((XD))
Apparantly he had also forgotten that Huur was literally made out of steel. The headbutt didn't really phase her all that much, besides eliciting the comment, <Oh. That'll leave a bruise.> If Lairon even got bruises. Which didn't seem likely, but if they did, she would have one. Satisfied with her reasoning, she politely waited for Zach to come up with a move to use.
Zach nodded, "Ah, thanks. Oh!" Realizing the battle had begun, he quickly flipped through Huur's stats, this being the first time he'd battled with her. "Okay, Huur, use Iron Tail!"
This was a fairly easy thing to do, and the large, lumbering pokemon had an easier time of it as well, being as the slowpoke was close from his headbutt attack. Which meant she didn't have to chasing after him to use the attack, which suited her just perfectly. While her tail glinted and shined with the transformation from steel to iron, she whirled around in a parody of a twiser (a very slow turning one), intending to slam the limb into the Slowpoke.

The slowpoke gave an "<oof!>" as the attack, while not strong against his type, knocked the wind out of him. From the side. If that was even possible.
He rolled into the grasses, crushing many with his large body, then stood up blearily. "<Good...Ir...on Tai...l!>" He congratulated woozily, as he suddenly gained a headache. So he sat down and focused his headache into an Amnesia, forgetting that even that wouldn't help, since lairon used mainly physical attacks, not special ones.

Zach was on a roll, since he didn't seem to take any notice of the Amnesia, besides the fact that the slowpoke wasn't moving. So he decided to take advantage of that fact, "Use your own headbutt, now, Huur!"
Huur groaned. She had to actually walk? In any case, she managed to dredge up the willingness to do so, and charged foward with her head bowed just enough to pass as a headbutt attack. Since really, it wasn't that difficult for a Lairon to use a headbutt attack, even without lowering their heads. They just had to shut their mouths. Large, flat, heads were good for that sort of thing.

"<Oof!>" The slowpoke gave a similar reaction to the one he gave the previous turn as the lairon once again collided with his side. He was knocked into the ground, and took a moment to stare up at the sky. He suddenly realized that Amnesia was really only good for long-range attacks or attacks on the mind...it rarely helped for physical attacks.
Clambering up to his feet (which was a harder task than before, as his side really hurt), he pulled all of his thoughts together. Closing his eyes, he looked for Huur's psychic field. Once he located it, he opened his now-glowing eyes, and forced his Psychic attack out on Huur's body.
Apparently, he also forgot that lairon were pretty good at resisting that sort of thing.
((Or, at least, I think they are. @_@ ))

OoC: -can't help herself- Piplup's final evolution thing is sooooo COOL! -likes it-
Of course, Turtwig is neat too...-bites fingernails- I can't wait for the games to come out...
Mm. I looked Lairon up (since I was on the site) and...I has no clue. 0.o
BiC:
Not that it didn't hurt. Huur had never battled a psychic pokemon before, and the experience wasn't welcomed. Huur hate it when things hurt her, because they hurt. She really, really, really, wanted to make the Slowpoke hurt, so when Zach called for another headbutt, she gave it to the pokemon.
As strong a headbutt as she could manage, if only it would make the thing stop hurting her!

OOC: Piplup's line is so awesome. Pokko-chan, my darling NEWLY EVOLVED Pottaishi/Prinplup, is my favoritest Pokiemanz evar. X3 No wait...I luffle Biidaru/Bibarel...so funny lookin'! ^_^ Oh, but Rukushio/Luxio is awesome, too, since it's a lion, which is like the non-normal kitty I always wanted. >_< Oh, and Subomii/Budew is soooo cute! And useful, too, in the beginning of the game. I can't wait for her to become a TOTALLY AWESOME Roserade! Hrrm...-_- Oh, and then there's always Mukubaado/Staravia, who is a super-awesome bird to rival the other birds...uwaa! @_@ AND HOW COULD I FORGET about Korotokku/Kricketune? That thing is so cooooool! I cannot decide...*huggles current Diamond team* 1 month + 1 week left (or 38 days, if you will)! ^_^;; BIC: The slowpoke gave another grunt as he was once again knocked into the ground. This time, it seemed, it hurt even more, since his opponent seemed to be a bit ticked off... He rolled over, a little dizzy. Did he hit his head, or was that his normal headache back with a vengeance? Or was it always like that? He couldn't remember much... So he tried one last Amnesia before keeling over. Apparently, he forgot that he was already out of health. A note flapped down through the air to land on Zach's head. "Your lairon," it read, "successfully defeated a level 49 slowpoke, thereby giving it one level. That means it is level 50, and it is allowed to evolve. Would you like your lairon to evolve into an aggron? If you do, would you like it to learn Metal Sound, which aggron learn at level 50?"

Zach blinked, "Lairon evolves at level 50?" Did he want the steel-type to?
<Oh! That means I'll be even better at pummeling things! Lemme, Lemme!> Huur seemed to be uncharacteristically enthusiastic about the prospect of evolving, and could be pictured as jumping up and down, even if she wasn't. It was kind of hard for Lairon to do that.
Zach, shrugged, "Sure. Mmm...And I guess you might as well learn Metal Sound too, since it could come in handy."
So...Huur did. Which was really kind of interesting, because the red light didn't really mask everything, and it looked like she was melting in on herself and then solidifying into a much different shape.
Zach was fascinated and staring open-mouthed at his new Aggron when Huur experimented with walking.

((Mrrr? So is this the temporary end of your Sankaku Island thread, or would you like to train more? You can always train your other Pokemon, if you'd like.))
