Bunnyman shall always rock...even with the warning level he's had for months.

What is his warning level? (I'm too lazy to check.)

Ummm. The warning levels were reset. Here's my suggestion: A request board/thread for people who are looking for others to RP with outside the mods. A "Do you wanna travel with me" type thing. Since, yeah, we don't really have a set rule for that, and having people just randomly drop in on a board has lead to threads being deleted, and discomfort among the mods not knowing if a journey is consensual character stalking, or just a jerk following another player around out of pure desire to ingratiate themselves to that player. The requests could play like this: Version 1: (Open Ended) Hi, my character in Tejan, Rose, is looking to interact with another character on a regular basis, since she's a friendly person. Is anyone able to do this? Version 2: (Specific) Rose would like to join the "Tur zum Abenteure" thread. Is this okay, Bunny, or are you not able to be online at the same time as me? Version 3: (Other Things) Hey, Rose would like a Rival. Jason, can she appear in your thread for a small battle, Grasstra vs. Deet? Is anyone else in Tejan interested? Version 4: (The Announcement) Jolty and I have been PMing back and forth, and as soon as he gets his starter we'll be traveling together. This is just our thing, and we'd prefer to keep it that way -- although Nyaa can mod for us if she feels that she has to

Wait... I didn't PM MF... Oh no! Don't listen to her Nyaa-sama! She trying to steal my mercury eating cat! *takes cat and runs away.*
On a more serious note, I believe this is a good system to use. It would help structure joint journeys and allow the mods to know before hand what is going on in the thread at the moment. (The more background-on-thread info, the better.) I support this idea, but MF ain't getting my Catamury till it's done!

Sounds good, but I am only online for enough time to set up Ishi's board/thread/nehhhhh. So if you wanna set it up, go for it. -_-

Ok... I want this place up and running again so I can lure MF and NN (maybe even swellow and Skitty) back on here, but there are obvious problems that tend to be notice a lot here... One, the lack of mods... Two, the abundance of regions and subregions and random created characters and the largeness which is Jenta's plot that was suppose to go into effect this summer... Everything else is good for now, but those are the glaring problems Jenta has... I need suggestions about how to address these problems and no, letting Jenta die like all the rest of the pokemon RP site with little care is NOT an option! ...well it is, but that ain't going to happen while I'm around! (Plus, I trying to get out of studying my history notes for my final exam...)

Ehhh. The only way I can think of is deleting all the boards and rebuilding the site from scratch, but I'm not sure if that's wise.

Um... Bunny has a suggestion. Bunny could bring in friends from Laokia to give tips. Ash and them have dealt with this stuff before, they might have some tips for Jenta.

I think starting Jenta from scratch would be smart. :/

Haha, starting from scratch would be hilarious. But I'm kind of...like...dead. So um...yeah. Sorry Jenta died, everyone. I miss it. But I'm probably not coming back anytime soon, and next year I go off to college (AKA no more Nyaa-Neko), so...yeah. Mrr. Sorry. I miss Jenta's heyday and all of you so much. <3

(Ohmigosh, I am double-posting. Aiieee sorry. NN has officially broken the rules! GASP. Go tell Ruin. ) Oh, and I was actually all for restarting Jenta before. But I sort of like having everything archived, you know? That was what I did when I moved everything to invisible boards, so if you wanted to read them, you could, but they weren't cluttering up the front page. That, and I sort of regretted doing a plot because people got all mad and I didn't have enough time to devote to it. That, and I didn't like the Tejan/Jenta thing because it split people up and people got all mad and it was like blehhhh. (It's late, so my vocabulary died.) But yeah. If we could make Jenta simple/easy/quick for me to take care of (like it was back when Skitty ran it, sort of like an unfinished baby region?), I could probably come back and help a little. Maybe. Hopefully? Haha, I feel so guilty for abandoning you all, since some of you are actually still HERE. I'd probably make it so there was no plot, no tricky group system that you have to explain to every single bloody newcomer, no...bad...things... (You remember what I said about my vocab after midnight, right?) So, um, yeah. No promises, but if it's what you guys want...? (Oh, and if we actually did restart Jenta, would you want everything built COMPLETELY from scratch? Like, a completely new region - ie "New Jenta"? Or would you just want things restarted from a certain point, like when I took over from Skitty/Naolin? Again, no promises, but if I have the time and you guys want it...)

I think Nyaa wanting to be a part of Jenta again is awesome. *Raises his hand in approval*
And I think starting from scratch and making a completely new region/Jenta is called for, IMO anyways.

I say keep the region somewhat the same (town names, routes, skyscraper building of Jenta, ect. ), but reform everything else about it. If you still want some sort of level cap group system, just make it so the gym leaders require a certain level range in order to fight them. Jenta stucture shall also be made like a regular linear region. (I'm still not quite sure how to make a multi-routed region quite yet) The pokemon would need to be updated, even though not much change during the 3rd to 4th gen hop in my opinion.
Also, I think Tejan and the rest of the sub and main regions should take a small dirt nap till activity comes back up. This should reduce front page clutter and make us focus all our might on one region and plot. *shutters at the word* Reforming the plot... that would take a lawn mower, a chain saw, and a tractor tiller to get that back into a workable size. *ignore the random puns made here...*
And remember, Tejan was suppose to be our fast region, but we saw how that turned out. ^_^;;

I know Jenta, the region, comes first and it needs the most attention at the moment and everything but I'm curious as to what's going to happen to the plot.
Would the plot be restarted? Continued? Or will there be a whole new one?

The plot is a delicate piece of work in its own being. A good amount of our members have plot stolen / chosen Pokemon, which means if the plot gets scraped completely, a lot member would gain or loss Pokemon in the process...
Or, we a pronounce all of the current events in Jenta was a joint dream that involved everyone and now they are actually waking up to start or finish their real quests... mean the fluctuation in owner ship of Pokemon would only be gained and not loss unless the plot Pokemon were too powerful or important...
The easy way is to scrap all of Jenta and start fresh, but that also renders a lot of wasted time typing and thinking... I rather not start my character over again... I'll find someway or explanation so I don't have to do too much work restructuring this site over again...

I'd rather start from scratch. I mean sure we'd probably lose hours worth of work, but if we started from scratch we could get riid of all the clutter, including threads that are dead. And if we restarted from scratch, those of us who forgot where we were, might be a bit happy.I dunno, I'm not very good with ideas and stuff.

I think start from scratch would be best now. It doesn't take long to make characters up again. Plus, I learned a new philosophy yesterday. Sometimes it takes 30 pages of zubat dung to find the one sentence that just "clicks" when written. I believe I have a slight plot that might work, but it needs to be refined in my mind. The only hint I'll give out is it ain't going to be easy. My evil demon of a trainer will make sure of that. > ^w^ For the time being, since Tejan is still young in postage, that region will remain open to post and explore in. Just make a character and run around the skyscraper zone that is Ruby City. Even NN can make a character and I'll RP for her when she feels like letting out creative steam.

I think this "start from scratch" idea should be discussed on the Staff chat. Really long. Because we do have a bunch of problems that need to be ironed out, but some of us have worked loooong and hard to level our pokemon up on Jenta, and having to start that darn process all over again is a major disincentive to come back. The reason I'm back at all is that I:
1. Wanted to get cracking on the plot with Tommy -- but if we're scrapping the plot that's not going to happen. 2. Wanted to finally challenge Arisa with Tommy's high leveled pokies -- but if we start from scratch, that's not going to happen 3. Wanted to get back on leveling Carra in Miteinja -- but if only Tejan is going to be open, that's not going to happen. 4. Wanted to continue in Desiple -- but that's not going to happen if only Tejan is open, and not everyone else is posting, since it is such a major collaboration... 5. Wanted to work on my "other" RPGs -- this is definitely going to happen, btw, as long as VT is here.
So, out of 5 reasons for me to be back, only one is looking legitimate at this time, and that's only if VT manages to get out from under the burden of school work. Yeah. Major disincentive for me. It's not such a big deal for people like Jason who gave up on Jenta and have been whiny about it for a long time. But for people like Lee, Yuri, Pascal, and myself who have been working long and hard in Jenta to get to where we are, it's a smack in the face.
Disengaging from the plot might be the answer at this point, although it is weeks worth of work from several different parties down the drain, or reformatting the group system, or something, but I think this is a problem that needs to be talked out on the Admin/Mod level, since we'll be the ones who are scurrying around trying to get it all to work.
