Terra and Tommy

Tommy looked around the arena and gulped, before shakily walking across the dirt battlefield. When he got to the challenger's box, the row of six pokeballs slid down on the vertical stand that was next to the "safety zone" for each trainer.

"Okay, Hey Terra, you ready yet?" he called, picking one of the pokeballs. "I choose Shrifty!"

Terra slowly made her way to the challenger's box. As she heared the 10 year old boy, she slightly nodded in response. "Yes...I think I am. Let's do our best!" she said giving an enthusastic smile and picked up one of the pokeballs from the ones that were lying on some table nearby. Without thinking much she threw the pokeball into thin air and the pokeball burst open.

Out came a small green pokemon with a circular shaped like leaf on it's head. A lotad. Terra gave a small smile as the pokemon appeared infront of her and turned her attention to Tommy again. "Since you let out your pokemon first, you should attack first as well." she said politely.

"Um, thanks," Tommy cleared his throat, as in front of him his ancient pokemon glared at the younger grass type. This was going to be tricky. He hadn't even seen half of this pokemon's moves used before in a real battle. However, there was a cheat sheet stapled to his stand telling him the affects and powers of the moves.

"All right, shrifty, use Nasty Plot to start things out," Tommy declared, thinking it over.

His shrifty cackled, rubbing its fan hands together in evil glee. The red and yellow eyes danced with dark machinations as his special attack rose in consequence.

[ Omg, sorry! *Turns red*...Oh well, I knew he was too smart for his age. XD Oh, and I'm so going to loose this battle. *Slaps himself*]

Terra smiled at the opponent as it boosted himself up. Since Lotads were common pokemon from the region she was raised in, there were many in her grandmother's shelter. So she knew about them quite alot. "Lotad, try your Zen Headbutt!" she yelled out from the challenger's box.

At once The Lotad's heads started glowing with a purple aura and it dashed with a quick accurecy towards the scary and evil Shiftry.

[Okay, I have no idea how the move works. XD]

((Just like a regular headbutt only in the mind with more power and a higher flinch rate. But it's a psychic attack, and shrifty is part dark type... ^^;))

'Faint attack!" Tommy cried as he saw the little water type run at the grass type.

The shrifty stepped back, and vanished into a shadow. He reappeared instantly behind the small evolution, and smacked into it with dark energy crackling off his leaf fan hands.

Lotad was hit pretty hard by the Persuit and was quite taken back. But after a secnd or so, it hopped back up. "Try your...Mega Drain attack!" Terra said after a pause. And at once the pokemon started to absorb's the opponent;s HP.
