"Yeah, I want to see you." Risha said persistantly to the shy Horsea, "But not to rush this, since we've only known each other for five minutes, you should come to me..." She didn't exactly want a blast of Horsea ink in her face for acting too quickly, "Don't worry, I don't bite."

"A-ano, why me?" asked the Horsea. But in spite of herself, she swam to the edge of the tank, and faced the trainer.

Moving quickly, Risha scooped the Horsea out of the water and pressed the sopping wet sea horse to her chest in a hug. Bad move. She shivered, and said bluntly, "Because you looked lonely. And you're cold."

(Heh. Your post made me laugh. Holding a wet Horsea to your chest is not advisable. XD)
The Horsea tensed for a moment, then relaxed into the hug. "I-I'm sorry I'm cold..." "She likes you!" the happy one squealed.

(xD Definately not. Just like trying to hold an excited Squee. Da flames are real.)
"It's okay..." Risha replied, and smiled at the happy Horsea, "Uhm... do you want to be my Pokemon?" She didn't really know how the partnering worked, as that question proved.

If it were possible for a Pokemon to blush, Horsea certainly would have, "Y-you want me?" She lapsed into silence, then, after what seemed like forever to the splashing Horsea still in the water, she mumbled, very softly, "Yes." "Yay, you found a trainer!" the happy one burbled, well, happily. "Excellent." said the Professor. He strode over to one of his many shelves, then found what he was looking for. "Here are five pokeballs, a pokeball for your Horsea, and your Pokedex." he said as he handed them over. "I'm glad you found a Pokemon that was to your liking."
(Ehehehe...)

(X-x You know, he didn't give Risha the Horsea's Pokeball. xDDD)
Risha moved the Horsea gently so she was holding her with one hand, and took the offered Pokeballs and Pokedex with a wide smile. "Thank you." She said, with a quick nod to the Professor, and turned to the Horsea, "And now we've got to name you... anything you want to be called?" She was already thinking of a few names, but most of them were not fit directly for a Horsea. ("River" being one example.)

"K-Kaelin , M'am. It means Waterfall Pool." The Horsea stammered.

"Kaelin? That's a pretty name!" Risha exclaimed much in the same way the happy Horsea had been going on, "...And you should call me Risha. "Ma'am" makes me feel like I'm some sort of dictator. Well, goodbye Professor, thanks a bunch!" She waved to him as she made for the door.
(Route 1, here Risha comes... xD)
