((Please let this post get on to page three... (crosses fingers).))
Matt grimaced. Bloody water trainers and their bloody water types. Oh well, Tel was still strong after two glancing water attacks, and a few minimal magnitudes. "Tel, magnitude!"
The diglett nodded, backing up from Lynn a bit warily, and then slamming into the ground with his feet as hard as he could, though he felt there wasn't much left in the ground that could be triggered to errupt. The pathetic wavefront of dirt rock confirmed his suspicions and he watched the little ridge travel slowly toward Lynn with a sinking feeling.
((Tel had a magnitude 2 from the number gen, BTW.))

(WAHOO, THE NUMBER GENERATOR IS HATING SOMEONE OTHER THAN ME!)
"Lynn, use Nature Power!" Rain commands. I should've let her learn Fake Out, why didn't I let her learn fake out? Rain thinks, mentaly slapping herself.

((Too lazy to remember how healthy Tel was, and we need to get you out of this gym for purely unrelated reasons.))
A large waterfall of rocks tumbled down on Tel, crushing him from above. Although the attack itself didn't even so much as catch him off-guard, he took a rather large number of hefty boulders to the head...
And slumped over, unconscious.
A referee raised a flag in Rain's direction. "Round goes to Lombre."
Matthew grimaced. He hated water-type trainers...
"Roh," he muttered as he returned Tel and threw another Pokeball. "Get her."
The Pokemon that appeared, a large rocky creature, roared in agreement...then winked at her trainer. "<I'll start with Horn Attack, 'kay?>" Without waiting for an answer, she thundered forward, her sharp horn gleaming and poised.

Rain took that oppertunity to switch out again, and Benny appears in a flash of light just as Roh starts to charge. "Benny, use Water Gun!" Rain commands just when Roh gets too close to move out of the way fast enough, and Benny sends a water attack at the opponent.

However, Roh was quick enough to dash behind a boulder. She let the boulder take most of the damage, only receiving a bit of runoff. Sneering, she stepped a bit to the side, allowing her tail to be clearly seen. Then she whipped it back and forth...
Matthew nodded. Lowering defenses always helped with an offensive strategy.

"Benny, Magnitude attack!" Rain commands, and the ground begins to shake again. Maybe if I'm lucky, I can get rid of the rest of those boulders, there can't be that manny left, Rain thinks.
(Oh great Number Generator, show me some love!)

((Well...you got a Magnitude 2...))
Roh quickly ran back toward Matthew as the ground tore itself up behind her. She stumbled a bit and some rocks chipped at her legs, but other than that, she avoided the attack pretty well. She continued her run, gaining speed and lowering her horn. Once she came to the edge of the arena on her side, she did a quick turn-around on the soft soil, then charged toward Benny, poised for another Horn Attack.
Matthew glanced at Benny. He seemed pretty tired.
((If I were you, I'd take Benny out...in normal circumstances, he'd be tired, he's built for fighting in a different environment, and he's taken a rather large amount of damage compared to his health levels at the beginning.))

Just at the last moment, Rain again switched out Benny for Lynn, as the attack goes harmlessly by. "Lynn, use Absorb!" Rain commands.

((The attack has to hit somebody...and technically, you can't attack when you switch...))

(Fine, it hit, and then she uses absorb, is that better?)

((Sure, fine...Mori-chan practically yelled at me for not letting this take a shorter amount of time, anyway. )) Roh dashed to the right a bit, allowing the Absorb to hit her rock-hard hide. She grunted a bit (it did hurt), but ran back around. "Tail Whip," Matthew ordered in his intense monotone. "<Eeee-yup,>" replied his rhinoceros once she reached his side of the battlefield. Making sure her tail was in plain sight, she began to wag it back and forth...lowering Lynn's defense stat in the process.

"Lynn, Nature Power!" Rain commands. Lynn tries another Rock Throw attack on the opponent while it is using tail whip.
(Assuming Rock Throw is still the attack Nature Power creates.)

((Yup, it is.))
Roh giggled as she dodged some of the rocks and simply deflected the rest. They just bumped her...barely hurt at all! "<You're gonna have to do better than that, Lombre,>" she cheered, wagging her tail again.

During that moment that Roh was distracted, Rain recalled Lynn again, and switched her with Benny. "Alright Benny, Water Gun attack!" She commands, and the mud fish sends a blast of water.
(Bear with me here, I want this to end as soon as possible too.)

((Um...no...I don't think you can switch and attack in the same turn. You can't in the games, after all.))

(That's rediculous, this isn't the games! Its an RPG, which is closer to the show, so I think it would make more sense if you could attack after switching.)

((Fine, I'll let you do it since there's no rule. But the attack would still affect the Pokemon...just the one that's being switched in. I really don't think that using Benny is a good idea...he'd faint soon, since he's taken a few critical hits, a bunch of Tail Whips, and a huge amount of attacks from Matthew's first two Pokemon. I'd give him...either one turn, two turns, or three turns. Any more than that (including switches) is kind of godmoding...))
Roh, who was pretty far away, just dashed behind a rock, only taking the runoff. "<...I hate water,>" the rhyhorn muttered as she shook her back right leg, which stung a bit. She managed to dash out and get a Tail Whip in before she dashed behind another rock, preparing for the next attack.

(Not really, with the Tail Whips at least, if you look at the games, stats like that are reset after switching out, why do you think I keep doing it?)
"Benny, use another Magnitude!" Rain commands.
<You know, if we keep this up there won't be a battlefield left...> Benny points out as he uses another Magnitude attack. <Or is that the point?>

((Dunno how Jenta works in regards to switch-outs. (Guess I need to make another thread in the Staff Chat...) But I do know that Benny's taken...*goes to count* 10 attacks total, 5 of which were critical hits. If he doesn't go down in this turn or, at the very latest, next turn, I'm taking him out of the battle for godmoding. Come on...you have two Pokemon left. Only one has been sent out. Do you really need your barboach?))
Roh dashed farther away from the epicenter (she was already across the arena), and took minimal damage. She then charged forward with a Horn Attack.
Matthew took a good look at Benny. "He's just about to faint," he stated loudly. "He won't last more than a turn or two out here."

As Roh gets close enough, Benny takes a risk for a last attack, and uses water gun just as the opponent is bearing down on him. I don't know if he's going to make it this turn, but we can try anyway, Rain thinks.
(He'll faint after the attack actually hits, but I want this Water Gun to go through first.)
