((-guilt- It is...But I don't pay attention to the name of the cities...XD))
Ryki blinked, "They put a paved road in the forest?" She could've /sworn/ that between Pewter and Viridian there was the Viridian forest. What'd they do, chop it all down? It had been, apparantly, a long time since she was here since she'd done that. "Is there still a forest?"
Ryki finally released her hold on her nose, since the bleeding had stopped a while ago-she'd simply forgotten about it-and her voice resumed the nearly-male tone. "I don't mind running. How'd you think I got fast enough to keep Jolts in sight? Jolteon aren't exactly slow, you know."

"No!" Revan, the enviormentally concious Hoennite, looked shocked (it was becoming his base expression). "By the forest, [/i]by[/i] he forest. You know the area just behind Digglet Tunnel? There used to be a path straight to Viridian there, and they finally put blacktop over it. It's a real time saver and cuts the traffic trampling through the forest by half."

Ryki grinned, holding her hands out in a placating manner, "Calm down, calm down! Yea, I know the place." Ruefully, she remembered how /she'd/ had to tramp through the forest, with only an Eevee to protect her from those murderous Weedle. She still didn't like Weedle.

"I'm perfectly calm," Revan replied, as Death bounced over, and started hopping up and down on his toes. "I just apparently have to get going," Revan looked down at the spoink, rolling his eyes. "You're welcome to come with me, if you can keep up."
He realized that this sounded rather boastful, and probably foolishly arrogant to Ryki, who after all was nearly as tall as he was, with longer legs. Of course, she didn't know that his nickname at school had been Lightning.

"You certiantly didn't sound calm." Rather like he was planning on protecting an endangered forest all on his own. Which was suicidal, or vain, or both. She looked down at the Spoink, making the odd comment on it before Revan spoke again. "Odd stone-Hm. Fast runner, are you?" She grinned, "Well, even if I can't keep up with you, I'll have company part way. Maybe I won't go insane and let out Jolts in such an open space then."
Ryki wasn't sure whether to believe him, or to think him boasting. She didn't want to look a fool if he was fast, but she didn't want to look as if she fell for everything either. So she settled for a middle-way. And anyways, the company really would be appreciated. Ryki didn't travel with people all that often. Some tended to find the danger she was willing to put herself in just to explore a place somewhat...odd.

Revan nodded, before realizing that, somehow, his original intention of getting rid of the girl had completely reversed itself. "C'mon then," he shouldered his pack nonchalantly. "Death, get off my toes. You've been hanging out with War to often."
*She's funny,* the spionk confided mentally, bouncing off the shoe he had been using as a trampoline. *Just don't leave me behind like last time.*
*I promise,* Revan replied, as he trotted out the door.

Ryki followed along, raising an eyebrow at the names of the pokemon. "Death? War?" It sounded to her like some morbid, crazy, trainer had named his pokemon, and was planning some hideous crime. Not that she thought that, but it was still an interesting, if improbable, possibility.
Of course, the whole psychic conversation went over her head. She couldn't even understand Wish, and the Espeon went out of her league trying to get Ryki to. Oh, the teenager got images, and sometimes a vague sense of a word, but nothing much. Not that it mattered, even that much was plenty for Ryki.

((It does sound like a psycho named those pokemon, doesn't it? I'm just waiting for someone to figure out the naming pattern I used for them. I bet Ruin will complain that I stole her thunder, though. <Sighs>))
Revan looked over his shoulder. "War's a, um, special pokemon. She's a bit, erm, agressive."
Death bounced up and down happily. *Yup, yup!* he sent in Ryki's direction.
"And Death's name is just a misnomer," Revan continued. "Er, psychics have an alarming tendency to name themselves. My unknown did the same thing, although at least his name makes sense."

"Agressive...Don't answer me. I don't want to know." A special, agressive pokemon. No, Ryki had enough with 'special' pokemon. Mostly in the form of hyper-active Jolts, but that was enough for her. She was not good at dealing with 'special' pokemon.
She stared at Death curiously, pretty sure the psychic had sent /something/ at her. But again, Ryki seemed to muddle everything in her head. It wasn't that she blocked out-She didn't know how, in the first place-But she turned it into a mess. No matter, she had the general sense of approvement from the Spoink.
"Wish mightv'e influenced what I call her-Not sure if that's what she wanted, but can't do anything about it. You've got an Unknown?" That seemed to be almost more interesting than the fact that his Spoink had a black pearl. "Saw a couple of those one time-Not very good though. They disapeared when they realized I'd seen them, which was a second afterwards."
((Well, don't count on it being me. I'm HORRIBLE at finding out patterns.))

"Oh, I wish I had your problem," Revan muttered, as he began to walk out of town. "When you wake up in the middle of the night and see this one big unnown eye staring at you -- that's when you learn how easy it is to go from dead tired to wide awake and terrified in less than a second. Pest is an unnown P, and he wouldn't leave me alone. He has a telepath obsession."
Death spoinked along. *He's funny, too. Everyone's funny,* the psychic commented.

Ryki probably would have gotten along amazingly well with Death, if she'd been a psychic. Which she wasn't. No matter. "Telepath obsession?" She stared at him for a moment, before shrugging. "One of my sister's has a similar problem. Only her's is a pokemon with an obsession with dancing. Only problem is, it's a Manatee, and not very good at dancing out of water."

"It could do synchronized swiming," Revan suggested. "I'd happily trade pokemon with her, in fact."
*I heard that,* Pest muttered from the depths of the pack. *C'mon Revie, you know you love me.*
"Shut up!" Revan snapped before coloring. "Er, I wasn't talking to you," he assured Ryki. "Pest was making comments."

Jason sighed as he waited. "I have to wait here. I could of stayed home if I knew the wait would be this long."he replied. He smiled and fingered his parents' Charizard's old pokeball. Though the pokemon had died, he still carried the empty pokeball in memory of th e pokemon.
(Lalalal....Jason's getting tierd of waiting on the others.)

Ryki blinked, somewhat taken aback. Normally people didn't shout out to shut up, after all. "'Er...Sure." Ryki was somewhat amazed. This path was much shorter than going through the forest. She stifled a giggle though, since she remembered the one time she'd taken Zach through the forest.
Now that had been funny.
"Hm. It's what she does with him-But her skills are on dancing on /land/."

"I'm not in the habit of talking to myself!" Revan said, feeling her skepticism, and amusement as he began to jog. "So, wait, your sister is a dancer, but then why did she catch a mantine of all pokemon?"

Jason sighed. He had been waiting for atleast an half-hour. "I wander what's taking the others so long to get here."he murrmered. He continued to climb the stairwell as he waited. "I wonder who these other people are?..."he said to himself.

Ryki matched her pace to his, shifting slightly as her backpack settled into a comfortable position. "I'm not psychic, nor anything of the kind, so it's hard for me to believe you have voices in your head. 'Specially pokemon voices. So if I think you're crazy, rest assured. It's normal. I won't say you're crazy, and I might not think you're crazy, but right now, you're crazy." Since the sentence didn't make much sense, she left it at that and decided to pursue a different topic.
"Hm? She likes water pokemon. She's got a Vaporeon-Lady's sister, in fact-and a Goldeen too. The Vaporeon is wonderful on land and in water, the Goldeen doesn't like to dance much...And, well, the Manatee was a gift, I believe."

"Just be glad I'm not a high level psychic or you'd hear the voices, too," Revan muttered.
He concentrated on calming down. The wind was in his face and his legs were keeping up a steady rhythm. He could fall asleep doing this, it felt so natural and easy. He sped up unconciously, and Death grumbled as he increased his springing leaps in order to keep up with his active trainer.
"So," he addressed Ryki again, feeling totally calmed, "why water pokemon? You would think normal pokemon would be more up her alley."
