(Actually, there's no type advantage against King, from experience, it takes between 3-4 hits to take down a Pokèmon five levels below without a type advantage. But, you're the mod. )

((I'd go with three, and I don't think the geodude would go down with three hits from your Pokemon...she'll be weakened, but she won't faint until at least one or two turns after King faints. Next time, just level up the Pokemon you want to use to at least two levels below the cap...even then it's sort of pushing it, in this case...))
The geodude pushed herself off the ground with her rocky hands, lowering the impact of the blow with the momentum. She then rolled back over to a boulder, and scooped up some rocks. She then promptly threw said large rocks at the nidoran, creating a barrage of boulders.
Matthew just gave a grunt. His opponent should have picked a higher leveled Pokemon...

(Nah, mine's too weak. Three would probably weaken, and four with a critical is definately bad for it.)
King was struck by most of the rocks, save for a few that went flying off target, and one that hit Law in the shin, which prompted a loud shout of pain and a profane statement.
"King, Double Kick!" he commanded.
King ran in for a second one, kick twice at the Geodude yet again.

"Roll. Tackle."
So the geodude did. She rolled away, only taking one kick (though it was close to a direct hit, and it hurt). She then rolled up one boulder, and sailed through the air to hopefully do a falling Tackle.
Which, considering her momentum and weight, would hopefully hurt a bit.

King attempted to dodge the attack, but was hit square on the head. He was left barely able to stand and seeing double for a short while before being able to match up the two Geodudes.
"King, c'mere!" said Law.
King turned his attention to his trainer and stumbled over to him. "<Whaddya want?>" asked King.
Lawrance sprayed King with a potion. "Just that." commented Law. "Now get back into the fight."
King, now able to at least stand correctly with most wounds healed, ran back into the fray.
"<Gimme your worst!>" he shouted.

((Bunny, I love ya, but King is going to have to be knocked out. A typical potion will only restore 50% of King's health, and that's being generous. He technically should have gone down to that tackle. To play with round numbers the 50% from the potion plus the 5% that miraculously survived the tackle give him 55% health. Rock throw does 78% damage to a nido of King's level. He is going to have to be knocked out, unless you switch him out before the attack hits to someone who knows a special attack.))
Matthew laughed, the abrupt barking noise echoing around the arena. "Not so funny now, Mister Wise Guy, are you. Doe, hit him hard and hit him good, Rock Throw!"
The female geodude sighed. She love Matthew, but he really needed to understand that Geodude like to take their time. However, she obliged, ripping up small slabs of the floor, and hurling them at the so-called King.

(You have to take into account the fact that not every Pokèmon is the same. A 1 point increase is possible from the common Nido defence stats, and even a minor increase like that could save someone from utter destruction.)
King was hit full on by the attack. King struggled to get up, but managed to. Seconds later, he collapsed on the floor.
"Well, it was worth a shot." said Lawrance as he recalled King. "Now, I believe Geodude is a Rock/Ground-type, so... Krabby, go!"
He tossed a Pokèball to the feild and the small crab appeared in another flash. Krabby stared up at the Geodude before him. "<I'm probably gonna get my butt kicked here, but let's get this over with...>" he muttered.

((Average defense stat for a lv. 16 male nido = 20, Average Attack for a level 21 geodude = 50. Even if you moved the nido's defense stat up 5 points it's still gonna get pounded. I ran it through the damage counter and the basic damage shifts between 80% and 75% of Total health. Furthermore, Matt trains his pokemon for an all out attack strategy, so it is likely that the geodude has a higher attack stat than that. Thanks for telling me how to do my job, but I do take these things into consideration. ) Matthew just grinned belligerently. Peewee crustacean, or peewee rabit, it was all the same to him. "Doe, ROCK THROW!" The geodude's fingers dug into the sandstone floor, and began to rip out big hunks of rock. <You know,> she observed, as she began to hurl, <This is going to be a big pain to clean up later.>

Krabby attempted to skuttle to the side, but was cut off by a barage of stray rocks that knocked him down, followed by many others. He stood up fairly easily, though.
"Krabby, Bubble!" commanded Law.
Krabby's mouth began to foam as a stream of bubbles flew out toward the Geodude.
"I was expecting something more... Y'know... Menacing-looking." commented Law.
"<I'm only level 16. I have to make do with what I have.>" responded Kabby.

((BUNNY! WHY? You're using ANOTHER level 16? WHY DIDN'T YOU USE THE TEAM I SAID TO? YOU COULD HAVE WON!
I'm having issues thinking of a way for you to win now...I'm trying. So that's why there isn't a mod post in here. But really, it says so in the tips/tricks thread...you NEED to have higher-leveled Pokemon! So either spare yourself a loooong death here, forfeit, train your Pokemon UP TO LEVEL 20 (you have a bunch of rare candies...), and bring together a better team...or think of a really good way to pull this around.
Remember: level 16 is NOT USUALLY going to beat level 21.))

((Yeah I'm with Nyaa on this one. The bubble should bring down Doe before Krabby faints (barely), if you use enough, but why aren't you using any of your level 20 pokies? You've got to, and Kooky knows confusion, even if she does have a type disadvantage it's not as bad as using a level 16 pokie. Oh well, at least Krabby will do some damage, and your Marill knows water gun, which is a vastly more effective move than bubble. But yes, if you want to turn this around Either feed your Krabby 4 Rare Candies, or bring out either Marill or Kooky. Might I add as a final hint that all pokemon in battle gain experience when the opponent is fainted... If you've got a better idea for turning this around we're happy to oblige.))
The foaming water attack burst on Doe's craggy hide and she winced in pain. She could feel herself disintegrating. Gahk!
"Rock throw again!" Matthew yelled, never one to change a good strategy.
Doe sighed, breathing heavily, and scooped up a few more rocks from the pitted floor. At least all of the holes around the place would make it difficult for the Krabby to maneuver.

Krabby didn't even bother moving. He was gonna get hit and he knew it. Lucky for him, only a few hit, though. Still hurt, but not quite as much.
"Krabby, Bubble!" ordered Law. "I'm bound and determined to get that thing down without using Azu!"
"<Have I told you how much I hate you yet?>" asked Krabby before firing another Bubble.

The bubbles impacted against Doe's crossed arms. The water ran down the rocky crevices and channels sluicing out all the dirt and dust accumulated there, smoothing the rocky muscles in her arms down to almost nothing.
Matt grimaced. He had to use a different approach, now that Doe could barely use her arms. "Tackle that crab, and disorient him!" Matt yelled.
Doe rushed forward on her spindly arms, slamming into the Krabby with the full weight of her round body.

Krabby was struck by the tackle and sent flying backwards into a rocky structure and knocked out.
"Well, looks like I need to change my plans..." he said as he recalled Krabby. He tossed another Pokèball and out popped Azumarill.
"Azu, Water Gun!" commadned Law.
The aqua rabbit sent a stream of water flying from her mouth toward the Geodude.

((Since I'm feeling unusually nice...))
Doe, who had gotten a little too sure of herself, hadn't moved quite quick enough...and not only did the water catch her in the stomach, but it sent her flying into a stalgmite. She rolled back down, defeated.
Matthew rolled his eyes. "Well, I don't think your luck is really turning, but I guess you knocked out one of my Pokemon. I'm not congratulating you - you're very far from victory." He returned his geodude, then grabbed another Pokeball. "Tel, get out there and bring down that azumarill!"
He threw the Pokeball, and a small brown mole appeared. Tel, the diglett, looked around. "<Azumarill? Greeeaaat...>"
"Just Magnitude the thing."
"<Gotcha.>"
The mole dove underground, moving aside some rocks before releasing an underground tremor. ((Oooh...the generator gets you Magnitude 9...good luck with that...)) He popped back up, surveying the damage. The room had shaken a bit (usually they didn't shake the room - just the battlefield), but not as much as it could have. Still, it was a pretty hefty attack.

Azumarill jumped onto a rocky structure, jumping from one to another with amazing accuracy... Untill she jumped onto the wrong one and went down with it.
"<Note to self... Pay more attention.>" she muttered as she dug herself out from under the rubble. She had some scratched and a few bruises, but nothing all too major. She did seem to have a bit of trouble standing, though...
"Water Gun!" commanded Law.
The rabbit sent out a second gush of water toward the mole.

Tel decided to basically do the same thing, and dove down into the ground. The water grazed his head as he went in, giving him a really bad headache, but it didn't do too much damage. He still had a ways to go before he was knocked out.
He then released another Magnitude ((number generator gave you a Magnitude 1...lucky!)) before popping back up, but it barely did anything. Matthew frowned. He hated it when Magnitude wasn't effective...

Azu was shaken a bit and fell over, but aside from a slight problem getting up with her stubby arms and lack of legs, it wasn't so bad...
"Azu, blast a Water Gun into that Diglett's hole." commanded Law.
Azu did as she was told, sending a Water Gun into the hole the Diglett had created.
"Diglett holes are all connected if they're made by the same Diglett, and if the holes are filled with water, Diglett wouldn't dare go under." said Law.
(Going by the anime, in which Ash pointed out that not just water attacks, but all water hurts Ground-types, but I'm assuming still water has less of an effect.)

Matthew frowned, and Tel looked a bit nervous. Azu hadn't put enough water in to make it splash up to hit him...but the ground was becoming wet, and he didn't feel great about it.
"Try Scratch."
So the diglett moved forward, keeping the tunnel shallow, and attempted to scratch the rabbit...with...invisible, underground claws.
((I guess they have claws...somewhere?))
