"I like this island. It looks almost like my home; Grass flows everywhere and has randomly place trees." David brethe in the Sankaku air and wish he could find something more than grass.
Althought vast amount of grass is good, battling and catching new pokemon would be better since that why he came here. "Are you guys still back there?" he said to some moving blades of the green stuff. A few native pokemon sound emitted from them as Ellen, Randall, and Zen struggle through the tall, thick grass to the shorter grasses their trainer was standing on.

((Baltoy r0x0rz your s0x0rz. X3 ))
Suddenly, an ancient-looking spinning top...well, spun out of the grass. Blank red eyes focused on David, and he soon stopped twirling, and gave the boy a good look. "<Ah. A trainer, I see,>" he noted in a raspy, accented voice. "<Wh't would ye be visitin' the island for?>"

"To explore and train my team," he said while holding his hand out to his pokemon. "I was also hoping to recruit more pokemon, since I'll need a strong to team to defeat the gym leaders of this region."
< We can battle, > Ellen exclaimed to the Baltoy, finding an excuse for getting sent back to her comfable and safe pokeball, and as a plus, she'll be showing how much she repected and adore her beloved trainer. Her hair ruffed as she ran at the ground-type, using a tail whip on it when it was close enough.
"Well... that was unexpected..."

The baltoy shook its head, spinning to try to get the strange effect out of its head. It didn't work...so the Pokemon simply spun back toward the eevee. It spun fast and faster, causing its body to glow a bit. The ground rumbled, and a few rocks floated up. With a "<grraAH!>" the rocks zoomed toward Ellen in a fiersome Ancient Power attack.

The forceful rock ended up delivering Ellen into the tall grasses behind her. Crawling out of them, she was mumbling something about if this was a good idea.
"You could have waited for me to say something," David said with a chuckle. That action earned him a small, but low growl toward from her. "Now then, use a sand-attack on it."
She bounded over to the spinning top again, but this time used her tail to push loose dirt from a dry patch toward the head of the baltoy created from using Ancient Power. She then hopped away from it a little, watching her results.

The Baltoy spun backwards, and his arms went to rub at his eyes. <Akk, ppth! I'll show you, rodent!> his eyes glowed blue, and a patch of grass lifted into the air to come crashing down to the ground. Obviously even a confusion attack needed good eyesight to aim properly.

Ellen smiled brightly at the baltoys reaction. < Never knew that attack could come in handy. > Facing her trainer, she tilted her head while letting her ears perk up.
"Nice work, Ellen," he said proudly. "Now use a quick attack on it!"
The eevee started to run around the pokemon, gaining speed with each passing second. Since she soon felt that she could go any faster, she ended her circles in a wide arc and headed straight for her target, ready to collide into it.

Ellen's attack knocked the baltoy off his precarious balance. He fell to the grassy ground with a thud, and a puff of dust. Again, his eye slits glowed blue, but this time it wasn't in attack. He Rose into the air, twirling slightly, to stand upright and balanced again, although now a dark crack could be seen on his sandy exterior, thanks to Ellen's fatal shove.

Although she felt like that was the best way to build up speed, Ellen was now dizzy, stumbling to get up on her feet. < Creepy... > she said watching a spinning picture of a baltoy rising it-self up. Shaking her head only made it hurt more, so she just went with the flow of it.
"Wow..." he said, putting a hand on one hip. "That was certainly an amazing site to see. Can you use a growl for right now?"
< Sure, > she said in a slightly loopy voice. What she emitted was a cute sound instead of a fearsome low growl.

The baltoy winced as the sound waves reverberated in his body. It hurt enough to make his attack go down...stupid Growl! To reliate, he decided to use another Confusion, and his eyes glowed blue.

(( No problem. It just happens sometimes because of a lack of words in your mind trying to describe the event in your head. ))
As Ellen's dizzyness ended, she felt her body floating in the air for a moment. A cool breezed flowed through her fur, but it was abruptly ended by blades of grass and loose dirt brushing passed her while experiencing a pain in her side and the feeling of rolling. The world stopped as she did also.
Soon she would relized that she had been pick and thrown back, but that fact didn't concern her right now. < I see stars and birds... Are they going to attack me?! > She rush to her feet, backing away from them, but they stayed the same distance from her. Panic set in as she started to run around, shouting her native language, while shaking her head and trying to attack them.
"Your confused," David said blankly while staring at her. "This really isn't good, you know. Try to use another growl!"
< Get away from me! Get away! > Not giving ear to anything Dave said, she started to use a quick attack around in a circle. Depending on how somebody would see this sight, she was either running away from the floating, in-her-mind objects or trying to attack them without any luck at all.

The baltoy paused, giving up its turn just to stare at the eevee...what was she doing?
Oh, then it realized. Confusion. Of course.
Then it chuckled. It was always really funny to see this when it happened...

Her circling turned into a loopy line that ended at the base of a randomly place tree in the thick grass. David sign, pointing Ellen's pokeball towards that general area. The red light found it's partner, returning her into the small orb of electronics.
"Rest well," he said to the ball before placing it back on his belt. He grasped another one and gave toss; thus, he released Samantha who gave a small hum as she waved her leaves over her head. < There's a pokemon over there. >
"I know... could you use an absorb for me?" he said with his eyes focused on the psychic top. She only gave a "humph" of disapprovement to David before running up to the baltoy so she could lay her smooth leaves on top of it's head.

This proved to suck the remaining health out of the baltoy, and it fainted. It was then promptly carried off by a team of riolu, one of which screamed "<YOU DIDN'T SEE US!>" as they ran away.
David's Pokedex beeped, indicating that Ellen gained 1 1/2 levels while Samantha gained 1. This put Ellen at level 27 1/2 and Samantha at level 28.

<...that was disturbing.> Samantha said, seeing her foe get carried off. < I don't even think I want to remember what happen here.> With that, see returned herself into her ball, leaving the rest of her team frozen in place.
"Ookay. Should we explore more now?" David said, as he diverted his eyes to the random tree Ellen ran into.
< Sure. The more we train, the stronger we'll get. > Randolph replied to David in a unsure voice that showed he never expected something like that to happen again. < And I think straight forward would be best.> Thus, they all continue pass the damaged ground the battle had left behind.

Suddenly, an abra teleported up to David. Her eyes were wide open, something that usually didn't happen...
She smiled sweetly. "<Did you know that your eevee is sick?>" she asked, laughing evilly. "<Do you know what happens to sick eevee? Hahah! It's so amazingly wonderful! Nobody knows how to cure them! Hahahahahah!>" And with that, she teleported away. In her place was a small scrap of paper...part of a map, one would guess.
Half a word was left on it. It read "Buildi-."
Before David could process this, a nincada scampered up to the group. She looked breathless. "<Did a weird abra run by here? She's been harassing everybody!>"

"Yeah, she appeared here," David said with a crossed voice. "Then she teleported away. You just missed her." He pick the paper left behind, glanced at it, then stuffed it into his pocket.
"<That's weird,>" Randolph said using the same tone his trainer used. "<Abra never have their eyes open like that. If they do open them, it's only slightly, never wide...>"
"I thought you were... Nevermind. I don't want to know. Anyway, do you have an idea about were she might have gone next? I want to explore what she said to me." He quickly retold what she had said to his team, hoping she might know something also.

The nincada paused. "<Um, may I see that paper, please?>" When she looked at the paper, she furrowed her brow. "<I think the word says 'building'. Is there any sort of important building on the mainland? I know there aren't any on this island, but the abra population does go back and forth...>"

(( I have made one of these post in a long while. ;D ))
David crossed his arms, trying to think of some building on the main land that stood out. "Well, I did get a flyer about a new place opening in this region before I came here." He dug around in his back pack and pulled out the ad. It was a picture of a massive multi-floor building with the words "Coming Soon" writing on it.
He showed it to all of them before giving to Zen who just caught up to them because of his speed. The tiny turtle looked at for a few second before tilling it a bit to the right. He blinked at it, then a small smile emerged onto his face.
"<Excuse me, but I have seen this place before,>" Zen finally announced. "<The professor brought me there once when it was just a huge construction site. He was muttering something about approving it with the owner before he started to sent trainer there. I can't really remember where the place is though... Sorry>" The squritle slightly shrugged, saying something in Japanese that probably meant "It wasn't that big deal to me to the time" while passing the paper to the Ralts beside him.
"<That's the Nishihara Building,>" Randolph exclaimed, surprised he didn't realize it sooner. "<A few birds that passed by us used to lived over there. They said it was a growing monstrosity that took up so much space they had to move their nest elsewhere.>"
He handed the flyer back with a satisfied grin on his face. "<I can teleport you there if you want to go. Not really sure if this is the place that Abra came from or went to, but it's a start. Also, a lot of people hang around there, trainers and non-trainers. One of them might know something about what's going on.>"
Using his powers for travel wasn't his style, but it would be the quickest way off of this island. Beside, he wanted to find that Abra more than anyone else here. Psychics don't go against their natural nature unless something towering happened.
"Yeah, that's a good idea. In that case, we'll be leaving Nina, or do you want to come help us?" Although David was eager to find out more information, he didn't want to miss the opportunity to get a Pokemon that would help him to defeat his first gym leader.

The nincada thought for a moment. She weighed the possibilities of him being a poacher and him being a worthwhile trainer, then made up her mind.
"<Okay, sure. But under one condition! I have a dead 'twin' who currently lives in my body as my shell. I want you to make sure it is kept on the team with me when it falls off and develops its own conscience!>" The nincada glared at David. "<After all, when it does fall off, I'll be a ninjask, and I'll be more than capable of hurting you AND getting away.>" Then she grinned. "<How about it?>"
