Welcome to Jenta!
Site News:
School Session Jenta is now entering the sluggish time of the school season, where the admins and mods have to deal with real life and so can't be on regularly. We've had a great summer, and we hope to see you in the winter, when we come back. Hope to see you then!

Zach obediently left the tea to sit for a bit longer, focusing instead on Annie and his options for a warm meal. It all sounded very good, but it was the simple fact that tomato soup was familiar that decided him. He'd been having quite enough of 'adventurous' and he wanted something he knew. "I'll take tomato soup, then."
Tripod, having grown bored of exploring the area, clambered up next to Zach and and yawned. It was about time for a nap, she supposed. She didn't dislike sleeping, enjoyed it in fact, but she was worried she'd miss something while she slept. Interesting things were happening, or at least, they had been. The longer she sat in the chair with her trainer, the more boring it all became. In a typical time frame she became bored enough that sleep overtook her easily. It took exactly five minutes.
Zach decided that he'd let Tripod nap on the chair, rather than returning her to her pokeball. He'd wait until he was getting ready to set out to do that. Then, it would be someone else's turn to accompany him. He didn't want to let all of his pokemon trail behind him, but if he wasn't in a city he didn't see why one (or two) could be out with him all the time. It certainly kept him from freaking out at every sound.

"Alrighty," Annie smiled, before heading over to the back.
In the kitchen behind the counter she warmed up the soup on the stove. Humming the theme to Harry Potter, Annie danced back over to the machine, and picked up Zach's pokeballs. Putting these in her little black apron, she went back for the soup. It had reached the right temperature in the mean time, and Annie ladled out a bowl of thick red-ish orange liquid. She added shredded basil leaves and put a small packet of crackers on the plate next to the bowl.
Coming back into the main room with Zach, she slid the plate in front of him, careful of the tea. "Got everything for you. And here are your pokemon, all refreshed," she smiled as she handed them to the shorter boy.

"Thank you very much." He placed the pokeballs in their proper places before tasting the soup. It tasted like tomato soup, which should have been obvious. It was quite welcome though and Zach smiled at Annie, "This is good." He found it odd eating in front of someone who was not also eating but he figured she probably had already eaten or something. Tripod's nose twitched as the scent of the soup reached her, but it didn't wake her. Zach wouldn't be surprised if she had started to snore shortly, for that matter.

"So," Annie busied herself with a cloth and the counter, wiping it over with the rag. She found that cleaning things all the time helped. It kept big spills from looking like catastrophes, and you never knew when a health inspector was going to pop in. Admittedly, they usually called ahead. But the principal was the same. "Where're you from?"

"Hm? Oh. I'm from...'Eh, Kanto and Johto. I mean, I grew up in Kanto, same as everyone else in my family, but I've spent the past four and a half years in Johto. I liked the starter pokemon there most. For the last half year I've been here in Jenta though." Perhaps he had a thing for regions starting with J? Deciding not to share that thought with Annie he rubbed Tripod's ears with one hand while he worked on finishing up the soup with his other. It really was good soup.

"Oh, I'm surprised. Not a lot of people like the totodile line. I suppose you preferred cyndaquil and chikorita, though," Annie questioned. "And when you got here what did you take from the lab?"

"Haha. Yes, I chose chikorita at Jenta. She's a meganium now, and quite happy keeping my mother's plusle and minun company." She was a very pleasant pokemon, in fact, and not given to acting on impulse, which just made Zach like her more. "As for here...Well, I got Rapheal, my Zangoose, as my group three pokemon starter. I also have Jasmine, a sandshrew, as my group one starter..." He didn't really want to think about his group two starter, the dreadful ghost. Shuddering, he mentioned, "And...A shuppet, for group two."
