychic... And then a chingling zoomed forward. "<I challenge you!>" she squeaked. ((Too lazy to look at the offered Pokeymanz... ))

<Hah! I accept the challenge!> Pai declared, taking up his awesome for-I-am-a-fighting-type pose. Like before it was rather hampered by the fact that Pai didn't really have any muscles to speak of. However, Tommy supposed it was the attitude that counted.
There was just one problem. "Um, Pai, I don't know what--,"
Pai did't wait around for his Shihan to get caught up to speed. Intead he drove at the bell type pokemon, his arm scything out to use his favoritest move, brick break.

The chingling squeaked as she was thrown into the grass. This caused Nina to whimper, seeing as she hadn't been looking when the chingling appeared. Now she had the added trauma of a fierce, mysterious wild Pokemon in their midst...it was almost too much!
The "fierce and mysterious" chingling then zoomed forward with an angry squeak, whipping out her ribbons to entangle her foe in a ferocious-yet-adorable Wrap.

Pai, who had been charging in for another brick break was neatly bound up in the ribbons, and tripped. He landed in the cushy grass, however his head still rang with impact. Struggling into a sitting position he began to furiously try to extract himself from the entangling wrap.
Tommy was flipping furiously through his pokedex when he bit back a groan. "Pai, she's a chingling. Another psychic type. Stop using brick break!"
The human glanced at the shrinking Nina, and winced. "It's okay. Pai can handle this."
<Huh?> Pai looked up, startled, before rising to his now freed feet. His arms were still bound to his sides, but he didn't need arms to attack. <Get ready for my charging tackle!> he yelled excitedly, and ran for the psychic type.

((Edit: Mori-chan! Let's have our characters be roomies for Dragon HS! )) The chingling squeaked, caught off guard. She smacked the ground hard, floating up woozily. She then threw her ribbons a little far left on her next Wrap...must have hit her head. Nina whimpered. "<Still...scary, though. Psychic-types always eat poison-types for dinner!>" Even she didn't know if she was speaking figuratively or not...

((Sure! Poor Charlie. Condemned to a roommate that speaks in a Californian accent... >))
"I don't think this one will. She doesn't look as if she has a stomach," Tommy joked. "Besides, if Pai had problems I can always call on Shiri or Kimial to help. You'll like -- well, Shiri's really wonderful once the bounciness factor is taken care of. Pai, finish her off with another tackle!"
Secretly Tommy was very pleased. He'd always wanted to say: "Finish _______ off with another _______." It sounded so trainer-y.
Pai dove out from under the weakly aimed ribbons and threw himself at the chingling head on, whooping like a little child.

The chingling was indeed finished off with another tackle, and fell into the grass without another word. Tommy's Pokedex indicated that he had defeated a level 5 chingling, gained 1/4 a level, and was now level 9 3/4.
Nina sighed with relief. "<Good...it was scar-YAAAAAH!>"
For at that moment, a Mime Jr. ran up with a smile. She grinned, then proceeded to do some sort of miming act...and failed, seeing as nobody had ever really taken the time to teach her.

((Mime's come in females? o.0))
"What is with all of these psychic types?" Tommy asked the air, trying to reach around to pet Nina as she shivered.
Pai watched the miming act in bemusement. <I dunno, Shihan. What do you think it's trying to say? Oh! Oh! Can I battle, can I?>
"Pai, she's a psychic type," Tommy began tentatively. "Aren't you a little tired?"
Pai was bushed. He had been feeling better thanks to berries that Tommy had given him, and the battles with the chingling and the exeggcute hadn't been that hard. The only problem was that he felt as if he had been running around in three different places at once. Which was of course, impossible. Anyway, he wouldn't ever admit to exhaustion in front of Shihan. Shihan was too important.
<I'm fine! Let's go get them!>
"Um, her, Pai. I don't think there are more than one of her," Tommy tried to point out gently.

((Yeah, they do. 50/50 chance, in fact. The whole "mr" thing is only in the English name...))
The mime jr. frowned. They didn't want to watch her mime act? Fine, then she'd have to go along with their little battling...
"<Confusion!>" she squeaked, placing her little white hands on her temples. Then she focused all the little thoughts she had into a confusing blast to throw at Pai.
Nina whimpered, shielding herself from the psychic attack by burrowing her head into Tommy. "<S-scary!>"

((Loud dramatic scream: Paiiiiiiiii!))
"Yeah!" Tommy agreed, horror struck as Pai was lifted off the ground and flung backwards by the telekinetic forces.
The Fighting type was slammed into the ground, and lay amid the dust and broke grass for a few moments. He sat up, his head wobbling from side to side. His eyes were still crossed as he turned to Tommy, grinning stupidly.
<He-eeeey. Shi---han. My head's all tinnnnngle--ly." With that, his eyes rolled up in the back of his head, and he fell flat on his back.
"Pai!" Tommy yelled, unable to think of anything else. Finally, his hand decided to ignore the blank signals from his brain, and he returned Pai to his dragon fist pokeball. Now. He had to make a decision. Mew, this was so complicated. Shiri or Kimial? Shiri or Kimial? Kimial knew a ghost attack, so he was probably the safest bet.
"Go, Kimial!" The pokeball flashed in the sunlight, and then the blinding white energy revealed the keckleon.
The green pokemon looked up at Tommy, and crossed his arms. <What do you want?!>
"Attack that Mime Jr. with lick!" Tommy commanded forcefully.
<Mime -- Jr.?> Kimial asked slowly, turning to look at the psychic pokemon quietly.
"Yes! It just killed Pai!"
<Oh, so now you want me to lick it?> Kimial said, deciding to be ornery. He didn't want to hurt the poor baby pokemon. She certainly hadn't done anything to deserve it. Not that he could let Tommy know that. <Pfft. I won't.>
"Kimmmmmial," Tommy growled, but the chameleon pokemon merely stuck out his tongue at Tommy. "Fine!" Tommy glared, "I'll use Shiri!"
However, Shiri appeared from her pokeball before she was even called. <You rang, Shihan?>
"Yes!" Tommy exclaimed. "That psychic pulverized Pai! I want you to--"
Lightning crackled from Shiri's eyes as she swung around and glared at the Mime Junior. <THAT WAS MY BROTHER!> This her wild battle cry, she charged at the psychic type, lightning wrapping around her body in a spark attack.

The mime squeaked as the electricity-ridden tiny giraffe slammed into her, throwing her back. She got up, twitching a bit and sparking with the remnants of the oncoming attack. Wow, that hurt...
She wobbled forward, swinging her hands back and forth. Suddenly, the remnants of the Spark shot towards her hands as she continued to perform the Copycat maneuver. "<Copycat!>" she squeaked, hopping forward as the Spark ran around her body. "<Spark!>"

The mime blasted past Shiri, electricity ripping into the girafarig's lightly furred side. She reared, screaming in pain. It was the first time that she had ever been hit, and it hurt! Her front hooves landed on the ground with a thud, electricity rippling over her skin. Her ear flattened, and her tail frowned, as she stood with her forelegs splayed. Lightning crackled around her for an instant, and then she was charging down the grassy right after the mime jr. sparks still coursing from her.

"<Eeeks!>" the mime squeaked, caught off guard. She winced, feeling rather weak. "<Co-conf...confusion!>" With that, she focused her pain and suffering into a weak little psychic blast, aimed at Shiri's mind and body.
She was hurt...and obviously couldn't think clearly, since a Confusion wouldn't do much to a girafarig.

Shiri turned around in a long skid that tore up the high Sanakaku grass. The telepathic-telekintetic attack slammed into her nose, causing the briefest of headaches. This only served to make the mad giraffe madder. She shook her head angrily, and psycho-kinetic electricity popped all over her body again. She was going to stampede that annoying mimette into the dust!
She set off at a lightning charged run.

The mime was knocked out, causing Tommy's Pokedex to beep.
"Level 10 mime jr. defeated. Your level 5 girafarig has gained 3 levels, putting it at level 8."
Nina sniffled. "<Good...job...>"

((Lazy cheater ^.~ Jo0 just want me to be at Arisa's Gym ^^))
Shiri tapped her hooves in a celebratory dance. <Didja see me, Shihan? Didja? I'm just awesome! I gained happy levels.>
"Yes, very happy," Tommy nodded, feeling very parental. "Now come here and get a berry." He carefully lifted his pack and Nina from his back, and put both of them on the ground. Rooting around in the bottom pocket produced the berry bag. He tossed a sitrus berry at Shiri, and then looked at Nina. It didn't seem fair that Shiri got something when the nidoran had nothing. He handed her an oran berry from the bag's magical supplies.

"Aaaaand...jump!"
Two girls lept off their birds, spinning through the air. They dangled just above the ground before letting go of the ropes their birds held. The human twins clapped twice, and the bird twins dove towards the ground.
One went for Shiri, and one went for Tommy. The Shiri-aiming bird slammed into the girafarig, knocking her out instantly (he was, after all, over forty levels higher than she was).
The other sent his talons straight for two of the Pokeballs. One, containing a Pokemon, he threw off Tommy's belt, causing the sneasel to appear in a dazed flash. Unfortunately, the bird who just knocked out Shiri went for her, taking her out in a well-aimed Sky Attack.
Then, quick as a flash, the bird's twin broke Shiri and Angel's Pokeballs with a crunch from his talons.
"Ready!"
"Ready!"
Then the girls cartwheeled over, jumping into the air. Each had an Ultra Ball in their arms, and when they reached the zenith of their jump, they threw them. The girl on the left captured Shiri, and the girl on the right caught Angel. Once they landed, they rolled over to where their ball lay, scooping it up.
Once they began to run away, their respective bird followed them in the air. Once they were about fifty meters through the tall grass (their running wasn't amazingly fast), the bird grabbed his girl's raised arm in his talons, bringing her into the air and away from the scene of the crime.
